Paradox is the best card ever designed or designable for Hearthstone. Can it discover itself? Can blizzard implement a card so broken that even they can’t nerf if?
This minus the Earthen Ring Farseer is actually a decent deck for Prince Taldaram, which can grab healing from the mistress, bake another demon into the death knight resurrection or double the Despicable Dreadlord effect, and occasionally double up The Lich King if it lives a turn. Surprising how often it came in handy against opponent openers like Primalfin Totem also.
This will, I think, be great. Each week there will be new metas and countermetas emerging around weird themes, and it'll actually encourage people to experiment and learn how to squeeze as much value out of cards as possible. Anything which gives players and streamers new challenges to do each week, and to actually play these things against people and not AI is a good thing.
Also good to see Blizzard dipping their toes into giving players options around the parameters for games, this will probably feed really well into whatever eventual tournament design options we get.
Arena, ladies and gentlemen. The answer is, and can only be, Arena. The drama! The thrill! All the cards, all at once. Feel them in your hand, wait for the moment, and relish the confusion as you dump plays they've never even considered before. Find synergies you didn't expect without waiting for the internet to do it for you.
