Doesn't seem to work for me. Getting 18 in theme cards doesn't seem to work. Some classes got some amazing standalone cards for sure. But I only see 5 mech choices in a deck. And not all of them are that great. Spare parts are useful, but they only synergize with 4 or 5 cards that I can think of. More cards of different types means it's harder to synergize. From how my options have been anyway.

Just before this set I had 4 Webspinners, an Undertaker, 2 UtH, 2 Hyenas and a bunch of other cards along those lines. That was particularly lucky, but not the first time.

I have seen some manage it, but it seems a lot harder to manage themes with the influx of cards. I used to sometimes (though it wasn't easy) be able to get enough beasts for hunter, deathrattles for Undertaker and demons for Warlock etc. I can't manage it at all anymore. Even mechs aren't that reliable. I used to avoid the card value charts and did pretty well because I know how to build a deck, but It seems at that point where it's now almost entirely card value and curve.

Priest seems to still have the health and heal synergy. That's all I see.

This isn't really a complaint, more an observation. Just curious if anyone else has had any luck drafting a theme/synergy. It could just be me.

That's fine that you feel that way. For me it's a game, and the achievement is making a great play in a deck I actually made. Not a title. That commitment might be for you, but it isn't for everyone, or even the majority. Finding a balance between top tier players, those who want to be, and then the 80% of other players is necessary. They are struggling with that right now.

then only relevant distinction isn't between the pros and the majority but between those that buy and those that dont. im pretty sure that the buying players dont have a problem with what is being discussed here.

You need to keep the majority playing FOR those paying a lot. If the player base drops too low, the game falls apart. Those paying more are kinda hiring those that don't pay. This partially applies to new players as well.

I used to love Hunter for Arena, but I'm finding the same thing to be true now. You can't get beasts like before. I think reaching 5 with Hunter is a miracle now. It's either 7+ or 2-3. It really might be the worst arena class now.

I'm not here to say skill isn't a factor, but if you don't have the legendaries you are forced to play Zoo or aggro Hunter to be competitive if that's what you want. And if you don't want to be competitive (which I don't care about) then you either hover at ranks 14-16 or play casual. If you want to try control or mid-range without having many legendaries, you are going to get legend stomped. It is frustrating not having many other options. I just play Arena for that reason.

I want to build a deck (which I am pretty good at) and play some other people that just built a deck for fun, with a similar card pool. I'll gladly leave higher ranked play to those that want a different experience.

You can't not see this... You must be joking. You think it's boring to spend half an hour conceding matches? Whoda thunk it? Did you also only use Zoo or hunter for faster/more-efficient games?

Not that the deck isn't good, but I don't think it's really a Daemon deck with only 6 Daemons.

I don't think that's how they are actually intended. That's how pay to own/play games work. The whole purpose of F2P games is the payment ladder. In this one, time is a commodity.

If so than that must have been a glitch. There doesn't seem to be a reason it wouldn't work.

Been playing like 5 months, $25 on Naxx. I don't expect to pay any more until they release another set in that same format.

If you have the money, Ipads are pretty great. They are extremely reliable, have a huge library of software available and almost no compatibility issues to other Ipads. (If something works on one ipad it will work on the next one.)

You pay a ton more for it though. If you want to fiddle with a device and don't mind troubleshooting it when issues happen, it is not for you.
