Hey guys, nice work so far, looks pretty cool. A few questions, what is Contact and where is it applied? How does Alpine Rider work, does it shuffle back into the deck once it's played? Also, how did you design the keyword explanations?

All you guys saying that this could work in a Warlock deck are silly. Like come on, Warlocks have stuff like Flame Imp, Voidwalker and Doomguard. There's no way this would fit in any type of Warlock deck! Even if more Giants come out, unless they become a Race with synergy, this card is useless. #GimmickDecks #SelfMill #MountainGiantSucks #WillNeverSeePlay #IAmAFarseer

How about stuff like Imp and Whelp with so many variants?

Also with Hero version of Ragnaros and Baron Geddon vs minion version of them.

Good morning (2pm is my morning xaxa :P), here r some other notes on your cards:

@PupleMD - Grandmaster Imus: i think the first one is way to complex for the game, but the second one seems realy fun, maybe weak stats for 8 mana? could be 7 mana (even tho that seemingly nerf it as well :D) or buffed stats.

@Roefl - Aseisa: im usually very opposed to overbuffed low cost minions, but this actually seems cool.

@FirebugRM - Fat Mechant: cool idea, but u rly need to up the stats for this card to be playable. At least 3 or 4 attack.

@xSakasa - Zaeralia: seems pretty powerful, but slow, might be good.

@DialM4Murloc - Caledra: lol :D that seems OP as F, but at the same time realy weak. The fact, that u can choose your hero power every turn differently, makes it quite versitale and powerful, but stats r rly shit (well they have to be), so it might die fast. What would happen when this die? would u be stuck with last picked hero power?

@nobravery - Akadina: seems OP, but i actually dont think it is, it would be like harder to set up KT or at least thats how it seems to me. BTW seriously cool art, nice find, do u have name of the artist or link to wherever u found it ?:)

@superoutman - King Bagurgle: hh no, just no no no :D never :P (2x shadowspet to burn 12 cards? add bremasters to burn entire deck? hahaha)

@varolie - Duel Master: seems kinda weak, mby if we get more joust minions, that can curve out one after another in some consistent deck, but i dont know.

@maydaypayday - Glythien: sooooooooooo complicated, too much text, too much stuff happening on one card, choose just one thing and focus on that.

    @kaotikkreature - Salazar: seems ok

@TSMS - Dragon concept: free 8/8 is never ok :D way OP; Troll Concept: cool idea, but im not sure it would work as u inted it to within game mechanics.

@nocturnalypso - Regina: cool concept if u want to make deck around overload that is actually benefitial to u, otherwise its very bad card, cause in normal scenario i dont think overloading yourself even more is worth overloading your opponent by little.

So i took some advice from what u guys said and i took the HP from 12 to 10, i still feel like 8 is rly not enought to realisticly survive into next turn without any hard removal or realy big trades from your opponents side.

My main problem is, if i should let it count enemy mechs as well or just friendly? I dont want it to be too OP, but it could be cool "counter" to mech decks even in non-mech deck :)

So which one do u like better?

    or

    Surprise:

When i opened hearthcards.net today, guess what featured card smiled on me? haha lol :D

I don't think it would matter too much, but I think I would make it only friendly Mechs. It might be a bit too terrifying with enemy Mechs as most people these days play cards like Piloted Shredder, Antique Healbot and a few other Mechs. Also, if it counted enemy Mechs, as I said, there are cards that are played that are Mechs already, and this card could possibly be played in a deck that is not based around Mechs. Anyways, it shouldn't make that much of a difference but that's my opinion.

    Any opinions on my submission?

The dream for this card would be a hand full of Forked LightningLightning Storm, Feral Spirit and Earth Elemental cards! The value if all of these only had Overload (1)! It also has the added side effect of giving you a crazy hand to use with Unbound Elemental. In any case, since the effect is symmetrical, it forces both players to rethink their plans when this hits the board.

    Any opinions would be appreciated!

This is a nice mirror effect, that could be really strong if you don't have any cards in your hand or as you said, big Overload cards. Would make lots of Control decks hard to play with the amount of cards they normally have in their hand.

Her voice is like a timid young girl (like a teenager's or something)

Summon: I have come to be of assistance. <Entrance animation is like a minion revived by Kel'Thuzad. Her jingle would be something like this (from 0:00 to 0:06>

Attack: Do not underestimate my power.

Death: We are all spirits... in this material world...

    Lore:

There is this half-night elf, half-draenei girl named Alessa. Alessa supposedly has the power of a Spiritwalker, but more powerful. For instance, any dead creature she revives can be more powerful than before it died. Also, she can directly communicate with souls of long-passed creatures. As such, she is considered the most powerful Spiritwalker who ever lived, and a legend among many shamans and druids. The question that arises is the source of her powers. No one knows.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    This is my concept.

She is a minion that, when a friendly minion dies, it returns to the hand. In a manner as if Recombobulator used its Battlecry on that minion.

I am thinking I should make her a Druid minion.

This is a cool card, could be abused with repetitive use of the Giants. But it would be really cool card to see.

I tried something else instead. I really like Apothecaries in warcraft. Its just a bit hard to make them into a good card.

This is a bit awkward. What do you justify as a positive/negative card. For example Inner Rage, is that positive or negative? A bit flimsy but a cool concept.

@MightyGorgon: The rules also give examples of what's considered unique, and lists Ragnaros the Firelord and Baron Geddon as two cards which are considered the same.  Your card is a combination of "If you control a secret" Ethereal Arcanist, "Summon a Minion" (too many to count) and "Put a card of a certain type into your hand" Neptulon. Just because there's been no card that combines all three of these effects, doesn't make it unique for the purposes of this contest.

I've got two ideas, but I'm not sure which one I want to go with.

This guy is a business associate of Hemet Nesingwary. When he heard Hemet was going around slaughtering scores of animals, he was outraged. Why shoot animals and take their skulls, when you could motivate them (with a little appropriated Gnomish tech) to perform labor for you, then once they've worked themselves to death, take their skulls?

This one I haven't thought up any lore for yet, I mostly just like the bear pun. The effect was originally "Whenever your hero would lose attack at the end of your turn, don't.", but there's no precedent for your hero having attack during your opponent's turn, so I was worried I might break something. That, and there was no clear explanation for what would happen to your hero's attack when the minion dies.

I really like the first card, really practical. Kind of like a Divine Shield but with a different way of doing it.

    This is my entry:

Stats + effect quite similar to Loatheb plus druid friendly taunt.

Battlecry silence all effects next turn. How does it work?

If your opponent plays Abusive Sergeant in next turn, its just 2/1 minion, Aldor Peacekeaper? Just 3/3 No attack reduce effect. Warsong Commander? No Grim Patron Combo, cause it won't provide charge, and damaged Patron won't summon another Grim Patron in next turn. If Paladin will cast Blessing of Kings on token... that turn token will stay on 1/1 and BoK effect will come in next turn.  Antique Healbot? Sorry no heals. Facehunter drops Wolfrider? It's just 3/1 without charge. Oh... and forget about Giants :)

If your opponent has Archmage Antonidas on board? No fireballs from spell next turn. 2/2 minion buffed with Velen's Chosen? No effect next turn, it's just 2/2, but... for example Ancient Watcher on board will attack next turn and Orges will always attack a proper target, and Earth Elemental will not overload your enemy :)

As you said, this card is kind of like a Loatheb and it's really cool. Nice work!

Hey guys, this is my submission for this week's competition, Salazar Zelgius! He is an undead soldier of The Lich King's immortal legion (against his own will). Find the full lore down below.

Lore: Salazar was once the heir to a noble king. The Zelgius family was ruthlessly murdered though, after The Lich King ravaged their land. The forsaken were sent to cull the nobles, and destroyed the family, along with their fortitude. The Lich King doesn’t allow the dead to rest though and woke Salazar from the dead, to fight with him in his immortal legion.

Card Explanation: So, the way this functions is pretty self-explanatory. For example, if the effect hits a Piloted Shredder, it will lose its effect. This effect also applies to Battlecry effects such as Alexstrasza. This can also be a liability if it hits something like an Ancient Watcher. It also dodges the very hated Big Game Hunter and has a pretty sturdy Health pool.

If you like this card, please up-vote it in the Submission Thread here. Anyways, see ya later!

I kind of agree that at 4/5, it is really just obviously treading all over Chillwind Yeti. Maybe a 4/4 with the same effect would be a bit more appropriate.

    Ok, feedback time!

Sinti: Really cool card, would make Mechs a lot more controlly and less 'let me win by turn 6'. I think this would function very well.

DuskdaleWurm: Really unique effect, so it effectively has super-duper Taunt for your face. But the viability for this card would require lots of playtesting.

Roefl: Could fit very well into a Tempo Rogue that we might see from Shado-Pan Cavalry and other future cards. Can this card silence your own minions, or even itself? Because you said 'random minion'.

Firebolts: Really nice design this week, really like how he 'goes for the biggest'. Would probably see play against aggro because it will just pound them down. But what happens when they have two cards with the same Health. Is it random?

Daumis123: Now this could be a really epic card. You let it die four times, then Recombobulator it for a Ragnaros the Firelord. I like this one.

The_Imposter: This card could be really cool in Priest. You could use it with the two Bane sisters that are coming out. This could become really strong with the repeated use of Power Word: Shield though.

G4merGuy09: Once again, you have not failed to impress. Although I've seen this effect before, the name and art just tie it in so well. Really like this one too.

That's it for now guys, when more cards come out, I will try to give my opinion, and if any of you guys want to ask me something, feel free. See ya!

posted a message on So is Blood Knight going to be the top tech card in TGT?

Unless we see many more Paladins running around, playing lots of card with Divine Shield, it's a pretty weak card. I don't think the cards so far can still justify running a Blood Knight, but if the meta shifts enough and new play-styles are found, then it could very well be a 3 mana 6/6 or 9/9.
