2. Achievements - Oh boy do I love this. What I was hoping from rumble run is to have check marks on which shrines you have won with but no. Non visible achievement doesn't give me anything. This time however not only you get a check mark on completing a run with a class, you also need to complete them with different decks/hero powers AND you need to do them on all chapters and heroic too. Some people will hate this, but YOU CANNOT SAY THERE IS NOT ENOUGH CONTENT TO DO

3. Bartender Bob - Best part for me lol. I like the system that sometimes you maybe don't pick anything or you can make your game plan totally different by adding a +2/+2 buffed 1 drop to your every starting hand or getting the enemy board full of random minions to your deck or delete your worthless cards from the deck. And it takes you away from the "tension". You are with bobby having a good time!

4. Dungeon Run 2.0 - People have pretty much said nothing is as good as og dungeon run but I think dalaran heist got ahead of it. It keeps the core mechanic but adds so much more versatility with the hero power change, deck start change, bartender bob and the different twists on each chapter.

5.  Golden Zayle, Shadow Cloak - New players love this (altho you gotta buy the stuff first) and so does any whizbang loveers!

 

Of course you kinda can't compare Dalaran Heist to others cause you pay money/gold to get, everything else is free content but still, worth the money in my opinion. Don't know if worth the gold but worth the money definitely. I have never bought adventures with gold. Free stuff of course would be more nice since the past year single player content has been free but what can you do. As long as people are buying it, they won't make it free again. Are you willing to not buy the thing to send a message to Blizzard?

 

Maybe I should have played more and through all current content before giving my opinion/wait till all 5 chapter released but I have seen a few threads where people aren't that happy so I decided to give something positive instead! Looking forward to the future chapters.

 

In the end if I could rank all the single player content we have gotten in the past year it would be something like

1. Dalaran Heist (dungeon run 2.0)
2. Puzzle Lab (basically no rewards/replayability but I loved everything of it and one of the best experiences I have had)
3. Dungeon Run
4. Monster Hunt (basically toki)
5. Rumble Run (too much rng etc)

 It's not a scam, it's an offer, a possibility. Whoever decides to buy the adventure knows exactly what they pay for. 

 as much as i dislike that we have to buy a slightly changed feature we got for free in the past, this isn't a scam. a ripoff most definitely since you really don't get close to the value you should for the money/gold. but this definitely isn't a scam. blizz would have to have promised us something and then not delivered. think aliens: colonial marines. that game was a scam.

 Well, they promised  that after every expansion counting from KoFT we get a free single player content. Did you remember the adventures before standard came out? Same prize and same wings as dalaran heist but you would obtain ALL the cards printed for this adventure. So this remind me to the old adventures but shitty becauce you don't get useful cards, just random cards from packs and uselesss legendary. Come on, try to refute my post :D

If you'd like to talk about the GM tournament, how about we talk about it? Personally I'm looking forward to Muzzy VS Fr0zen for game 1. Two great players, Fr0zen always brings some interesting line ups and I am curious to see how he will approach the Specialist format. I can say the same for Viper and his first match against Thijs is a must watch imo.

Some other questions worth pondering: has Pavel still got it? Same for Amnesiac, seems to have faded a bit since Pavel's win. Also keen to see how StrifeCro does. I always like the stuff he puts together on YT, super grindy value decks. Hope he can get some decent results.

Most importantly for me is how entertaining the Specialst format is to watch. I have my reservations but I'm willing to give it a chance.

 

 Yeah i'm looking forward to this tournament just because a lot of my favourite streamers are playing on it! I wanna see Rdu, Zalae, Firebat, Strifecro and Kolento perfomance so bad :)

The likelyhood for this to happen increases as well, since they can now use a lot of classic cards to build a basic deck, which could be even playable in standard given a few additions from current expansions. 

The main downside from my point of view is probably the reaction of players, who did spend a lot of money over the years to keep a full collection, which is a group I belong to as well. It is easy to imagine that some of those people will feel bad about a major strategy change like this. Personally, I would argue that HS needs new players in order to get the attention from Blizzard it deserves in the future. Further, I played HS for the last years with every card available so the value I got out of it is undeniable for me.

I could go on about potential advantages I see in such a change but I would rather like to hear how the community would feel about a change like this because I have only my own point of view based on certain assumptions, which might be incorrect or flawed. 

EDIT: A lot of people have commented that Blizzard would make less money this way. I don't think this is necessarily true though. As written above my major assumption is that nearly everyone who was going to buy wild packs or old adventures already did so. That means the remaining amount of revenue they can generate from it is limited when compared to the unlimited abillity to create and sell new expansions. Therefore, expanding their customer base by giving away stuff they sell in very small quantities might proof to be a good strategy to increase future revenues and profits. 

I am going to mention one technical limitation though: I don't know whether their accounting department would have to show a move like this on their balance sheet and income statement. If they have intangible assets in their balance sheet, which are based on HS, it is possible that part of those would become impaired and therefore written of as a consequence, what would in turn show on their income statement. Unfortunatly my IFRS and GAP knowledge is a little rusty and I am not familiar with accounting practises in f2p environments so if someone does i'd be really interested to hear about it. It is possible as well that they have to account for packs or cards given out for free as marketing expenses. If they have to do this at face value this could to proof to be extremely expensive for them.

Do you really think the balance team doesn't know what cards are problematic, and what to do to balance the game? OF COURSE THEY DO, but listen me closely now. They are unable to fix the problem because of the MONEY, REAL MONEY that players have invested buying bundles and packs. What do you think would happen if suddenly players that have crafted rogue and warrior decks encounter a wave of nerfs?? OMG  raiding party, mira's, miscreant, dr 7, omega devastator have been obliterated, what do i do??? MY DECK IS USELESS. FU BLIZZARD, GIVE MY MONEY BACK. That's exactly what would happen. That's the reason nerfs come months after the issue is discovered...
