I feel like some of the current problems with Zilliax could be fix if they just got rid of the mech tag. Which I know goes against the character but think about it, no more resurrections from Dr. Boom, no more magnetic sparks from Rogue, etc.
I guess we don't get a preview for the Twist changes? Or do they just mean adding in the new characters without any fundamental changes to the other playable characters?
At the bottom of my description I recommend using Recurring + Twin as an option to have Shudderblock multiply the Twin Module's Battlecry. If you do this, you will shuffle more 5-cost copies into the deck that will all transform into 8-cost minions when you play The Azerite Murloc.
However, if you'd prefer to keep battlecries to the absolute minimum, then you can choose Recurring + Virus to still git multiple copies back in the deck without a battlecry.
Funny you say that because I actually did used to have Nostalgic Gnome in this deck list, but I changed it to an Ancestral Knowledge for additional card draw. But if Whelp Wrangler doesn't feel good enough, adding Nostalgic Gnome back in might be another good option.
One advantage to Whelp Wrangler is it can be played early to generate more than 1 token, and since the tokens have taunt they can further protect the early play, with the downside that they are much weaker later in the game. Nostalgic Gnome can't be played as early and only generates one Mini, but it is more useful at any stage of the game.
Thinking about it as I type this, the deck does already have a good number of options for 2 mana it can play that maybe it is a better idea to replace them now.
So the Whelp Wrangler are meant to generate 1-cost minions to potentially become either 4-cost minions in hand or 10-cost minions if played before the Shudderblock + Azurite Murloc combo goes off. They were also chosen because they are not battlecy minions, so Fairy Tale Forest can more easily search for the deck's key minions.
That all said, I do acknowledge that they are a weak topdeck and I may end up replacing them if they don't seem to work well. Possibly with Walking Mountain or Giant Tumbleweed!!!.
From what I can tell, the minions in play might still evolve to +9 if you do this combo, but the minions in the hand and deck will only evolve by +3. I have made a few adjustments to my version of the deck with this in mind.
Did hey seriously skimp out on the Death Knight Legendary Signature again? They did that once before to sell Helya as a Diamond card, are they doing the same again for Headless Horseman or something?
I also thought it was a "zombeast" type of build-a-card when I first read it and was really excited. The actual effect is still cool, but man I would have LOVED making a monstrosity as a legendary card, could have even fit the "build a bear" toy aesthetic.
YO! These revealed cards are pretty cool. Some nice pickings for the type of deck I wanted to build. And wow that is one sticky legendary minion if you don't silence him in some way, I approve >:3

Interesting that it says "Choose 2 minions" and not "Choose 2 other minions", perhaps in theory this card can target itself as an option too?

Hey thanks! It's a fun little change of pace from the dominant decks out there.

I have some bad news, this might not actually work the way we assumed. It may just transform the cards 3 different times at the same cost. https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/1b4ta38/you_gotta_dream_big_in_life/

Gotcha, I admittedly didn't pay attention to last expansion. Still too bad about this round.
