Nice work - I was thinking of building it into my spreadsheet but never got around to it.  Saved me some work.

Yes, but the purpose is not clear at all - why go from zero each month when they know our MMR?

As only a few people seem to have figured out - the ranking system is arbitrary for the entire duration of the multiplier.  I suspect the only reason it's structured that was is to provide a base line for the stacked rewards as that's the only thing the ranking system serves.  Blizzard stated that matchmaking is based on MMR until the multiplier is exhausted, which clearly states the ranking system is redundant until that point!

To be fair, for someone who subjectively values golden cards significantly higher than the majority of players this change *would* look like a downgrade - they're entitled to that opinion as golden cards are what motivate them.  Me on the other hand, golden cards are nothing more than dust receptacles.

The general mass population are allergic to critical thinking.  They mask this with insults and denial.

The OP has merit in theory - and he is correct in saying that if top streamers were to implement it, then the rest would follow.  The majority are sheeple who just copy everyone else.  You only need to look for when Thijs (etc) plays a new deck and it's in the meta within 24hrs.

The sheeple are in denial though, and they don't wish to actually think about their position - so they'll continue to criticise and marginalise.

Good work thinking outside the box OP.

Also keep in mind that games are independent from each other, so the chance of the cards being in the bottom half / 5 cards of the deck don't change, no matter if they were on top of the deck or at the bottom the last 1, 2, 3 or 1000 games.

The lazy trolls won't know how to respond to this one

Where was that announced?  They stated the Wild cards would be in Standard until "the next major update".  I wouldn't exactly call the end of an event a major update.

Fun to see all these casual players condemning a format they can’t properly comprehend.

We have seen community tournaments with sideboards of 10, which all the pros participating unanimously agreed was too many.

Personally I’m very excited to see how this will play out, and it will actually get me back into watching tournament play.

This will not be the final form, thinking that is ignorant. If you’ve ever held a job anywhere that develops a product, you should also know this. It takes iterations to perfect, but I’m very excited about this first rendition.

Your input would be well received if it didn't come off so elitest.  Your assumptions are poor, and well all assumptions are stupid at the best of times.

Well yee master of the cards.....I hereby invite you to actually contribute and give a short little explanation for the casual condemners!  Enlighten them so they too can can understand the excitement of what is to come!  :)

Ha! "We're pissed off Blizzard! We demand Tournaments!"

     "Sure, here ya go"

"Bastards! That's not what we asked for! You've ruined EVERYTHING!"

At least there's *some* movement towards it. For fucks sake.. .

My favourite reply so far!  :D

I'll definitely be playing tournies, and it WILL be a lot easier for me to enter them as a F2P player.  But on paper comparing the current format to the new format, it just feels watered down, rigid, and too dependent on everything that happens *before* the games.

I may be wrong, lot of the time am, I'm here to learn and get myself a more informed decision.  Hope it's great!
