I feel that more people were upset about the lack of creativity rather than viability.

Rebuke is by far the best card revealed today, together with Call to Arms it will probably push paladin for another year of domination.
Glinda and the shaman's frog are good too, Applebaum and Amalgam are decent.
Hagatha is pretty slow, but i think she might work with the elemental package (Grumble will be amazing ), i will defiantly try her when the expansion hit.

I think people are underestimating Hagatha.

The thread is specifically called ''your hopes for upcoming shammy cards'' not ''what do you think about shaman and what should blizzard do with it'' sure,it's your opinion that shaman is a dead class and shouldn't exist but this thread isn't even about that that. there's no purpose about writing that on this thread '-'

Shaman at this point just needs a good win condition. They have a lot of cards in the good/average power level range, but the class needs something that will give it a big power swing. That's what I'm hoping the new hero card will be. For the rest of the set I want to see more focus on one or two archetypes. All of the 2017 sets gave Shaman a lot of different tools for various archetypes without any good support. All we need is a few good cards and one or two amazing cards and I think the class will be back in competitive action.

Guys, i was thinking. A lot of ppl now complaining about evolve nerf. I was also did it somewhere in the forum. But lets take a look at a big picture. Lets take for example our beloved 8-drop:
Awful: Anomalus, Geosculptor Yip, Grand Archivist, Grizzled Guardian, King Togwaggle, Tortollan Primalist (6 cards)
Bad: Kalimos, Primal Lord, Kathrena Winterwisp, Marin the Fox, Medivh, the Guardian, The Boogeymonster, (5 cards)
Ok: Doomcaller, Eldritch Horror, Giant Sand Worm, Gruul, Ironbark Protector(taunt), Primordial Drake (taunt), Rotface(situational), Sindragosa, Violet Wurm (9 cards)
Good: Al'Akir the Windlord(taunt), Charged Devilsaur, Grommash Hellscream, Ragnaros, Lightlord(heal), The Lich King(taunt), Tirion Fordring(taunt), (6 cards)
I didnt take wild coz lazy. Whatever, here we have 6 awful cards and 6 very good cards, 5 bad cards and 9 fair cards (ok stats or good taunt as Primordial Drake). And im not sure where i suppose to put Violet Wurm coz after it dies it leaves some minions that can be useful with bloodlust
In this expantion we've got 4 awful cards, 1 bad and 1 fair card. But 8-mana drop is still good. I mean, it not so good as before, but before we always wanted to evolve to 8-drop coz it was the most powerful. Maybe now it just become more balanced?
Lets take a look at the worst drop, 7-mana minions:
Awful: Giant Anaconda, Lynessa Sunsorrow, Silver Vanguard, Stone Sentinel, The Curator(but taunt), Twin Emperor Vek'lor(again, taunt), 6 cards
Bad: Ancient of War, Abyssal Enforcer, Ancient Shieldbearer, Ancient of Lore, Archbishop Benedictus, Baron Geddon (sometimes good, but still rarely), Blazecaller, Bonemare, Cho'gall, Core Hound (you dont want 5-health usually), Corridor Creeper, Don Han'Cho, Grimestreet Protector(taunt), Grotesque Dragonhawk, Guardian of Kings, Inkmaster Solia, Jade Chieftain, Malkorok, Temporus, Volcanosaur 20 cards
Ok: Abominable Bowman (not sure if its not bad, but stats are not terrible and you could lose some beasts before due to some evolves), Bog Creeper(taunt), Hogger, Doom of Elwynn, Ravenholdt Assassin, Sated Threshadon, Stormwatcher, War Golem(at least fair) 7 cards
Good: Archmage Antonidas, Prophet Velen, Stormwind Champion, Swamp King Dred, Tar Lord (taunt, it definitely survive so you can evolve it to 8-drop) 5 cards
So here we have worse. 6 awful, 5 good (and not so good really if you think about it), 7 fair and 20 bad. In new expansion we've got 2 awful and 2 bad cards in the worst (generally) spot. So if they would add some trash common 7-mana cards that never would be played line 7-mana 7-8 'Coboltus executus' and 7-mana 4-10 taunt (whatever, something) and maybe some really good drop like 7-mana 9-9 with overload 2 i would consider its fair. But they didnt.
On the other hand, they added some good drops, like Greedy Sprite (theoretically its good, but usually evolve time begins after you have 10 mana already), Ironwood Golem(tount and a lot of health), Cave Hydra(can be useful, i guess), Crystal Lion (i guess its ok to evolve dopplegangster into this), Kobold Illusionist, Voidlord, Rin, the First Disciple(lol, why not), Vulgar Homunculus(totem into this is pretty good), Kobold Barbarian, Gemstudded Golem(massive taunt), Hungry Ettin (the dream), Kobold Monk, Gravelsnout Knight, Sleepy Dragon, Cursed Disciple, Hoarding Dragon, Stoneskin Basilisk, Plated Beetle.
So i donno. I guess evolve will be still viable especially with that new spell

I think there are a lot of reasons why people might hate Wild mode, and all of them (most of them) are completely legitimate. AbusingKel is absolutely right in that there is a significant group of people who simply have never played wild and just parrot out the names of broken cards that they think show up significantly in the meta. I think some people should honestly just try it and see if they end up liking the meta. For reference, I have a group of friends who mocked me daily for playing wild cancer with piloted shredders and Boom. When their f2p asses dried up and they couldn't keep up dusting half their collection every rotation, some of them tried out wild and ended up recrafting half their wild legendaries because they actually ended up liking it.
But then we have people like Toymachine, who have played a ton of wild and flat-out hate the meta. I think we should just accept that some people don’t like the meta, and while I think he’s definitely oversimplifying its problems, he has a perfectly legitimate preference. IMO for people who have played wild and standard, it really just boils down to whether or not you end up liking the meta.
I mean, argue about it all you want, but no game mode is objectively better. I don’t think there are any statistics to prove that wild or standard is better or more balanced, and nobody is going to win an argument with no answer. I like Wild because I get to play reincarnate shaman and Rag and Sylvanas. On the other hand, some people also don’t want to ever see Reno or Gang up again. Just play the mode you like better.

I would consider myself a shaman fanatic. I just got 1000 wins a few hours ago so I'm qualified. The first cards I crafted from KFT were Moorabi and a golden Thrall, Deathseer. I usually play reincarnate shaman, and I run this one list that I've been modifying every expansion since WotOG. Here's the most recent variation:
As it turns out, despite all common sense, Thrall, Deathseer is really good in N'zoth shaman. I had to add in a couple more synergistic minions, mainly Thing from Below, but it's been working really well since.
Btw does anybody have a good freeze shaman list? I made one with Frozen Crushers and Thrall, Deathseer, but it's not very good. I'd like to think that the archetype itself is playable and my list just sucks.

And people say Thrall, Deathseer is bad, hah.

This might sound odd coming from someone who loves playing greedy control decks, but I rather like it when there's a decent amount of aggro over this heavy control meta, provided that there's some diversity and not every aggro deck is pirate warrior. It's fun to have some quick games where you basically try to stay alive long enough for you to run out of steam and for them to run out of ammo. It helps that my main deck is pretty good against aggro. It gets fatiguing when every other game is another super greedy control and you have to constantly outvalue their five tirions/lich kings/obsidian statues over 20/30 minutes.
I'm actually hoping this meta brings back zoolock, I like always liked those matchups.

Where did this art come from, I don't remember ever seeing it game.

But River Crocolisk has the beast tag which is significant, especially in druid. I'd say it's closer to Gnomeferatu.

Could use this to get through an enemy taunt minion.
