You included every other class but priest
He doesn't want to acknowledge it's existence and I understand.
Sure you can silence him. People are trying to exploit summoning him through other mean and duplicating him. So, while you can silence him once... if they are 4 of them in play... you would need an aoe silence (which you might not have on hand).
Not saying he is unbeatable. But a lot of people see potential in him in a lot of deck.. Either by duplicating him or as for myself... as an easy target for Sacrificial Warlock.
I can't really rank each Hero in a situation of "are they going to define the next meta... or not".
How I can rank them is "Can I build a fun deck with it... even if it fail".
And Wildheart Guff is one of those card. Just because of that Unicorn-land dreamlike play :
Turn 1 -
Draw 1 card
Play Lightning Bloom x 2 + Wildheart Guff
1 mana gain (not empty) + Draw 1 card
Play Tour Guide + Hero Power for an additional mana (not empty)
Play Coin(if available) + Manafeeder Panthara (or any 2 mana good card available)
Else... play additional Tour Guide or Irondeep Trogg ?
While very rare... I believe it's totally possible and potentially game wining turn 1 for Wildheart Guff player. That mean you are 2 crystal ahead on your opponent turn 1 with board presence.
No. That's because respawning a minion is not a good strategy to win. There are far better options, like OTK the opponent's face. Why should you put cards in your deck to support a respawning a minion strategy when you can simply put the same amount of cards to OTK your opponent?
Well.. if you only play OTK deck... why even bother coming here to discuss Korrak? By the way... Resurrection priest would like a discussion with you about your statement : "Respawning a minion is not a good strategy to win"
I could also see Korrak in Warlock deck alongside Dreaded Mount in a "Sacrifice your own creature" deck.
Ritual of Doom
Grimoire of Sacrifice
Void Terror going to love Korrak....
Thanks for the tips. I don't know how worth, it would be, to hold on Wildfire until after you use him....
Coldarra Drake is still something in standard? O_o
I see this as a support to both Hero Power mage and/or big spell.
That's assuming the hero power don't reset to 1 damage if you increased it previously with Wildfire.
That's also assuming the Honorable Kill would trigger from Reckless Apprentice.
That's the same quote that I interpreted differently.
You might be right, I might be right... This is still ambiguous comment from Iksars. We will only know when the patch hits.
On the topic, I don't see OTK as an issue and I do believe player are overreacting.
I believe, the more way player may win, the more diverse the game is. Which in the end is a very good thing.
But the power level of agro deck and tempo deck is so high. It doesn't leave much space for combo/otk and control deck...
So when an OTK finally appear in the current state of the game... well people have to play it on turn 7.... because if they don't they are already dead by turn 4-5 by face/agro deck.
IMO, if the overall state of the game was slower - aka agro deck winning on turn 7-8 instead of turn 4-5 and OTK/Combo deck winning on turn 9+. There would be a lot less whining (edited from winning*).
So TLDR : OTK always existed, is a good thing for the game, but the state of the game (overun by agro/face ) force OTK to happen on turn 7.
I don't know if you read the article. But, I miss the point where he speak of nerfing quest Warlock and quest Mage specifically.
He say "We're higher on from-hand-only gameplay than we'd like to be. Some of that will be addressed naturally over time, people are playing some pretty bad decks at a pretty high rate, which never lasts. Part of it will be addressed via balance patches."
For one part, one could read it as : "Nerf won't be needed since player will figure out way to counter problematic deck"
For the other part, on could read it as : "We will nerf something, but it might not be quest warlock or quest mage as so many hope"
And their is also the way to take it as : "We will address quest mage and quest warlock.... but not as hard as some player might hope".
So.... nothing to buzz around yet as the patch announced might not even touch any card used in quest warlock and quest mage.
Just saying, don't make your hope to high.
