Building a perfect ramp to 8 health for Defile is a ridiculous proposition, and if this ever did become a thing it would easily be countered.

I mean, it'll be a trolden play for sure, but no way it could ever be even remotely consistent.

So your opponent just stops playing cards and starts hitting you in the face with an 8/8. Not the best gameplan, IMO.

Only if there's a 1 health minion, 2 health minion, 3 health minion, 4 health minion, etc. in play.

Ok, so I see a lot of people pointing out that this is a worse Deadly Shot, which is fair enough and true.

Destroying your own minions is an upside if you're running eggs or other high value deathrattles. Destroying an egg to clear an enemy minion isn't so different from using Power Overwhelming to do the same, though obviously this costs a bit more. However it also has the potential to deal with much larger minions.

I don't think it's a great card, but it's not bad either. It's just kinda boring.

This is a fan-translation of the Chinese card text, isn't it?

Wouldn't it be easier and more efficient to just do the normal Exodia combo and use two Molten Reflections with Time Warp?

Sorcerer's Apprentice (2 mana), Sorcerer's Apprentice (2 mana), Molten Reflection (2 mana), Molten Reflection (1 mana), Time Warp (1 mana), end turn, Archmage Antonidas into infinite Fireballs.

Much easier and much more safe. I mean, you might still run Simulacrum in that deck to make putting the combo together easier, but I don't see it replacing Molten Reflection itself as an actual combo piece for the archetype.

Now, it would certainly be good if you're running Arcane Giant Quest Mage, and you'd still be running Molten Reflection. Though that version of the deck has to deal with taunt and doesn't have infinite damage potential.

Cool card, but its abilities don't really fit the Death Knight theme, nor the title of "Deathseer." Not that evolve has ever really fit the shaman class thematically.

It would be hard to mill your opponent after you shuffle all their non-mill cards into your own deck and you start drawing those instead of cards that force your opponent to overdraw.

It's a fun ability for sure, but bad for all the same reasons that Prince Melchazar is bad. Shuffling 15~20 random cards into your own deck is only going to make it harder for you to achieve whatever your deck's goal is. Unless your goal is to just play Archbishop Benedictus and make le epic meme, I mean.

Outside of long control matchups that can sustain well into fatigue I don't see much practical use for it. Still, I'm looking forward to seeing highlights of the innevitable infinite Archbishop vs Archbishop matchup where neither deck bothered to add any win conditions.

You can use Blood to Ichor (1 mana, will spawn two 2/2s) or Inner Rage (0 mana, will spawn one 2/2) as the initial activators before going off with one or two Whirlwind effects.

Obviously they'll never have the same potential as Grim Patron since you can only damage each ghoul one time, but at only 3 mana, you can still do minitature versions of Patron combos and you won't need Thaurissan for discounts to pull them off. It should still be fairly easy to buff a Frothing Berserker up to 11+ attack, to generate 11+ armor with an Armorsmith, or to draw 6 or 7 cards with Commanding Shout and Battle Rage.

Assuming of course that the meta allows for a Patron-style deck to exist in the first place.

I think the idea is probably to play it with Frothing Berserker. The comparison should be with Grim Patron.

It's obviously not as powerful as Patron, but it also costs 2 less mana, which makes some combos viable without Thaurissan. You can use it with Commanding Shout and Battle Rage to get a some card draw, or Commanding Shout and Armorsmith to generate armor.

It might not be good enough to bring back the Patron archetype, but there are some new tools too, like Blood to Ichor and Cornered Sentry, or even Sudden Genesis, which can generate additional minions to feed the combo more.

Could be too clunky, but it's worth exploring.

You can easily innervate a 1/3 out with mage. If they don't remove it immediately with a spell (which is unlikely) it will be a good tool, along with low cost removal spells, to keep your opponent's board locked down and stall the game until you can play more impactful control cards.

In the late game you can play it to lock down a big minion or weapon for a turn, and it then becomes something they have to deal with, saving some more damage. Sometimes that's all you'll need to stall for lethal. Throw in Coldwratih or maybe even a Shatter you pick up randomly and it can be a big swing for just a few mana.

I expect we'll see more cards that benefit from frozen minions, anyway.
