    Quote from WizardSteve >>

Lot's of people seem ready to criticize the way others choose to play the game; it's toxic and it doesn't do anyone any good. Online games are only ever as good as their communities and toxicity erodes the game for everyone.

When I downloaded Hearthstone, I got a CCG with nine classes, casual and ranked versions of two different constructed modes, an arena mode and weekly tavern brawls and that's how I play it; a little bit of everything. If players choose to focus on a subset of classes or modes then that's fine, but to view their choice as somehow superior to that of others is, frankly, retarded.

This game (and this forum for that matter) could do with a lot less salt.

While I appreciate what you're trying to say, popping into a thread and calling the people there retarded isn't going to reduce the salt and, frankly, it makes you come off as oddly condescending in a post condemning people for falsely touting their superiority. I do agree with you though, nobody here has a reason to feel superior.

posted a message on Why do some people hate wild?

I think there are a lot of reasons why people might hate Wild mode, and all of them (most of them) are completely legitimate. AbusingKel is absolutely right in that there is a significant group of people who simply have never played wild and just parrot out the names of broken cards that they think show up significantly in the meta. I think some people should honestly just try it and see if they end up liking the meta. For reference, I have a group of friends who mocked me daily for playing wild cancer with piloted shredders and Boom. When their f2p asses dried up and they couldn't keep up dusting half their collection every rotation, some of them tried out wild and ended up recrafting half their wild legendaries because they actually ended up liking it.

But then we have people like Toymachine, who have played a ton of wild and flat-out hate the meta. I think we should just accept that some people don’t like the meta, and while I think he’s definitely oversimplifying its problems, he has a perfectly legitimate preference. IMO for people who have played wild and standard, it really just boils down to whether or not you end up liking the meta.

I mean, argue about it all you want, but no game mode is objectively better. I don’t think there are any statistics to prove that wild or standard is better or more balanced, and nobody is going to win an argument with no answer. I like Wild because I get to play reincarnate shaman and Rag and Sylvanas. On the other hand, some people also don’t want to ever see Reno or Gang up again. Just play the mode you like better.

posted a message on Shaman Fanatics?

I would consider myself a shaman fanatic. I just got 1000 wins a few hours ago so I'm qualified. The first cards I crafted from KFT were Moorabi and a golden Thrall, Deathseer. I usually play reincarnate shaman, and I run this one list that I've been modifying every expansion since WotOG. Here's the most recent variation:

    Reincarnate Shaman
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (16) Ability (13) Playable Hero (1)
    Loading Collection

As it turns out, despite all common sense, Thrall, Deathseer is really good in N'zoth shaman. I had to add in a couple more synergistic minions, mainly Thing from Below, but it's been working really well since.

Btw does anybody have a good freeze shaman list? I made one with Frozen Crushers and Thrall, Deathseer, but it's not very good. I'd like to think that the archetype itself is playable and my list just sucks.

posted a message on Hearthstone meta is consecutively polarizing and it's not fun

This might sound odd coming from someone who loves playing greedy control decks, but I rather like it when there's a decent amount of aggro over this heavy control meta, provided that there's some diversity and not every aggro deck is pirate warrior. It's fun to have some quick games where you basically try to stay alive long enough for you to run out of steam and for them to run out of ammo. It helps that my main deck is pretty good against aggro. It gets fatiguing when every other game is another super greedy control and you have to constantly outvalue their five tirions/lich kings/obsidian statues over 20/30 minutes.

I'm actually hoping this meta brings back zoolock, I like always liked those matchups.

But River Crocolisk has the beast tag which is significant, especially in druid. I'd say it's closer to Gnomeferatu.
