I've done every one except Uther, does anyone have any advice? I'm afraid the nerf will make it much harder.
Murloc aggro seems to be the consensus, but I can't get past all my minions going to his side. Anything special that "needs" to happen during the match (a specific rng roll or something)? Just get lucky with killer opener into Megasaur/Warleader? Anyone experiment with Enhanc-o-Mechano?
If you have some advice and/or want to spectate me while I try it out, add me, battle tag under avatar.
Btw, I've done all of them with my own decks, so if there is some magic deck or a good video to watch, that would be helpful too. :)
I used the Young Dragonhawk deck to beat paladin. Took maybe 10 attempts max? Nowhere near the worst one for me (looking at you, Shaman) so I would recommend giving it a go!
Author's note: just realised I put Twilight Summoner in the write-up instead of Twilight Elder! Oops... Will change it as soon as I get a chance, but the editor isn't working for me right now unfortunately!
Love the deck! Didn't have everything so made some tweaks (flappy bird being main one) but the cards that really won it for me are all in here. Took a LOT of restarts to get the right opening hand, but once I got that it was only a couple of tries before the win.
Thanks OP for the inspiration and kiwinbacon for the video!
Lots of negativity here! I personally think people should be able to be both happy for the OP on what is clearly an exciting achievement for them, and simultaneously annoyed that the game has been allowed to get into a situation where certain decks are dominating on ladder.
Be angry with the game designers, fair enough. No need to dump on the player though.
I agree that the overall reward level feels fairly disappointing for a casual player who would generally prefer free packs or cards to cosmetic benefits. A free hero card for EVERY victory seems waaaay too much though, I'd say a free DK card (non-duplicate) after all 9 wins would be a more compelling reward.
The comparison to keep in mind is how long would you have to play F2P to get enough gold to buy enough packs to get a legendary. If you average 50 gold per day (very achievable for most) and spent it all on packs, on average it would take 40 days to get a legendary. I'd expect most players with a relatively mature card collection, even F2P, should be able to get the 9 wins within 40 days of playing. So if you're asking for a DK each time, you're asking for this fight to be on average 9 times higher rewarding than general play...
I do think the game could be a bit more generous, but that's probably too far.
Enjoyed this fight - initially failed with a regular secret mage build (didn't know about the multiple phases so didn't have enough late game) but then crushed him with a big C'thun druid. Not every day you get to drop a 5 mana 21/21 !!
Agree with a lot of the comments here that the artwork looks off given what we've seen so far, so could be fake.
However, if it is real, my money's on the new HP being deal damage + freeze a character. The amount of damage done will determine whether it's playable or not - 3 damage = strong, 1 damage = trash.
As a relatively new player my collection is still pretty patchy - only one copy each of jade claws and jade lightning for example - so I was trying to run a pure elemental shaman deck. Occasionally it worked out when I got perfect curve draw, but most of the time I just got stomped.
But with 2x jade spirit I've now dropped a few of the crummy cards from the deck and replaced them with a smattering of jade - and my win rate has shot up!
Sure it won't be long before the meta adjusts and I start getting stomped again ;)

Thanks for the deck OP - had to tweak a bit to match my collection but still lots of fun!

Edit: now fixed :)

As others have said, murlocs all the way for rogue - very achievable, even without warleaders.
Mage can be done either with the lackey/counterspell or lackey/mana bind cheat, or just with a flappy bird snowball and a LOT of RNG luck!

Mage took a LONG time, but shaman was definitely the hardest - don't have any warleaders so it felt like a lifetime of restarts...
Saved hunter until last as it's my favourite class and I suspected it would be easy... Got it first time within 3 minutes of getting shaman!
Most are completely RNG based though, with obvious exception of priest and possibly warrior.

I'm a big fan of this change, personally.
