Started playing spell hunter as I was sick of facing them, turns out I wen’t undefeated from rank 2 3 stars to legend, beating 3 beast hunters (the dire mole deck), 2 big priests and 2 odd paladins, beat the living shit out of them all (very good job losing odd pala x spell hunter on rank 1 kappa). Can’t beat them, join them.

Personally I always though deathstalker rexxar was a little too powerful, however at the same time I felt it took away hunter’s proactivity in a way that they could usually be overun. What happened is that after that we were introduced to mechanics such as rush, allowing for rush + poisonous zombeasts that can usually be expensive but yet kinda dumb. However they were still slow and missed a win condition, untill blizzard brought doom upon our metagame. Doom comes in shape of a 10 mana hero card that completely obliterates the board with instantaneous effect to basically clock your opponent as you are likely killing anything that lacks or has already used their AoE removal. Both cards are strong but yet something you can manage to deal with when they are alone, now when put together they just become too much. It is like giving control warriors a way to freely push lethal out of nothing, filling the board with minions and traps for basically one card. They should either rework one or both so ladder is no longer 80% hunters. We currently see 3 hunter archetypes and all end up running both these cards (perhaps recruit wont run zuljin), it feels like they run totally different cards but they beat other decks all in the same way. They either outvalue anything through deathstalker rexxar or they push in lethal with strong tempo plays from either kathreena or zuljin.

Also I recently lost 2 games to this really dumb card that I dusted myself - the legendary lynx however it is called. Hunters had respectively 1 and 0 cards both times it happened, then they magically conjured a full hand of 1/1 rush cards (one of these situations they made 2 of them). Im not renting on this given the card itself is pretty bad, now I feel like it is a little too strong to conjure when out of cards. Having it as a 6 mana with stronger stats like a 5/4 perhaps, would make the card perhaps more interesting in constructed (also less situational) and also not as dumb on a 0 cards hunter who just got overun/outvalued that suddenly has a handful of proactive rush beasts that may easily be given extra attack or addapted with poisonous.

thats all ty for your time

posted a message on A solid counter to both taunt druid and odd paladin decks

    Introduction:

So I have come up with a strong and solid deck, that is both fun and friendly to play with. It consists on a variation of a control warrior that runs a lot of board clear and mechanics that deny most board-filling decks.  The idea behind this thread is sharing something I came up with that might help people out in the ladder.

    The deck

It is one rather expensive deck I must admit, however it is a highly solid build if you're just sick of losing to decks such as odd paladin and taunt druid, once it basically smashes both of them with little reliance on RNG or card draw.

You may find the deck >> Here <<

    Ideas + Playstyle

The idea behind it's playing is rather simple, you control the board with high AoE value and strong card draw. The 2 drop Cornered Sentry is the key to beating the taunt druid deck, once it summons 3 1/1 beasts that become rather easy to clear with all the 1 damage AoE mechanics, and add one RNG factor to the Witching Hour card, as each 1/1 counts as a beast making the druid card a 25% chance to get Hadronox if you played one, or a 14.28% chance if you played two. I have played atleast 30 games and I have a solid 100% winrate against the infamous taunt druids.

It has solid draw through Acolyte, Harrison and Shield Blocks, solid value through Lich King and Elise, and absurd amounts of board clear with Shield Slams, Executes, Brawls, Reckless Fury, Geddon, 1 damage AoEs and weapons. Usually you wind by outvaluing everything and just getting rid of all enemy minions, but sometimes it can get down to using Alex + Grom.
