Agreed. Even when druids are oppressive I tend to brush it off and carry on to the next game, but now with this card that costs 6, mills 5-15 cards, and places an 8/8 body on the board it just makes me hate hearthstone and the company altogether.
When tickatus was announced, that was the first card I said oh that one's getting nerfed in a week tops.
That was what.. four months ago? Warlock decks can be decent enough without destroying your opponent's deck. Not just win condition.. DECK! How is that even fun for the player? Are they compensating for something in real life?
I've contemplated quitting the game until the card is nerfed to be honest.
I started playing around the time Ungoro was standard. I would rather be able to purchase a bundle that includes only the first xpansions I'm missing.
Honestly, I think blizzard should provide more flexibility when it comes to pack choices even when it comes to pack rewards from ladder. I'd rather get Mean Streets packs for instance from standard ladder rather than packs for an expansion that I don't need cards from.
Well, if you're a standard player then you won't have to suffer much longer. I've been playing priest lately with a strategy to mulligan for weapon removal and Madame lazul or thoughtsteel just to get my own wrenchcalibur too.
Other than that once I no longer have to worry about their board impact, I just keep my hand full with galakrond, play 1 card and hero power. They just end up conceding... But it's quite fun to watch.
With that said, there are enough techs to counter weapons, just getting lucky enough to get them in your mulligan is your point.
PS. Never managed to get zephrus in my mulligan when playing bomb warriors.. ever.. so the card is dead to me. :P
Personally, I've been enjoying a Highlander Dragon Priest variation. One of the fun parts about Priest is the fact that you can change cards around as you see fit so I feel it works better overall while maintaining the fun factor.
Questing adventurer is not as easy to pull off as you might thing though. Personally I don't think rogue is one of the classes to be concerned about seeing that many classes have much much stronger plays and counters now.
What's that new 2 cost paladin minion that copies highest attack and health? Priest have tons of steals and shadow words, and the list goes on.
I hear ya tho. If you had no answer to that it must have been quite frustrating.
Quite a good summary of the current situation. I must say, while I enjoy changing/evolving metas, I do not enjoy oppression combos as it sucks the fun out of the game. 45% of games I play are against druids at the moment and for the most part you're quite done by turn 5 or so.
I'm not happy with the state of hearthstone right now so I've decided to stop playing ladder at 3 Diamond as I refuse to get myself frustrated for two hours everyday playing druids. However, I am enjoying creating new weird decks and playing with friends to try weird stuff.
The fact that we don't get golden cards is disappointing. The new system might cater to players collecting cards, but there is no duplicate protection there either as I got three similar copies.
Same with the packs. Why not make it optional to choose which expansion you're getting your packs from. I, for one, wouldn't mind getting some wild expansions for instance. People who just joined the game most likely want rise of shadows and uldum expansion packs.
That minion will only be able to hit the hero. The idea is to use it on either:
1. A big damage card that you want to protect your minions from and willing to take the damage.
2. Also means that if you have a 0/1
taunt
on the board on your side and the enemy has, say, Lich King on board, they won't be able to attack neither you nor the minion until the opponent finds a way to get rid of the
taunt
minion.
3. Also means that if you cast it on, say,
Shadow Ascendant
, and you have minions on your side, it could potentially buff them as well. I find this the most fun cos then the opponent will either have to
silence
the minion or constantly try to clear your side before they get buffed.
