Kwakdizzle posted a message on Brawl Block: Feeling Adventurous is This Week's Tavern BrawlPosted in: NewsPeople seem to hate it, but I for one liked it. Forms a new mini meta and there’s less net decking, so it’s something fresh. The smaller pool of cards makes building a deck a lot faster as well, and I got to whip out my wild adventure cards which aren’t even viable in wild anymore. I made a pirate galakrond warrior, and dragon decks seem to be popular.
oh and no DH

EternalHS posted a message on Zeddy's video on DH and the state of the meta right nowPosted in: General DiscussionDH isn't unbeatable.
Decks being build around the most powerful deck(s) IS how metagames function and form.
The class doesn't need a revamp. Maybe an additional nerf at best.

Those are the same people who complain about just every good deck until its nerfed so they start to complain and whine about next good deck. Just over and over again. They will complain about meta even if its ok, they will complain about good decks even if they are not broken, they will complain about totally ok cards like Edwin. Or they will complain something is not good enough. There is no way to satisfied them.

BerserkerBladerX1 posted a message on Legitimate question for everyone complaining about the meta- Were you EVER satisfied previously?Posted in: Standard FormatTopic, basically.
It just seems like something's ALWAYS too OP. And I feel this is grossly mishandled. Something's always going to be the best option in the game. It's just how this stuff works. Being the best option available and being overpowered are very different things. So I'd like to issue a challenge to everybody -always- complaining about the meta- Were you EVER satisfied with it? I mean, come on. Hearthstone's been around for five years. Are you really going to tell me they got it wrong every single time throughout all these expansions and adventures we've had? Really?

TheNameForgotten posted a message on Does anyone else feel like the dormant cards we got were a missed opportunity?Posted in: General DiscussionI feel like there is a lot more that can be done with the mechanic and what we currently have is pretty boring compared to what it could be.
Off the top of my head:
"While this minion is in play, adjacent minions are dormant. Give them +2/2 at end of turn." (I'm not sure if there is a better way to word this, but the minions would awaken when they stop becoming adjacent or this minion is silence/destroyed)
An Overstated minion that goes dormant for 2 turns after taking non-lethal damage.
A taunt and lifesteal minion that awakens when your health goes below 15.
Ysera card that starts dormant and shuffles dream cards into your deck and awakens once you draw a nightmare

It's not fun for people to read this.
It's not fun for the OP who wrote this.
It's just not very good and a giant waste of time.
The only reason I could see is he being butthurt and immature.
How screwed up in the head do you have to be?

samuellima91 posted a message on Can someone tell me why people play albatross priest?Posted in: PriestBlizzard was already aware of the possibility of someone creating this obnoxious deck. That's why they printed Wyrmrest Purifier in the same set. It's a counter to all opponents who like to shuffle stuff into your deck. That includes Bomb Warrior and Weasel Priest in wild. It's an alternative to transforming effects (which is the only true hard counter to Albatross and Weasel).

Snizzey posted a message on Reached Plat 5!Posted in: General DiscussionHey All-
I have been playing since Witchwood and have only reached Rank 5 once and that was with Secret Hunter. I know that some of you are a much higher rank than this but for me it is an accomplishment and has renewed my interest in the game. I used a Bomb Warrior deck and it has been a blast with so many different ways to play depending on your opponent. OK that's it :)
Got this deck from a Regis video:[deck]AAECAQcEHJuUA96tA765Aw0WkAPUBNQImpQD0qUD3KkD3a0DpLYDq7YDu7kDwLkDnLsDAA==[/deck]

Priest has had buff cards since the dawn of hearthstone, and Paladin hasn't had any cards revealed yet. I can almost guarantee that there's going to be something for them coming.
1
Ramkahen Wildtamer has premium stats and gives card advantage, but never sees play because the 3-mana slot in hunter has so much competition.
2
People HATED machine gun priest back when it was T1. I don't understand why some people are clamoring to have it back. As mentioned previously, Raza is already playable in wild.

Oh heck no Small-Time Buccaneer. That thing is cancer, and Pirate warrior is still strong in wild.
1
Cobalt is strong, but with the removal of several mechs in Battlegrounds, it's been reigned in a bit.
1
I think handbuff cards like Grimy Gadgeteer would be interesting.
1
Hunter is indeed pretty strong right now. What to nerf though? There is surprisingly little overlap between the two decklists here.

It's worth noting that Prince Keleseth wasn't played very much at launch. It took several weeks before Rogue started to abuse it.
The Caverns Below deserves a mention, but If we're talking about a disparity between expectation vs reality, then To My Side! takes the cake. It had recieved 70% "Dust It!" votes upon reveal, then proceeded to be used in a tier 1 deck. Not even Backstreet Leper got that many "Dust it" votes.

The Blizzard post was:
"Planning to have a nerf to Demons later this week.
We'll keep an eye on Demons and look at them again after our next big Battlegrounds content patch, which is right around the corner."
So it looks like this is a temporary fix.

Some people are acting like Embiggen has always been broken, but it had a pretty mediocre playrate and winrate before Winged Guardian was released a few weeks ago.
