People actually defending Tempo Mage are probably those who enjoyed their turn 4-5 wins playing as pre-nerf Pirate Warrior back then. It was supposed to die when Flamewaker left and now it's finally gone for good. It's by far one of the most one dimensional decks out there and in the same bracket as the old Aggro Shaman in that regard (remember that Spirit Claws, Rockbiter Weapon and Tuskarr Totemic all were hit hard?)
People defending Tempo Mage/Mana Wyrm (Zalae and many others did today on Twitter) I can almost guarantee are on average a much higher rank than those those like yourself demonizing it with no statistical backing. Tempo Mage was not at all oppressing in the meta, and really never has been. Those that hate Mana Wyrm/Tempo Mage just have an innate hate for the deck without any real statistical backing other than their feelings got hurt by the deck.
This nerf is actually expected and coherent with their statement .
Just because it’s a class iconic card, doesn’t mean that they will never touch it ( if it’s autoinclude level... the same could be said about other cards but hey, small indie company, small steps Kappa) , See several Huntercards or Waraxe.
Show me one example in the past week of someone predicting Mana Wyrm would be nerfed in this update.
Late in 2016 Blizzard had a blog post about protecting Classic Cards and keeping them intact and not messing with a Class's identity... well good job you did just that in nerfing the most iconic Mage card in Mana Wyrm. Meanwhile you let all the Powerful Druid Cards (which were released in 2017 and not Classic Cards) do whatever they want and not get nerfed... Druid can have 3+ Tier 1 decks and not get any Standard Card nerfs yet Mage has just ONE deck that's above Tier 4 (Tempo Mage Tier 2 before this nerf) and you COMPLETELY WAY OVER-NERF by FAR the most important card of Mage's Classic Set.... I'M DONE. LITERALLY UNINSTALLING IF THEY GO THROUGH WITH THIS PATHETIC NERF.

"The Seasonal Championship Tournaments will consist of sixteen players. Four players from the Americas Seasonal Playoff Tournament, four players from the Europe Seasonal Playoff Tournament, four players from the Asia-Pacific Seasonal Playoff Tournament, and four players from the China Hearthstone Game Region as determined by Blizzard Entertainment"
Since they don't need HCT points to qualify how do they qualify for HCT? What Tournament(s) do they have to win? What ladder finishes do they have to get? It just seems bizarre that in HCTs Rule Book all the rules apply to everyone EXCEPT China.
Yes? What is this stupid ass thread? Pro Hearthstone players either amass a large following through content creation, they win, or both. Joe Schmoe legend grinder is a no name hack that cracks under pressure. The entire idea of pro players being worse than regular legend players and making more misplays is a fallacy. You don't watch the nobodies nearly as much as the people in the spotlight, so how can you act like you know something? Also, for the record, some of the most embarassing tourney misplays have come from open tournaments where the average legend players showed up. Hearthstone is a game where the best are hovering around 60% winrates because Hearthstone is a shitty game. Quit confusing it's dumbed down bullshit of a player base that thinks they are top dogs because they grind a bunch of this children's card game at a 51% winrate with the people who actually put in the time to earn that 60%.
You really have no clue what you are talking about.... Many "Pros" will barely have a 50% Win Rate on one server so they pay a lot of money to amass cards on multiple servers giving them a huge advantage over those who only have an account on one server.... an average joe Legend player might have around a 55% Total Win Rate playing 200-300 Ranked Games in a month while a "Pro" might play 3,000+ Ranked Matches in a month on multiple servers. Last Month I stopped playing Ranked for 2+ weeks because I lost interest in it after hitting Legend.... doesn't mean I had a bad win rate though. In fact, it was quite the opposite... I was doing better in Ranked than in Casual.
Watch a recorded tournament VOD. Black out the top of the screen so your can't see one player's hand. Mute it. Just as every turn starts, pause, and determine what play you would make in the exact same situation.
I'll be impressed if anyone here gets the exact plays right more than 75% of turns. Even if you match 90%, or 95%, those subtle differences make a huge impact. What you perceive as a misplay could actually be a deeper strategic gamble that your puny legend mind cannot grasp.
Oh, and deckbuilding for tournament play is a skill in of itself that high legend players never have to address.
You're talking as if
1. The player in tournament is playing it correct almost always
2. Different lines of play = mistakes (because this isn't always the case)

They just nuked the Mage Class for no reason, so if you hate Mage you'll love the current meta.

Mage Win Rate Garbage in Standard, Wild and Arena... never saw that coming... oh wait I did.
2
Be careful saying this (speaking the truth) there are a lot of Braindead Mage Haters on this Forum.

And if I don't log in for the next 6+ months will you give me a $60 check?

I actually play Druid more than any other class in Ranked because it's so powerful... but it's so powerful that's it's boring.

Straight from the HCT Handbook, why is it so secretive regarding China?

Only difference is I run 2 Chain Gangs and only 1 Spellstone.

I went 17-2 with it from Rank 3 to Legend last season.. I'd say it's pretty good.

As Tempo Mage I would gladly go 2nd every game.
