This card would be worse as a 3/4. It's kind of obvious when looking at the effect. The fact it is a 2/4 makes it completely broken because of all the steal options that only trigger against minions with 2 attack or below. In that case, Blizzard understating the minion isn't them "acknoledging how powerful it is", it is Blizzard making it more powerful than it should be. Making it 3/4 would be a nerf to it, a well-needed one at that.

Fluxflashor posted a message on Is it weird that i'm not that hyped about the expansion?Posted in: General DiscussionI'm generally pretty hyped when it comes to Hearthstone expansions but this one is a bit different in a few ways.
Frozen Throne
First, we're coming off Knights of the Frozen Throne which has amazing flavor; You really can't beat The Lich King. Once Blizzard puts him into the mix, everything else becomes irrelevant because they've exhausted the theme. Anything that was going to follow The Lich King and Death Knights had big shoes to fill.
I'm somewhat joking around for record's sake, though it should be noted Wrath was peak of WoW's popularity and The Lich King was kind of the "end" of WoW Lore when looking at the RTS games - everything after that was created in World of Warcraft and various books. Certainly not a topic to discuss in this thread, but it IS a valid point.
Reveal Period
This could just be because I've been lacking sleep and have been sick, but nothing so far has been absolutely disgustingly amazing. There's certainly some great cards that we're getting, and there's a ton of potential for so many of these varied cards, but for decks that I want to build, there's very few things that have appealed to me.
The card that so far strikes me as being the most fun one that I want to throw into things is Deck of Wonders. Other ones would be screwing around with To My Side! and making Dudeadin really work with a bunch of tools Paladin is getting. That's not even a handful of options (for me, others will certainly disagree) but back in Frozen Throne or Un'Goro even, we had 9 very different deck builds through both the Death Knights and Quests. Legendary Weapons haven't really done that as much, though maybe that's for the best as it does end up keeping the game cheaper ;)
That's not the say I think the expansion is garbage based on what we've seen so far. Like I said, there's a lot of different types of cards and because of this I think we've got some crazy potential for a lot of different decks, and hopefully that will last for quite some time during the expansion's duration.
End of Year Sets
They're.. not as as interesting. When you look at their value on paper, they cost the same amount as other sets but in a Standard point of view you get to play with the cards less. It would be nice if they were able to do something about this, maybe laying off dual legendaries for the set and not just adding an addition 9 to the neutral pool. I know they have their rarity distribution already set, but come on.
General Game Fatigue
Hearthstone is getting to be an older game now, though relatively new still when looking at the genre, and whether you like it or not, not a whole lot has changed. Dungeon Runs are an exciting new feature but it would be nice to see more. A good start would be to making things exciting again by actually doing real stuff between expansions and not just these little events that add a meh tavern brawl to the rotation.
They really need to figure out a way to change the game up. I review our traffic logs regularly and always by the time you're even just a month into a set, people stop caring and you start to see the posts to back that up. Their marketing department spends all this stupid money on the Hearthstone World Championship but honestly, who really cares about it? Invest those resources into the game itself and maybe we'd see more interesting stuff. If you need to meet your ad quota, you can always bring back guac boi.
And for fucks sake, could you add the damn Druid hero to the game? I don't care for Druid at all as a class in Hearthstone, but it's pathetic we still don't have an alternative to antler man and that it took this long to get the Warlock hero when Mage immediately had 3 out the door, though it was a piss poor implementation of Khadgar do maybe mages only have 2.5 heroes.
Cosmetic drops during the middle of sets would be wicked cool, especially if we could.... wait for it.... PLAY THE GAME TO EARN THEM? I get that you don't want to do alternate card art because it would be (paraphrasing) "confusing for players if two cards did the same thing", but some more heroes would be a good start and there's tons of other stuff you could do.
Add some lootboxes to the game to -Let us unlock golden cards more easily through playing. I think it would be interesting if they changed it so there were two types of Dust, one which would specifically be for upgrading regular cards to goldens so you could it to players without worrying about ruining "mah microtransactions". I love golden cards but I'm so sick of needing to spend $200 just to disenchant a bunch of cards to maybe flesh out a deck with them.
- More emotes.
- Let us unlock special effects for our emotes like you demoed with the Ahune and Ragnaros stuff during the summer. (Where was this stuff for Kobolds anyway?)
- More card backs.
- Achievements. Come on guys, every game has them, there'd be some cool stuff you could do with it. Show our achievement point score to our opponents.
In Conclusion
Okay kinda went off there at the end and don't really have a conclusion outside of me not being all that hyped but I think Dungeon Runs will be cool. End of rant. If something doesn't logically go together well, tough luck.

Trickycookie posted a message on New Shaman Card Reveal: Murmuring ElementalPosted in: NewsBrann is first of all a legendary, so you can only have one of them, while you can have two of these guys. If this guy had the same effect, then it would be completely broken. the stats dont matter when you're using this to combo with your other powerful battlecrys like Kalimos, Blazecaller, Aya, Jade cards (including jade claws) and even doppegangster and the DK which his technically considered a battle cry. This card is definitely useful in that regard, comparing its stats to a legendary minion is not a good way to judge cards. i mean brann usually stays on the board for one turn.

??????????????????
This card is legit the worst card, period. Not in the set, but in all of hearthstone. NO fucking minionless deck has ever been viable. This card is worse than purify in Kharazan. Did they learn nothing after having to get Brode to publicly apologize for the devs? What in the fucking fuck is this shit? I have 1500 hunter wins. I have not played a single game in another class since the release of wotog, I have been long anticipating a new archetype, this expansion was supposed to finally give us something that isn't smorc.
Well blizzard, you've done it. This card is actual proof that whoever is in charge of creating new hunter cards needs to fired.

So, I do a lot of the work you see on a day-to-day basis on the homepage and other content pages, but I'm not alone. There's too many people to name, but they know who they are.
We've got some great people on the backend who help keep the website running, help with datamining new patches, and build out new features.
We've got a serious kick-ass team of moderators who are invaluable during reveal season assisting with their continued moderation of the site, helping watch for new reveals, creating new threads, adding cards to the database, preparing images, updating card pages with relevant clarifications. These are some of the most amazing people I've ever worked with.
We will continue to bring you the best in spoiler content going forward. That's a promise I know I can make. I like to think we've done a lot of things to help flesh out exactly what reveal seasons have become through our hard work over numerous sets, and I can't wait to see what the future holds to make reveal periods even better.
Thank you for the love and continued support of HearthPwn; That goes to you, everyone who's upvoted the comment, and the rest of you peeps who love what we do. We love to hear the positive interactions you're having here on the site and not just the negative (though that's important to us too, more so when it is constructive!), so if anyone ever has anything they want to let us know, you can always drop us a line in the Site Feedback forum.
And yes, my sleep schedule is insanely fucked up right now thanks to the card reveal period. BUT ITS ALL WORTH IT IN THE END!!

machupichu18 posted a message on New Shaman Legendary - Grumble, WorldshakerPosted in: Card DiscussionSo... we have vanilla stats for 6 mana, a powerful effect that is really good in Elemental Shaman for getting the effects off again, not to mention it's a strictly better Youthful Brewmaster that affects everything. As well as that it has the elemental tag. Honestly this is kinda broken. To play this on 10 mana would be really awesome and even with only 1 or 2 minions on the field the value is insane. Definitely an auto-include in Elemental Shaman, might also be the final push it needed to make the deck extremely viable. Not only that but it might even see play in other Shaman decks too, I could see you getting a shitty Evolve with a bunch of cards that have powerful battlecries then playing Grumble to bounce them back to your hand so you can actually use them. Could also even combat that unlikely nightmare of Evolve into Doomsayer.
All and all I think this will be one of the best cards in the set, if not the best and I can see a lot of opportunities for Shaman next expansion with this card.

Eh, we'll see how the rest of the mechs and the Warrior legendary spell pans out. I think people are really underestimating this card.

Well to be fair, Gul'dan is 10 mana and Jaina is 9 mana. By the time you can play either one of those, You would have two or three turns with Dr. Boom.
Rexxar is an interesting argument. I will say that Rexxar's weakness is that you can't control what kind of beasts you create. There's been times when I used Rexxar and I get absolute garbage for a Zombeast, or the Zombeast is too expensive for me to use at the time. Dr. Boom's hero powers are all pretty useful and work with other warrior cards. Additionally, all mechs for the rest of the game are going to have Rush, which can be very strong over the course of the game if you have a mech-heavy deck. The main advantage Rexxar has over Dr.Boom is that he's 1 mana less, and does a nice AoE attack, but we haven't seen the rest of the mechs in this expansion, or even the Warrior legendary spell which is no doubt going to synergize with Boom.

Honestly, if a Warrior makes it to turn 7 with a decent amount of health and armor (which is completely doable) this card becomes an absolute nightmare to deal with. The card has synergy with Rush and Armor mechanics already present in the class. Once it makes it to turn 8, the ability to rush with magnetized mechs, and potential hero powers can swing a game to your advantage very quickly. It definitely doesn't have an instant swing effect like Anduin or Hagatha's battlecries, but the value Dr. Boom provides over the long term can be absolutely devastating if it isn't checked quickly, and that isn't always possible.
1
Basically your best bet is to rush them down early. Your odds of winning drop dramatically the longer the game goes on. Every Cubelock I've beaten I've done so before turn 8 or 9. If they get DK Gul'dan, you might as well concede.

Uh, I got Arfus, Valeera the Hollow, and Golden Lilian Voss in 3 packs....
Is that intentional?

I'm thinking about DEing Runespear. I can think of a few Epics I would rather have.
1
Depends on what legendary weapon I get, but I really want to try Spell Hunter, and Weapon Rogue.
I really hope I don't get Woecleaver or the Druid weapon.
1
Nice card! Surprised there's no overload effect.

With the DK, secrets, the spellstone, animal companion, call of the wild, to my side, weapon cards, etc. A spell Hunter deck just might work.....

I'm really in shock that they decided to buff dragon Priests this much in this expansion. It just makes no sense.
