posted a message on Core set buffs i'd like to see

I actually like a lot of these suggested changes. Nothing seems overpowered but a few classic cards might become playable.
There are too many core set cards that are just in no viable decks at all.

Yeah you need to play it. Cast for spells is like summon for minions. You have to carefully read what each individual card says.

    Quote from PetiteMouche >>

Why don't you play casual then, where is your integrity ? There's more to life than ranked modes. "winrated be damned" you said.

Of all the places where people could have a little more integrity, video games is the least of my concerns, it's the one place in the world where having no integrity is of no consequence.

Winning is more fun than losing, people win for fun not to frustrate you.

And if you made this post, it's not because you have more integrity than others, it's because you are losing with your allegedly fair decks and wish you'd win. But the moment you start winning with your deck, people will say you have no integrity and teach you how to raise your children.

These people are not cheating, they are not taking advantage of anyone, they are playing cards available to them. You are also free to concede against any deck you dislike, I do that sometimes, as you said rankfloor can help. And again, winrated be damned you said that too.

As for your archery story, tell me when was the last time you passed your turn when your opponent was AFK for a turn ? Yeah, right. Winning is more fun.

Take control of your own life, nobody forces you to endure spell mage if you don't want to, it's just a game. If the deck is indeed broken Blizzard will nerf it and that's the end of it, people with no integrity will suddently have integrity again and you will seek other children to educate, most likely children of hyper aggro or tickatus players.

Great post in both form and content. Agreed.

    Quote from Kogan >>

As far as im aware golden cards are a completely separate thing and do not count towards your 2 copys of a card.

And regarding unlimitedx question: Provided there is a common card in the pack you open which is almost guaranteed, yes thats how it would work.

Apparently i was wrong about everything so nevermind :D I was under the impression that it would work the same way as it does with legendarys.

Good idea and i completely agree with you but that will sadly not make it happen.
I really like to more creative brawls as well and would be happy to have one every week.
Don't think it will ever happen tho.

posted a message on Legends of Runeterra - discussion, analysis and first impressions

I really enjoyed playing it. The combination of being able to react to what the opponent is doing and it still not feeling that slow or clunky is really nice. I also really like the innovative attack/defense turn system, although i felt that for some decks it is way better to go first or second just because you want to attack specifically in round 3 or 4. The really low amount of RNG is also pleasant.
It is hard to say anything about balance between the different regions right now just off of playing for 4 days but since the game is not even out yet and they already said that there would be monthly balance patches this shouldn't really a concern right now.
I think i am going to play this quite a bit but it won't get me to stop playing Hearthstone just because it feels quite different and Hearthstone just feels more effortless when playing which is nice when you are not in a deep thinking kind of mood :D

I think you read the card wrong - It's after you play a secret not if you control one - still a good card but i wouldn't say better than duskbreaker.

posted a message on 3 Golden Legendaries. How are the odds?

When you have millions of people open many more millions of packs it is not at all unlikely for someone to have this kind of luck. In fact it would be weird if there was no one. The only thing unlikely is that it is exactly you. There is a name for this but i forget :D Congratz tho

It's a seperate Timer for each expansion - so you need to open 40 packs of ONE expansion for the pity timer to kick in.

Trump could use someone like you, you sure built up a wall of text very effectively.

Anyway, I've stated this once before, but Blizzard can't win no matter what they do. They launched a casual game which they also want to appeal to a core, competitive audience, and they don't work together.

A Casual game is perfectly fine to have not so regular updates and content releases because it's casual and player playing it this way don't actually keep up with the content if it comes out too regularly. If everything keeps changing casual players will leave because every time they log in everything is different, and when that happens, when there is no continuity, it loses the appeal.

On the other hand, the competitive, hyper engaged audience will play the game far too much, which means the current pace of releases is not enough, they "chew" through it very fast, and will continually feel bored and waiting for more.

It is literally impossible to appeal, they are polar opposites. Blizzard should pick one and go with it. It seems to me they already picked the casual side, which is the vast majority of the player base. They just want to keep some of the engaged part, but it will eventually come to a point where it is not possible.

     This.

Also i consider myself to be a fairly hardcore player most of the time but i find myself playing less the last month or so before each new expansion. But that still means i play the game alot for like 9 months of the year and still have fun with it. Of course i would like an expansion every two month but i see why that is not realistic.

    Quote from Phantom_Noway >>

Every 4 months an expansion should rotate, instead of 3 together once a year. The game will be always refreshed.

This i think might help a little bit because now there is a chance that a new expansion does not shake up the meta enough to keep it interesting for the coming month.
