Again proof from tempostorm.com that the class is not competitive. The top Priest deck is Rank 8 and there are 8 classes, what does that tell you?

Nzoth priest is good against paladin, warrior and aggro shaman, which are the top 3 must common decks. I don't get it.
N'Zoth Priest is good against Paladin because he can steal Tirion but other than that, the Agro and Mid-Range decks eat Priest before he can even get a minion in play. Then tech in Doomsayers to answer faster decks. Are you still running Northshire Cleric? Decent number of pros have removed the 1 drop because it's too situational against a meta with 3 or more power.

Zoo is an aggro deck, always was, always will be. -

Thefish posted a message on (TOP500)LEGENDARY Faceless Einstein Shaman (STANDARD)Posted in: (TOP500)LEGENDARY Faceless Einstein Shaman (STANDARD)Honestly this deck is kinda weak. I've played other aggro shaman decks with much more success. In my honest opinion i would avoid this deck. You have little to no removal for taunts which there seems to be a plethora of now given how many people just run aggro decks. Also i don't think it takes an einstein to run this deck its pretty much an aggro face shaman. If you trade with it you will fall too far behind to larger drops and eventually lose. Thanks for sharing regardless.

You should post something like that on the "Blow Off Steam" topic. You have no idea how people would support you. -

I realize redundancy is key to making a Highlander deck as consistent as possible (especially for a class that doesn't have Life Tap ) but Holy Fire might be a bit much in company of Entomb, Lightbomb, Holy Nova, and the Shadow Words

GiantDwarf0 posted a message on A defense for PaladinPosted in: General DiscussionThe community likes to convince itself that this is a complex, strategic game. It really isn't - we're all playing checkers, not chess. I say this having successfully run decks accused of being "braindead" like mech and tempo mage, various aggro variants, etc. as well as more controlling or combo and allegedly thoughtful decks like pre-nerf Patron, Freeze Mage, and Control Priest.
Given the number of players, limited size of decks, and simple mechanics, there just are not novel plays being introduced in Hearthstone outside of the first few weeks after a given expansion. Sure, some thought goes into teching a deck as the meta varies; but what little complexity there really is in the game comes from dealing with RNG (card draw, etc.) and knowing your opponent's play book and trying to interrupt it or preempt / overwhelm it. I think most players would agree that their most satisfying moments in Hearthstone (aside from hilarious / awesome RNG) are making perfect anticipatory or reactive plays. I doubt many people get much satisfaction from just vomiting out cards on-curve, nor should they.
What isn't fun or satisfying and therefore pisses people off is when there simply are no adequate response plays to a given strategy. This is why the aggro flavor of the month always draws a few fresh nerf threads. It's also why people complained about pre-nerf Patron and still complain to varying extents about the Druid Combo, Freeze Mage, etc.
The problem with Paladin is that it has the greatest concentration of decks that put players into the "no fun / no adequate response" position unless Pally has atrocious draw.
Eboladin benefits from Divine Favor as a ridiculous mechanic to reload its hand after loading the board.
Anyfin was harmless until the deck was refined to only charge / buff Murlocs in about a week after its release. If you can't beat it by turn 10, just concede. Outside of CW's armor or a well-timed counterspell, there are virtually no responses to the OTK second Anyfin.
And then, of course, there's Secret Pally. Yes, if you have a board and AOE and BGH or other large minion removal, you can unwind it. Then, thanks to the magic of the deck thinning properties of one card playing five other cards, you are very likely dealing with either another MC, Dr. Boom, or Tirion on the next turn. There are a few decks that are set-up to do this (I have really enjoyed playing control priest against Secret Pally this season because it is stocked with answers for this exact series of plays); but if you don't run one of those few decks, you're basically left playing aggro to try to burn the Pally down before you get to the good doctors 6, 7, and 8. And of course, people love to complain about aggro, so it has a negative knock-on effect for the meta.
So, we have a set of three highly-tuned, relatively low "skill," high power, low opponent fun decks that also seem to get buffed a bit much with each expansion (note I exclude midrange Pally, which is a strong deck but more traditionally "interactive"). Combine that with a sea of dbags who think piloting these decks is an indication of their godlike skill and a valid reason for BMing, roping, etc., and you get an entire class that is singularly disliked by a large swath of the player population.
For what it's worth, I don't really hate Paladin, even Secret Pally, or any other class for that matter. Everyone takes the game entirely too seriously - outside of high legend and tournament play, this is more a kids' game than it is a real competitive pursuit (and even there, all due respect to players better than me, this is not Kasparov vs. Fischer). And, since games are supposed to be fun, it's no surprise that decks like all the Pally decks I've mentioned (as well as plenty of other decks that draw major salt - Mill, Freeze mage, combo druid, etc.) get hate.
TL;DR it's fully understandable why people don't like Pally in the current meta; but it's silly because this is just a game (unless you're one of the fraction of the community playing for a living).

ShadethX posted a message on Reno Jackson + DreadsteedPosted in: WarlockQuote from thedeathbeam >>If using Dreadsteads, I find that including one copy of Sense Demons usually helps for consistency.
Yes, Sense Demons can have big value in deck like this, and I wanted to put it in it just to secure the Reno a bit more, but I simply do not found any free spot for it, because all other cards in this deck have a lot more value and are more flexible than Sense Demons.Looking at your deck list, I would honestly replace Zombie Chow for it. Sure it feels good to drop that on turn 1, but only having 1 copy of it means that won't happen very often. Also, if you have Baron Rivendare down, then you won't want to play it, and it is usually not very good later in the game either. Just my thoughts on it. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

This player base is so goddamn pathetic... I should not be able to tell what famous streamers are playing if I don't watch Twitch, however, I always know because all the idiots play whatever the streamers play... Unoriginal, tribal little mofos that can't even create their own decks...
