posted a message on What do you think is most poorly designed/balanced #stupidest card in current rotation?

You need to look at winrate as well as what the card does.  I don't understand how it's not Secret Passage in a runaway.  Rogue is once again at the top of the heap and yet again people are focused on other classes.  Rogue is the real class that gets favored by the team.

So we're actually being Salty about a Priest card when all Priest decks are in Tier 3?

Yet we're not screaming to high heavens about how unbalanced, stupid and ignorant "Secret Passage" is?  Or how broken once again the Rogue class is?  Or how Blizzard hall of fames Druid cards so they can REPRINT basically the same pathetic card?

I tend to think those are far worse despite their matchmaking system which if it were in a Casino would be illegal

Update.  I am currently 19-20k Legend in Americas with this deck and climbing.

166-109 which clocks in at 60% winrate now and I've just finished a 20-3 run over my last 23 games.  I believe the Frizz inclusion rounds this deck into a powerhouse.  There are some matchups that feel tougher than others but no matchup that feels like I have no chance and cannot win.  It can beat Tempo DH/Highlander DH, Rogues of all kinds if you hold your removal for the right times, Hunter is probably the worst matchup imo but it can still win. (31-27 against DH) (18-18 against Rogue)(12-6 against Hunter)

It houses Druid.  You have to draw badly to not have the removal for token Druid and it destroy Big Druid. (22-5 Against)

Highlander Mage/Spell Mage - It's a tougher matchup but unless their list is refined very well, this list beats it. (12-9 Against)

Warrior - All forms of Warrior fall to this deck. (12-2 Against)

Paladin - I've had little to no trouble with Paladin recently but Smorcy Murloc Paly can be problematic (7-7 Against)

Shaman - Totem Shaman can present a problem but it can still beat it and it handles the Evolve/Galakrond Shamans alot better than the Totem (12-10 Against)

Warlock - Galakrond Warlock is a + matchup but not by much.  Tougher matchup but it can still win (22-18 Against)

Still hoping this deck gets traction as it's very challenging with a high skill cap and super rewarding.  Hoping to climb into top 10k Legend soon with it.

posted a message on Legend doesn't feel that Legendary

There's a big problem with it being this easy and the ranking system.  Throughout when you enter Legend you are stuck playing people still on the ladder.  Therefore you gain minimal legend pts for winning and you lose more than you can gain.

Also that's why seeing the ranks is disabled right now because Blizzard knows that Gold/Plat players getting shafted playing Legend players is an issue.

So climbing in Legend is nearly impossible without and dumb winrate which shouldn't be the case.  I've been winning at almost a 60% clip and losing rank in Legend slowly which is hilarious and infuriating.

115-84 with this deck in the climb to Legend and several Legend games mixed in as well.  I have teched out Bone Wraith and am currently tinkering with a Frizz Kindleroot inclusion.  Perhaps this will get more traction now that it's reached Legend and has about 200 matches under it's belt.  58% Winrate is pretty strong, especially for a Highlander Priest deck.

posted a message on Rant on what needs to change in Hearthstone

There are things that can be done but the biggest one is isolate Legend by itself.  There's no reason that MMR should be ranking you against Gold/Platinum players.  It began as soon as I got into Legend.  It's also very obviously a problem because Blizzard disabled being able to see ranks for tiers below Legend.

For the cards or classes I mentioned I do not want classes destroyed.  But printing zero mana cards or extremely high power level aggro cards into the "Basic/Initiate" set for DH so they will never go away but not properly testing it out before release is an extremely horrid look.

The game has been going downhill for a couple years and people wanting to put on blinders or post funny comments in a forum instead of facing that and trying to push Blizzard to improve the game so that it bounces back is the point.  A new mode that isn't Tournament mode is pointless and just another effort to $ grab.  Battlegrounds was fun but then they paywalled it.  You buy the pass and you get 4 choices of hero.  You don't and you get 2 options.  You people that don't give us money are half as good is what that is saying.  Can't earn more perks through purchasing packs or anything else like was allowed the prior expansion.  Nope you just shove us money and when next xpac comes out.  You have to do it again.

Adventures should never cost money.  Why?  It's single player content that most people seem to have convienantly forgotten the promise Blizzard made to the community as a whole several years ago.  They went to three expansions a year and were going to include single player content in each xpac.  We won't double dip and try to charge you for the adventures.  The single player content will be free moving forward.

This was because the additional revenue from a third expansion a year would easily offset the Adventure being free.  These are the sorts of things that when gone back on, erode trust in the company.  Being quicker about nerfs and even buffs is terrific.  IF they are effective and the right cards.  Albatross's nerf did little, Kael's didn't do anything either.  Meanwhile a card like Warglaives which was previously a printed card named Fool's Bane.  This card remains untouched even though the reason Fool's Bane was never broken was because it couldn't go face.

I don't want cards nerfed into oblivion, I want their power level to be fair so all classes have a viable deck that is something other than smorcy aggro which is what Paladin has to lean on to even get a sniff.  Mage still tops out at bottom of tier 2 in the meta.  Warrior....lol good luck.

Actual upgrades and changes to the game and it's economy and rank system are needed.  Hamfisted MMR rankings that mean once you reach Legend you are stuck at the bottom because the MMR Algorhythm has decided you need to play certain ranks is obviously broken.  Because clearly if you were able to win enough to get to Legend in that month, Your MMR isn't equivilent to Top of Gold tier or bottom of Platinum tier.  (Currently what I am stuck playing against despite a 55% win percentage in Legend so far)

League of Legends and CS:GO and Minecraft would have a word with you.

The point of nerfs isn't to make decks unplayable.  DH nerfs have marginally at best slowed the class down, if at all.  My point at least with that class is the nerfs don't address the actual problems.

Battlefiend (Lower the power of the card to reasonable from OP)

Altruis - (Mana change does nothing with so many 0 mana cards and mana reduction in the class.)

Glaivebound Adept - (Changing attack from 7 to 6 isn't the issue.  It rarely ever makes it face and is just used for the 4 face damage.)

Frenzied Felwing - (Good nerf actually.  Makes it actually possible to counterplay against the card when it gets played early.)

Sac Pact (This is actually a change that should've been made for a long time.  It's clear by the cost of the card that it was never meant as an offensive removal)

Kael'Thas Sunstrider - (Moving it from 6 to 7 mana is useless.  The text needed to read Every third spell you cast each turn costs (1) versus (0) ).

Albatross (3 to 4 Mana)  Really not a big deal.  It still goes into most decks it was going into although perhaps more of a tech card now but it's still around.

My comments come from the frustration that the game has always had super potential but nerfs that feel "Superficial" versus substanative and a MMR/ranking system that is bonkers.

When people make it to Legend they want to play different decks from their climbing decks.  They want to tinker and throw crap against a wall.  Getting stuck playing Gold/Platinum/Diamond players means that it's constant high end meta decks and nothing else.

Also "No" on the Legend players being average so their rank drops.  How Legend rank works is that you lose more rank than you get even when you win more than 50%.  You also lose more "Rank" and gain less "Rank" when playing non Legend players as a Legend rank.  So the players that got to Legend early just need to maintain their rank with a win here and there and otherwise not play because rank does not deteriorate that fast.

There's a reason why many high legend players get to top 50 and then just hover for the rest of the month or play on other regions, waiting for the last day of the month to come to make the last ditch run to #1.

I'd prefer to see the game that I've played for years and took a break from because I wasn't enjoying it, not die.  I've started playing again but there are problems going on with it that you would find in a beta game that wasn't in full release (Rank system/MMR issues, etc).  How about ADDRESS the issue versus throwing one's hands up and saying let those of us that still play enjoy it.  It won't be here TO enjoy if some significant changes aren't made and the only way to get changes made is to cause enough stir that it gets noticed.

Small sidenote for example.  Hearthstone is currently sitting just two weeks after expansion release and new rotation year of cards.  14th on Twitch in viewership.  There was times for several years where it ALWAYS was sitting top 3 or top 5.  But please tell me how I or others are bad and not just are actually sounding the alarm that the game is in steep decline and without drastic changes, will go the way of Heroes of the Storm

Yes we should ignore the littany of high profile players that have flatout stopped playing the game, the downward trend in popularity as well as the continued "Sales" which typically indicates that an expansion isn't selling well.  Activision isn't going to give anything away to anyone unless they have to.  I'm in Legend rank friend, so clearly the "Bad at the game argument" falls on very deaf ears here.  Perhaps read the argument of what needs to change or offer constructive feedback.  Because your one line of attack as opposed to actually reading is useless.

Legend players lose more rank losing to people that arent ABOVE them in rank.  Therefore there is literally no way for a Legend rank player to climb unless we get queued against some players of higher rank.  Especially considering Hearthstone as a game is built and matchmade in such a way to not allow players to get more than a 52-55% winrate.  Sure you can get better than that but it isn't the average.

Warglaives is also a sore point for me considering it's "Fool's Bane" except the inability to attack heroes taken away which is why the weapon would've been OP and nerfable in Warrior had it been allowed to go face.  So any Legend rank other than the people that got there early in the month, have any chance to compete for top 10000 of Legend which is silly.  Legend is NOT meant to be just like the ladder.  It's meant to be a completely different meta where the best players on that region compete.

I've played 50 games at Legend so far in the last two days and played 4 Legend ranked players.  No Diamond players and a Majority of Platinum and Gold players.  There is NO way to gain Legend rank with those matchups.  I have a 50% Winrate at Legend while trying to theorycraft a Control Galakrond Warlock with Plot Twist/Betrug combo.  I've dumped almost 4k in Legend rank because the wins get you so much less than the losses lose you.

Also the logic that this effects a small group of the region and is something to dismiss is rediculous.

This game has been dying for a couple of years now.  It will continue and eventually go the way of Heroes of the Storm if something doesn't shift.

Nerfs - Ineffective or not enough nerfs are a waste of time for players.  Demon Hunter was introduced to the game and clearly was not play-tested.  Nobody can possibly pitch it was considering 6 cards have had to be nerfed in the first two weeks after it's introduction.  Nerfs to decks like

    Demon Hunter (Ineffective)

    Token Druid (Ineffective)

    Res Priest (Ineffective)(Albatross nerf)

If you are going to introduce nerfs they need to actually make an impact or just don't do them.  Just to "Act" like something is being done is not helpful.

Ranking System - This is an utter joke if we're being candid.  The star multiplier has made it so 4-6x people are making Legend.  Basically making Legend rank not special.  Which was the "Concern" when rank floors were introduced but this new ranking system has done it.

Legend - This rank is an absolute clown fiesta.  The new MMR system has Legend players unable to actually....PLAY OTHER LEGEND PLAYERS.  Legend ranks are stuck playing Gold and Platinum rank players.  This is why Blizzard has disabled being able to see opponent's ranks when climbing the ladder to Legend.  So we aren't seeing that we are getting shafted by being stuck playing Legend rank players at Gold, Platinum and Diamond.  Legend should be it's "Own" segment of the ladder and why it isn't is beyond me.

Persistence/Inconsistent cards - Frizz Kindleroot and The Dark Portal as examples.  Their mana buffs do NOT persist if Plot Twisted back into the deck which is not what the card says.  It says they get a reduction in mana.  Not that it will go away if the card is shuffled back into the deck, etc.  So it "Should" work.  Also Warglaives is broken with Demon Hunter where if you have 6 mana and equip the weapon.  Attack 4 times and THEN hero power.  You can attack five times with your hero.
