    Quote from Infirc >>

Been playing a ton of secret mage lately just to get the Dream of  going first and opening with Kabal Lackey+Counterspell to counter the opponent's quest, i've countered my fair share of Crystal Core but never managed to counter any first turn  quest .

so has anyone gotten the dream yet?

I've never tried to counter it turn one due to coin. I have, however, countered the actual spell multiple times.

posted a message on So depressed with quest rogue

Quest rogue is not hard to beat. Quest rogues probably think secret mage, murloc paladin, and MR hunter are all OP.

If you played Quest rogue for a few matches you'd realize it isn't all that amazing. The deck you're playing is just a bad match-up.

The first run didn't go so swell. I'll post another shortly.

Went 1-3. second loss was to a druid with 6 health. Had bittertide up. With bittertide the board totaled 23 health Lots of 2-4 health minions. Volcano hit bittertide once and killed everything else. Absolutely bonkers. Third loss was to a priest that played 4 Free From Amber in a row.

I don't feel like they should. If they made it through a full two year rotation as is, I don't see why they would need to nerf them now.

Honestly, the deck isn't as terrible as I expected it to be.
That's because you were fortunate to get Shaman, which is a decent class. Imagine if the center class had been Warrior...
My best runs this arena season have been Warrior....lol

Sure, I'm game, and yes, I fully expect it to be gold thrown out the window.   Though it's gotta be better than the time I did a worst possible pick draft... how I got one win I'm not entirely sure with all them 3 mana 1/3s.

Honestly, the deck isn't as terrible as I expected it to be. Then I thought "Well you have a 1/3 chance to get a good card, and about 5 of the picks in draft, on average, are all terrible, or all good."

Well, here it is. Good luck me!

Definitely have to just spam click the middle and not look. It hurts seeing some of those cards go by.

Hello everyone, I thought of a neat little challenge for arena and was curious as to if anyone would like to try this out and see what kind of results you get. Obviously, this challenge is for fun, and only to be done if you're not worried about the 150g you're chancing throwing away for it.

The challenge is simple. You start an arena and pick everything in the center. Hero through all 30 picks. Post your deck and results at the end. I'm going to start one off here shortly.

    Who's in?

I would still prefer to play something like http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/840289-kripps-budget-hunter
Also, is your name "Johnny CR" in reference to Urban Rivals?

I know you enjoy playing mage, but if you're looking to rank up you may want to try hunter if your collection is small. Hunter decks are probably the cheapest to build and can get you to rank 10 with no epics/legendaries.

Or legend even, Toast did a f2p run this month with hunter on a brand new account and got legend with 67% winrate, 190ish games.
You can no doubt make legend with hunter, as it it extremely consistent and faster than most decks, but I didn't want to say legend if he just started playing. Legend would require him keeping up with the current meta, knowing mulligans, etc. That he likely doesn't keep up with ATM as he's learning the cards.

Both are pretty essencial, since you can copy the Pack with Shadow Visions

Shadow visions is to Priest as Primordial Glyph is to mages. They'll be around until they are nerfed or a rotation comes around (two years). Absolute must have.

Lyra is an amazing card and absolutely worth a priority slot in your "to craft" list. She brings too much to the table for essentially all priest decks now to not have her.

posted a message on Playing while drinking/drunk. Do you? What are your noticeable downfalls?
    Quote from Dahrug >>

I keep playing both modes. In most matches my performance is similar, but I usually stop playing around stuff, sometimes because I don't remember to and sometimes because I just want to gamble.

I have also done some terrible moves that I wouldn't have made sober, like forgeting that the opponent has a secret up or even that I had a secret which would totally change the way I should play my turn.

Actually, I'm about to try some drunk arena right now, wish me luck!

That was part of my original point. I have fun, but I forget to check the secrets before playin cards and give away big plays. I also forget to anticipate cards. E.G. turn 6 for a hunter playing highmane.
