I could easily see this seeing play in most control shaman decks. Definitely going to try it in my N'zoth shaman, and it's even made freeze shaman look pretty good. Maybe freeze could even be tier 2 this expansion.

I mean, you could compare this to discard synergy in warlock, which totally exists. I don't think this card will see standard play frankly, so I don't think you should be worried. As for overload synergy in wild, I think it'll mostly be relegated to control shaman which often runs elemental destruction and now has incentive, aside from Hallazeal the Ascended, to run it over Volcano.

 Mike Donais said we won't see mass freeze for shaman. They're sticking with good single-target freezes.

Frankly I'm excited for this card. I hope it'll play similar to handlock, which used many taunts for stall and crushes the opponent with enormous minions later in the game. This card could be the new Mountain Giant for this archetype, Frozen Crusher could be Molten. The freezes would be analogous to the taunts used for stall in handlock.

Mountain Giant was effective in Handlock because you could get it on the board relatively early. I don't think Shaman has enough freeze effects to get this out before the late game, though, which means it's just a low cost big body with no board effect late in the game.

I like freeze Shaman conceptually, but I don't think this card is necessarily all that valuable. Though I suppose it could have some nice synergy with Cryostasis...

As riveting as this America vs the rest of the world argument is, I'm pretty sure Matt Place is American and implied that today is first day of "deathknight week" when he said that it would happen "next week."

Or he might have been thinking of the rest of the world and for convenience referred to monday. I think it's more likely the former though.

Or maybe none of this actually matters and reveals could start on tuesday. He wasn't specific as to whether the first day of "next week" is actually the first day we start reveals.

 Y'know, the card is probably bad, but I'll remain cautiously optimistic about it. We constantly underestimate card generation as an effect, just see Lyra, and there is a world where this could be great. We still haven't seen all the cards yet.

Besides, despite the stats, I love the card. It reminds me of Hallazeal, in that it's a relatively simple but really cool effect that has a multitude of possibilities. frankly even if they aren't all good, Blizzard never goes wrong with the Shaman legendaries.

man I really wish they made Ahune the legendary though.

I'm pretty excited for this card. We can't properly judge it without knowing what support freeze shaman will have, but if either legendary freezes minions or there is significant freeze synergy, this card could be insane. I'm being cautiously optimistic.

Btw guys, I might not have made it too clear in my original post, but I like seeing other people's card ideas way more than actually making my own. If you have cool ideas for death knight heroes, feel free to post here.
