For some reason I'm just getting that feeling of a card that everyone thinks will be good but ends up not seeing competitive play.
Will depend on the meta of course (better in an aggro meta) and the rest of the card set (especially what other 2-drops they print) but in isolation right now I'd say it's almost certainly not going to squeeze out Keleseth for the 2-drop slot. Exception may be Genn decks, obviously!
This seems like such a long time to wait! However, was listening to the Value Town podcast this morning and apparently the two big reveal streams are timed to coincide with big Artifact events.... Highly doubt that's down to luck!
Some of the card art looks great though, looking forward to seeing more.
Managed to get back on but lost my first game due to repeated disconnect issues (turns out it's a bad idea to skip the first two turns against an odd paladin)... Was playing on mobile so could be a coincidence but seems highly suspicious!
Really interesting card, with definite potential to be extremely powerful.
Agree with some of the comments here that it is highly vulnerable to silence, but people said that about the Magnetic keyword and look what happened there - we had a couple of weeks where silence was everywhere and then it completely dropped out of a lot of decks. We certainly didn't end up with the 'silence meta' a lot of people were predicting.
I think the problem with this card is going to be draw. The downside is so big that unless you have a ton of draw in hand, it's going to put you so far behind on tempo that you'll never catch up. If priest can find a relatively consistent draw engine though, this could be bonkers.
Interesting card, clearly Team 5 is pushing handbuff warlock now... Question is, how many buffs do you need to get on this to make it worth 8 mana? Even with just +1/+1 it would be 14/14 of stats for 8 mana, but your board would be extremely vulnerable to even weak board clears. At +2/+2 you're out of range of most clears so it starts to look more powerful, although still vulnerable to Hellfire, Hagatha the Witch, Reckless Flurry (assuming odd warrior hero power), Flamestrike etc.
If you compare this to Dragoncaller Alanna you can see that it's by no means certain to make an impact on the meta (since that never really did), although with enough support it could definitely be playable.
Handbuff never really worked in the past, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say it won't work for Warlock either. Even with synergistic cards like Omega Agent, Soul Infusion etc.
Of course, warlock does have draw in its favour so it will be easier to consistently have a target in hand. So maybe it could work with enough support in this set? I doubt it though.
Before Boomsday came out I probably would have rated this as 'bad'. But having seen what Supercollider can do, I think we have to take this weapon seriously. Will probably depend a lot on the specific Meta: if 2- or 3-health minions are ruling the roost (i.e. zoo/token type meta), then this will be bonkers. But if midrange returns (yeah, right) and 4-drops are king then this will be much less effective.
Very difficult card to rate this early in the expansion, as it clearly needs support to push it over the edge - and it remains to be seen whether that will happen in this set or not. But considering some of the synergies that are out there - Lynessa Sunsorrow, Spikeridged Steed, Sound the Bells!, Prismatic Lens etc., there's definitely potential.
Another classic example though of a card that would be SO much better if it had taunt! Following in the footsteps of Countess Ashmore, Blackhowl Gunspire and many more...
I think the current ratings for this card are probably a bit over the top - at least in constructed anyway. I suspect it will we too hard to keep the thing alive to actually get more than 1 token out of it.
Interesting card though, with interesting flavour and excellent art. Good start to the reveal season.
I like the central art for this cardback but the ones with thick brown borders always irritate me. A lot of the time almost all you can see of the cards is the border so when they're brown it usually makes the cardback ugly to actually use.
Lemonade definitely still cardback of the year for me.
Totally agree with this. My thinking was a minion-based effect along the lines of "your other minions' aura effects do not apply to your opponent". I worry that the design team would view that as too complicated for newer players though, so I doubt it would actually happen.

Yep, +1
Been trying for about 10 minutes now with no luck. Seems to be well and truly down...

This card kind of terrifies me, frankly! Can't wait to see what absolutely busted combos people come up with for this.

If it is a heavy pirate expansion, it will take some very careful designing to stop Golakka Crawler turning into a real problem.
Along the lines of: did you have it on turn 2? You did? Well done, you won!
