posted a message on Shaman OP? Look at Rogue please.

There are plenty of ways to beat the DR Rogue deck.  Silence or a Freezing Trap wrecks it, and it depends on good draws. You were just unlucky to face decks with good draws.

Galakrond Shaman is way more consistent than the DR Rogue deck and basically cannot be countered or teched against.

posted a message on New Priest Legendary Card Revealed - Murozond, the Infinite

People are sleeping on this card. This is very strong. The fact that targets are random isn't an issue since you choose when to play this. Obviously, you wouldn't be playing it after a turn where your opponent was slinging around Fireballs. You would be saving it for a turn when your opponent played some valuable (non-Battlecry) minions or spells which aren't targeted.

I see this as better than even Ysera. If you are building a Dragon deck, it is an auto-include.

posted a message on New Priest Legendary Card - Mindflayer Kaahrj

The word “new” before copy suggests that this card works differently from other copy cards - you will get a full health version of the minion with no enchantments? This would make sense since the effect is a deathrattle, and the status of the original minion copied may have changed in the meantime.

    Nobody:

Team 5: You're right that the new Dragons we've printed may be too weak to shake up the meta, so here's a legendary to make Dragon decks viable!

posted a message on New Mage Legendary Card Revealed - Chenvaala

This is better than Dragon Soul. A 2/5 for 3 mana is ok even if you never get the effect to trigger, whereas Dragon Soul is a 3-mana do nothing card if you cannot trigger its effect.

Plus mages have more ways to generate cheap spells than Priest, and their spells are generally more flexible in terms of when would be beneficial to play them (whereas Priest spells tend to be more situational and need to be timed correctly).

This seems pretty bad. It's 5-mana do nothing card. At least Mechano-Egg can be magnetized and consistently gives you an 8/8 mech.

posted a message on New Common Neutral Minion Revealed - Evasive Drakonid

This card is amazing. Usually big minions with the elusive effect are legendaries (Soggoth the Slitherer, Tyrantus).

It would have been playable even without a tribe, but the addition of the Dragon tag puts it over the edge in an expansion where you most likely want dragons in your hand.

Is this supposed to be a GoT reference? The ship ballista that Euron used?

Huge ballistas are usually portrayed as anti-dragon weaponry in many fantastic settings. The Hobbit had one, as well.

It being on a ship is clearly meant to reference GOT, though.

posted a message on Should Counterspell counter Flare?

There's no neat way to bend the rules just for Flare - you need specific card text on either Counterspell (e.g. "Does not counter Flare") or Flare (e.g. "Immune to Counterspell") to make that happen, which is very inelegant.

Also, it's fair since Flare is only a 2-mana card while Counterspell is a 3-mana card. If you use Flare to trigger Counterspell, you are actually ahead tempo-wise and can safely use other more valuable spells.

So yes, I think Counterspell should counter Flare too.

posted a message on Are the killing the hype ?

They have stuck to the same release pattern for the last couple of years - there will be an announcement accompanied by a handful of card reveals, followed by 2 weeks with very minimal card reveals (in the single digits), and then ramping up in the last 2 weeks leading up to the expansion with an opening stream, 4-5 reveals a day by various "community" influencers, and a closing card stream/dump.

It's the exact same formula each time so I don't know why people are still surprised and posting threads like this. Just be patient.

posted a message on Will Auto Chess games affect Hearthstone in any way?

The vast majority of HS players don't care about streamers or what they do. I personally play Hearthstone daily and buy every expansion but don't watch streamers (never got the attraction of watching other people play a game instead of playing it personally). So I doubt HS will die just because of what streamers do.

posted a message on Undtakah + Recurring Villain Bug?
    Quote from serotoninronin >>

I know it won't. Listen to what I'm saying. I'm offering a hypothetical. If the text of Da Undatakah read "Copy the deathrattle effects of three friendly minions that died this game" instead of what it actually says "gain...," then would it go infinite with Recurring Villain? It's not complicated: I think things change a lot if you replace the word "gain" in the text of Da Undatakah with the word "copy." Am I wrong?

I literally answered your question. What part of "It won't" do you not understand?

I guess I need to repeat your question in full when answering it, since you clearly have trouble with comprehension: "No, the Da Undatakah won't go infinite with Recurring Villain even if the text of Da Undatakah read 'Copy the Deathrattle effects of three friendly minions that died this game' instead of 'Gain the Deathrattle effects of three friendly minions that died this game'".

The comparison with Faceless Manipulator fails because Faceless Manipulator transforms himself into a copy of the minion, such that his identity changes to that new minion. So if Faceless Manipulator copies minion with an effect that resummons itself when it dies, the minion that is resummoned will be the minion that was copied (e.g. Recurring Villain), rather Faceless Manipulator itself.

On the other hand, Da Undatakah only gains/copies/whatever-you-want-to-call-it the deathrattle effect, but retains his identity as Da Undatakah. So, when Da Undatakah dies, he resummons a copy of Da Undatakah, NOT a copy of Recurring Villain.  And since minions that are summoned instead of played don't trigger their Battlecry, the resummoned Da Undatakah will have no deathrattle effects.
