    Around the time that you replied to this the rank distributions were as follows:

    • <5000: 62% of Players
    • [5000 - 5500: 18% of Players]
    • 5500: Top 20%
    • 6000: Top 10%
    • 6500: Top 3%
    • 7000: Top 1%
    • 8000: Top 0.1%
    • 8700: Top 0.01%

    So, 8k wasn't just "above average"; it was exceptionally higher than almost every other player, making the player 1 in a thousand.
