Given the power level these days, they should buff Wilfred Fizzlebang by reducing its stats and cost to 3 or 4 mana so it can have an early impact on the board and get opponent's attention to remove it... There is rarely any impact to play it on turn 6 and afterwards..
Overheal requires you to have a board. Priest isn't great at that. And even if you manage to get a board one answer from your opponent and you are sunk because you don't have refill like mechs/elementals/murlocs.
It is just a terrible archetype in general. Far lacking in power to other classes ability to play board centric decks.
And even in some crazy future scenario where they print enough busted shit to make it viable (highly unlikely) who wants to play priest to play that style anyway??
I agree with it actually. Just like they were pushing for Enraged/Midrange Warrior, it was a good archetype, but most people still prefer playing Control/Aggro Warrior over Enraged Warrior at any time..
The Jailer now becomes pretty bad for the big cost of destroying the entire deck... maybe increase his stats too or give him additional effects: Lifesteal, Reborn, etc.. or even Immune from other non-target AoE spells.
I'm completely underwhelmed with these cards. I don't think any of them are worth playing.
I'm totally out on overheal as well. They are doing Priest dirty by my eye.
These new archetypes including Overheal mechanics might take off with the next Standard rotation in Apr 2024. As for now, Control Priest still has the strong existing Control tools that can help Priest survive until then, these tools overshadow all the new Priest tools.
The new Yogg is entirely the sole problem with most Wild decks today. 3 of the 4 highest performing classes in the format (Druid, Rogue and Hunter) have Yogg as their linchpin.
The card should at LEAST be changed to a base cost of 20, if not 25. Also, Renathal should give 40 health again, but that's a different matter.
We know Yogg will certainly at least have changes since it impacts Standard too. We just don't know when since they focus on new expansion promotion... (we might have to wait for 2-4 weeks...)
Renathal might have a chance to revert that 40 health nerf with the upcoming Standard rotation in April 2024, when MLK rotates to Wild...
Theres also an extra row of Legendary cards, that only the "Excavation Classes" have access...I guess the excavation classes are going to be 5 classes that have one Excavation card each. And those are probably going to be more "Treasure like", or you know, a bigger rock.
All classes have access to Excavate mechanics, but only Death Knight, Mage, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior have access to the Tier-4 legendary Excavate cards.
It happened in 2020 when the Summer expansion (Scholomance) was released in early Aug and the Fall/Winter expansion (Darkmoon Faire) was released in mid Nov, but the Spring expansion (Forged in Barrens) was released in March 30 with the new year and standard rotation. Basically, the Fall/Winter expansion will have 1-2 weeks longer and the Summer expansion has 1-2 weeks shorter.
Five classes are working with the Bloodrock Mining Company: Death Knight, Mage, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior. These expert miners are able to get even deeper in their Excavations. Each of these classes has a class-specific 4-mana Legendary Excavate Treasure that they get when they Excavate for the fourth time. Eureka!
Ofc they would give more Excavate Treasures and the Excavate Legendary to Rogue... I have a bad feeling about something broken coming up, most likely in Wild with Miracle Rogue...
Still 3 expansions per year, it is just one of those years that the 3rd expansion comes earlier than usual. Like in 2020 when Madness of the Darkmoon Faire came out in mid November.

I remember non-target AOE spells like Twisting Nether or Shadow Word: Ruin can still destroy Immune minions.

Savagery is no longer being powercreep by Rake

Points for the creativity, too bad fun cards cannot be good...

Nvm, I thought Quickdraw cards might be just cheap spells but they are probably not, given what we have revealed so far..

Seems like a card that Miracle or spell-focused decks (Rogue, Druid, Mage) like to abuse...

Additionally, the presence of Mini-set cycles (which we did not have in 2020 and before) make it feel like the gap between expansion cycles smaller.
