WhiskerWow posted a message on New Rogue Card - Gadgetzan FerrymanPosted in: Card DiscussionFirst time combo has been used NOT to make a strictly stronger outcome, but to make a pseudo choose one effect, as bouncing a minion back to your hand is not always a good thing.

Seagull0 posted a message on Malkorok Hype!!!Posted in: WarriorQuote from Remster101 >>Quote from Randymarshlol >>Nothing is rotating out when MSG is released.
What? really?? Source please! This is just really sad. You need a source because you don't know how rotation works. On top of that using that to judge a card when we haven't seen the entire set and making a post with declarations on card power. Typical hearthpwn. Are your other 1000 posts like this too?Just think before you post man. Threads like this are going to spread nonsense around. Why? Just why do you have to be such a bad person and make fun of someone who's just lacking in information and the topic at hand has nothing to do with his intelligence or his mental state. Just why do you and people like you have to go down to this level to feel a superior over someone for a very short time frame? Can't you just be a decent human and just offer the information instead of making fun and ridiculing someone just because you knew something that he didn't? -

terobero posted a message on BGH and Hemet Nesingwary sounds.Posted in: Card DiscussionI think that their sounds are mixed. If they exchanged sounds it would be more meaningful imo.
Big Game Hunter: I've got a beast in my sights!
He actually doesn't destroy a beast. Guess who destroys a beast? Yes, you are right, Hemet Nesingwary! Lets look at its sound.
Hemet Nesingwary: Ah, the thrill of the hunt!
Who usually does the hunting? Yes, you are right again. Hunters. Who is a hunter? Big Game Hunter.
I think that I explained it well. Hope you guys understood.

PRKSlayer posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #4.01 [SUBMISSION]Note: If the cost is reduced, it will base the healing cost of that amount, so using a Naga Sea Witch and playing this card will only restore 5 health to your hero. If an enemy Loatheb is used and you discard the card, it will restore 20 health instead.
My ultimate goal of this card was to make one that wasn't a reducing cost effect, and I feel that it was achieved with this design.

Zukuu posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #4.01 [SUBMISSION]Posted in: Fan CreationsThe Lurker Below is the second boss of the Serpentshrine Cavern and has a chance to be summoned by fishing.
Flavor: "He is just really shy."It has basically a 1/3 chance to be a 8 mana 11/12 or 12/11. As a trade off however, if you are unlucky it could also not be playable for quite a few turns, even if you are already at 10 mana.

SideItem posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #4.01 [SUBMISSION]Mill Rogue was hands down the most fun I had playing (even if it was pretty all or nothing with regards to actually winning) and once most of its major tools got rotated out I was sad. I made the Saboteur to be a utility tool for the mill deck. Originally I envisioned the Suck Fish's cost being stuck at (11), but Rogue has a bunch of ways to replay cards multiple times and even I wouldn't want to win by just filling the opponents hand with complete dead weight. The current cost reduction mechanic thus has a push-pull incentive for the average mill deck, as the more you cause the opponent to draw from their deck the easier it'll be for them to offload the unwanted anchor fish.

jonultra posted a message on New Card - Twilight SummonerPosted in: Card DiscussionCan someone explain why this minion says "This document looks legally binding" when it is played? I don't see the relation between that line and a summoner?
The summoner has a "pact" with the faceless destroyer. Its kinda like a joke similar to if one were to sign a contract with a demon. You're pretty much screwed, or in this case, sucked into the void and replaced by a 5/5. (If you also have noticed, he says signed in blood (referring to the document) when he attacks and screams "wait what?" after he dies. So yeah, its a contract. -

Banquetto posted a message on When 'Evolve' Goes WrongPosted in: General DiscussionI evolved Fire Elemental into Baron Geddon. He destroyed my board and lost me the game -__-
Actually the whole seven mana spot is pretty awful, I should really stop evolving fire elementals even when they need a heal...
You know that EVERY young Fire Elemental wants to be Baron Geddon when the grows up. Their true dream is to evolve again into Ragnaros the Firelord, though. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

What is it about the word "random" do you not understand? Random literally means no one built the deck, just software arbitrarily throwing a bunch of cards together.

Spiritsinger Umbra
Flobbidinous Floop (Strong and playable but hardly the game-breakingly OP card that everyone feared it would be)

Yeah, you should, and dust Baku and Genn while you're at it too, they are all totally irrelevant cards.

Zerek, Master Cloner has without doubt one of the nicest art in the set, especially in gold! I just love the colours on that card, especially when combined with Priest's white background.

You don't understand what a pun is. A pun refers to a joke that exploits the different possible meanings of a word or words which sound alike but have different meanings: https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/pun
Leave nofin behind is a pun because it exploits the fact that "nofin" sounds like "nothing".
Tinderling is a pun because "Tinder" has multiple meanings (it refers both to the dating app and flammable material) and both are referenced in the card (the art is of firewood while the effect references the way the dating app works).
Simply replacing a word in a well-known phrase or book title is not a pun unless the replacement word sounds like the original word. "Boom" sounds nothing like "Hitchhiker" so "Boom's Guide to the Galaxy" is not a pun.
(P/S: I'm not saying that Boom's Guide shouldn't qualify because the competition rules simply require a pun or a "play-on-words", the latter of which is quite vague and broad. But I would give more points to cards that actually are clever puns, like Tinderling.)

It is weaker than Odd Rogue, which is very prevalent in the meta now. It's hard to get any of your totems or poorly-statted minions to stick vs Valeera's 2-Attack weapon and Fire Flies/Dire Moles/Argent Squires.
1
It's not just you. It looks terribly low-res to me. I'm not liking this cheap-looking fuzzy art-style (the same can be seen on cards like Nethersoul Buster, Extra Arms, Soul Infusion, Necromechanic).
3
If you read the card text literally, there's no reason to think that she even keeps the Stealth...
5
The counter for Spell Hunter that we needed!
5
Not exactly the same since with this card you still need to get your minion to die, whereas Necrium Vial triggers it immediately, no questions asked.
