Personally, I think pre-order skins, and card backs, should not be sold. If a game is going to have collectibles, make them collectible, don't just sell them. However, seeing as Blizzard are now selling preorder cardbacks, they will probably also start selling preorder skins.

It is Blizzard's tournament, they can exclude anyone they like, on any reasonable basis. I expect that Blizzard did investigate, evaluated the allegations and, like any reasonable person, found them to be extremely convincing. 

The claims of abuse were very credible and extremely disturbing, in my honest opinion. I am really disappointed that it took so long for Blizzard to act, but at least they did act in the end.

Personally, I would like to see Twitch look into this too. The idea that people still sub and donate to this guy turns my stomach, not least because he has not owned up to it, taken responsibility, and got help.

Very pleased to see Zalae suspended, after very credible allegations that he engaged in domestic abuse. 

A big part of the problem is the pre-release streams. Streamers find the decks and then people netdeck. If we all started from zero on release day, it would be much more fun. But, because of pre-release streams, players lose the fun of discovering the expansion. 

The only decks I have a problem with is Libram Paly: it's dominant (acc. to HSReplay) and not different enough from last season. Time for a change.

The reason Blizzard are making the artificial distinction is they don't want to give players cards, they want to loan them for the season (and remove them later). I.e. because they are greedy.

Do people really think that diamond cards means that Blizzard will move away from selling insanely over-priced cards, to a model based on selling cosmetics? If greedy Blizzard generates more revenue from diamond cards, they will just bank it, they won't return it to players.

If you want a CG with a fair business model, based on selling cosmetics, it already exists. It's called Legends of Runeterra.

You do realize that businesses have to make money, right? 

This is the kind of dumb attitude that lets greedy companies, like Blizzard, charge way over the odds for their products. Of course businesses need to make a profit, but consumers are also right to demand fair monetisation. 

Charging 2k Gold for the mini-set is a good move by Blizzard because, unlike the rest of the in-game economy, it's actually fair.

I like HS and LoR, but being able to play every deck I want (without spending a fortune) pushes me towards LoR.

Plus, they release new cards very regularly - it keeps things fresh (and not a problem for players, because the economy is so generous). 

My goal is to just enjoy the game, accepting it is very RNG-heavy, limiting my play time, and trying not to take it seriously. 

One thing we can be sure of: the "changes" will cost the players a small fortune. LUL
