Well, I'm no poet, but I thought you guys would like it. What do you mean by clean looking formatting? I did format it line by line before posting, was pretty sure it's ok.

posted a message on Why you should be playing Elder Scrolls: Legends

I play both HS and ESL (now it's usually just daily quests). I consider ESL to be a better game mechanically but HS to be a better game overall, even with so many of its flaws. It's just, I don't know, more engaging? And surely more fun to watch.

Ambush: Do X if summoned not directly from hand.

The opposite of Battlecry, will work with every effect that places the minion directly on the battlefield, for example Ancestor's CallBarnes, or any Deathrattle effects (Piloted Shredder, Moat Lurker.

posted a message on A little bit disappointed with the new set

I'm not a big fan of tri-class cards, I think they will be fine, but nothing too exciting. What I consider a real new mechanic is creating custom spells, I would like to see more cards utilizing this mechanic in the upcoming expansion. Unfortunately I don't think they will include more, though, due to them being very powerful and hard to balance.

One of the last sentences should be shortened to just 'Ben is responsible for the Hearthstone troll mumbling', now it's more true.

posted a message on How is getting Legend actually possible?

It isn't, that's why noone has ever reached it.

I did some simulations one day, the lowest winrate with which you could actually achieve legend when playing 24/7 was about 47 or 48% (winrate as chance of winning the game, not % of games won after reaching legend). To reliably get legend when playing a few hours a day, you need a winrate of around 60+%, I don't remember exact numbers. And, however you may look at it, winning 3/5 games vs rank 5 players is not easy, if you can't do it, it probably means you are not ready for it.

    Just watch ThijsHS on Twitch.

yeah..been watching him a while..hes making expert plays with an inferior deck right now and losing mostly...not that great of an idea betting ur legend rank on yogg
He was like 21-7 when ranking up to legend and around 28-11 later? Yogg is incredible when you are in a losing position and terrible when in a winning one.

posted a message on Power level in wild

From what I've seen in other threads, many people prefer playing standard instead of wild, even though it doesn't give any (really, any) benefits to non-professional players. I think the main reason behind that is how the most powerful cards from expansions like naxx and gvg warped everything and significantly decreased deck and card diversity. Blizzard nerfed many cards lately, some quite well, some to the ground as usual (looking at you, Arcane Golem). Many people create nerf/buff threads with tons of 'improved' cars (and they usually suck hard or become op), these are the cards I deem to be the main culprits behind the problem (not in any particular order) and my shot at actually improving them:

Mad Scientist - Extremely powerful and nothing can even come close for any secret decks, I (and almost everyone else) use it in every mage/hunter decks which has any secrets. I would change its body to either be 2/1 (susceptible to pings), or 1/2 (can't trade with any relevant 2-drops). The card could still easily fit into secret decks, but wouldn't give as much value as it does now (trade with a 2-drop, draw a card, play a 3 mana card? wow).

Piloted Shredder - Used in any deck that doesn't just go face face face. And in some of those, too. Under usual circumstances none or almost none class 4-mana drops give such an incredible amount of value as a shredder, especially if you find that Millhouse Manastorm inside. It's very sticky and survives every AoE, too. I would change its body to 3/3 to not let it trade directly with most of the 4-drops, the value would still be very good, but not overwhelming, and maybe wouldn't be included in every deck.

Dr. Boom - There was a lot of controversy around this card, with many people claiming it should be nerfed, and some saying 'learn to play around it noobs'. Every card can be played around, but when it is played in almost every deck possible, gives insane value compared to other cards of that, or even many of +1 mana slot, you know something is not right. With BGH nerf it's even better than before. I think the best of the proposed nerf I've seen for him is lowering his stats to 7/5. It could be killed with little minions, taken out with cards like Fireball or Shadow Strike, and still leaves his powerful bombs on the board.

Mysterious Challenger - What this card did was creating a whole new archetype by itself. Which is good, even though so many people hate it and call it cancer (don't call any decks, and especially players, cancerous, guys, it's not nice). The problem is in how strong and prevalent that new paladin archetype has become. Which is not good, no. Of course Challenger can be played around, too, if you have a board and some spells in hand. But it gives the highest value of any card in existance (draw 5 cards and play them? thin your deck of terrible cards, get insane board position) and requires lots of resources to deal with the situation it creates efficiently. The idea behind this card is very good imo, but it's simply too powerful - I'm not sure what the best solution would be, but probably nerfing it to a 4/5 would be just fine.

I think these 4 changes would make Wild mode much more playable and Blizzard had a perfect occassion to do so lately, do you think they don't see the problem, or are these changes just not needed and the power level in wild is just fine? Or do they not care about it at all, because 'who the hell still plays wild'?
