Obviously, if you get lucky and your hero power is ready earlier than later will make a lot of difference on your outcome. I had game where opponent left early without any minion on board. I had to face that opponent 2 out of my 4 first match-up... No need to say my hero power took a lot of time to ready-up.
Siding that...
I'm a freak of society. Which mean, I always try to do menagery unless the hero have a very strong bound to a particular type.
So, with Ragnaros, menagery just feel right. Say, you have a Cave Hydra or Foe Reaper 4000 as your leftmost minion and a Yo-Ho-Ogre as your rightmost minion they get very destructive early.
Yo-Ho-Ogre being a tier 2 minion, you can get early. Cave Hydra or Foe Reaper 4000 being mid/late can be replaced for a Crackling Cyclone until you get a cleave minion.
Adding a Lightfang Enforcer or Charlga in that mix help a lot. And maybe Goldgrubber if you manage to get a few golden minion... but with menagery... Having the right minion is more important it than having golden minion.
If that was indeed the case. Then, it's broken in multiple way :
Hunter can just keep the first Abyssal Curse in their hand to progress their quest for free. So, while Warlock are already unfavored against hunter. If they are a Quest Hunter and you are a Curse Warlock, you should just concede turn 1.
I assume my opponent's Spell Damage (instead of my spell damage) will increase Abyssal Curse damage at the start of their turn. I doupt we will see the return of Quest mage with Arcanist Dawngrasp or the shaman trying anything with Bioluminescence beside some weird OTK.
Anyways... nothing I mentioned so far really mather because I had very weird result with Abyssal Curse deck. I either do 20+ damage in 1 turn or die without any chance of doing anything. But I did want to share the interaction between the hunter's Quest and the curse.
I see it as an issue with priest capacity to generate a lot of value with discover and the ability to reduce cost of card. This is nothing new and Kaz is not to be blamed here.
I was already forfeiting most game against priest because nothing is more annoying than watching a priest play Sethekk Veilweaver and Nazmani Bloodweaver.
Playing a lot of Kazakusan Druid and had very polarized result with it.
I'm ignoring Trogg comment. He was a thing before and was wrecking my Druid Quest anyway. So that's nothing new. If some player want to farm on me with Trogg, they were already before Onyxia Lair.
My real issue is how the game just want to punch me in the nuts with the draw. I had game where I had all my ramp card in hand and all my control card in hand but never was able to pull Kazakusan. Other time I had the perfect ramp and could pull Kazakusan on turn 4... But the treasure were all bad.
Overall the deck will die. It's not consistent enough to be competitive. I will likely just adjust my previous Druid Quest to add Kazakusan as an "anti fatigue" tool which was an issue I had.

Nope because it won't change the meta.

Playing a Phylactery Mine deck. It's not good but feel satisfying when I can pull up an OTK.
Currently Platinum 3 and grinding slowly toward Diamond.

F***ing Priest with infinite card generation once again. Don't care if it's good or not. Priest are always cancer every expansion.

Well at least there is one way to take advantage of it by using the warlock quest against mirror Abyssal :P

Fairly sure I saw my opponent Defend the Dwarven District trigger at the start of his turn after I played Sira'kess Cultist.

Discounted Brann x Hooktusk to steal 4 card from your opponent hand. Sound fun.

With today reveal of Naga Giant. My big return wish is for Holy Wrath, just to try it out :D
I mainly play Druid and Warlock.
Lost in the Park might lose Pounce and Feral Rage from the current Core. It will also lose Moontouched Amulet. While Lost in the Park was not "competitive", it was still very fun to play with. If we lose all of those card... it's a dead card for sure.
Secure the Deck and Savage Combatantcould help a lot and I am still hoping for some late Naga reveal.
As for Warlock... I miss Mal'Ganis.

*** Wish for next core set ***
Holy Wrath
We have everything to make it happen.
Sir Finley Sea Guide, Seafloor Savior and Tuskarrrr Trawler to put Naga Giant on top of the deck.
Holy Wrath for instant 20 damage to face. Unless it does the discounted damage?

You might need to "Forfeit/Abandon" your run as your deck might contain card/artifact not available anymore in current season.
I had the same behavior Friday and when I started a new run, I had less than a minute queue time.

Not with Kurtrus, Demon-Render but with Guff the Tough & Mark of the Spikeshell, I managed to hit for 32 Damage? Might have used Solar Eclipse somewhere....

Didn't know it was possible to have 3 Golden Wrath Weaver but with Lich Baz'hial, they were crazy.
My Unearthed Underling got to 250/250 :D

The thing is, Druid will lose Lightning Bloom, Solar Eclipse and Overgrowth at rotation.
Is Kazakusan oppressive because of Druid? or is he oppressive regardless of the deck?
