I agree with Pumpkin that it's right as is...but I'll bother to explain why I think that.
It makes sense if playing a minion is the entire act of getting it from your hand into the playfield, and a battle cry is completed by the minion while it is being played. Or in other words, the battle cry is finished before the act of playing the minion is finished.
So while the Faceless is being played it becomes Mally, the end result is that the card that was played is now Mally. So Floop becomes a copy of that.
Like if you bought a white car then painted it blue and later said I'd like my new car to be the same color as the last car I owned -- you'd mean blue.
