posted a message on Inkeeper for mac users

Two days it goes. No replies from any of the admin. It's not that I do not want to help, but they do not want to help themselves. That basically tells us two things:

    1) They do not care about Mac users. Do not expect them to develop any Mac versions of the innkeeper in any near future.

    2) They do not want to develop the Mac version of it.

Comment below, so I will try answering most of them asap.

Why are there people so fucking greedy about dungeon run. Free run, and obviously, you won't get much reward out of it. But there are always some cunts that complain about not getting rewards, not having enough golds for f2p players. Seriously, fuck off. Learn how to play proper arena to get decent returns you chippy fuckers. Let alone the rest of us to enjoy and have fun in the dungeon runs, no need for anymore of y'all greedy fuckers out there speaking no more.

I'm not saying that those people are right, but I have an idea of why this is. In my view, the 'enjoyment' that people get from Hearthstone, is exclusively derived from grinding (winning games and completing dailies) for rewards (gold, dust, cards, golden heroes, maybe even just ladder rank). Making grindy games is what Blizzard does best, after all. That's not a negative comment; I love grinding in Diablo and WoW, for example.
When it comes to Hearthstone, I think Tavern Brawl is the best example of the grind mentality. When it launched I certainly was curious and excited about it and willing to try it out a lot, but soon I realized it rewards nothing beyond a free pack for the first win (and completion of dailies that I don't want to do on ladder), it had to be an exceptionally good brawl (like the 'pick 2' one) to get me to play it beyond the one-win-free-pack.
I guess some people out there still enjoy playing Hearthstone just for the heck of it. However, I believe the grinders vastly outnumber them, and you'll certainly not find a lot of them in the friggin' salt thread.
So maybe a game mode that rewards nothing beyond the enjoyment of playing it is exactly what the game needs. Maybe it'll be a fucking joke in the pool of toxicity that is Grindstone. I don't know (but I guess you can tell how I feel about it). We'll see.
Well don't play as a grinder, I just don't get it. Play it for fun.

Yeah, having the mac client would be great. I ended up installing inkeeper on a windows computer I don't use and will update my collection over there every few weeks or so, but it's annoying having to download all the 234623575364 updates blizzard releases every 3 seconds all at once every time I do it.

I understand. I will try my best to help solve the problem asap.

Yeah, little to no chance it's gonna happen, unfortunately. I'm not too fussed, since I just have it and HS installed in one of the virtual machines I use for work, but having a native version would be cool.

Probably could make it run in a Wineskin (got some xp in porting games through it), but doubt it'll be able to communicate with Mac HS this way.

I tried running it on wineskin, it does not seem to work. Virtual machine or other deck trackers (e.g HSTracker) will be an ideal solution for mac users for now. I am still waiting for the reply, and see what I can do for the community.

It's never gonna happen. The HP team are too lazy to recode the whole application. They said so in a mod post once.

Us mac users are out in the cold as usual.

I'll try to pursuade them as much as I can.

     Dear Freddie,

I know there were a lot of people stating the issue of innkeeper not releasing for mac in any near future. As I am also a Mac user, I am willing to contribute and help to develop the innkeeper for OSX also. I sincerely hope you would allow to help and resolve the feud between the mac users and the community. Thanks.

    Regards,

    Skipperino Kripperino

I've just sent this to the Hearthpwn admin and willing to help resolve the issue for the Mac users. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Oh I see. Well, I might see a better solution is that blizzard imposing the idea of winning stacking up rewards, but losing a game to lose some rewards.

Card back does not seem to matter to me at all. I'm more interested on the new game mode, almost like an arena game that I can play regularly for free and get my golden hero skins. Seems like a great deal to me.
