posted a message on Expansion Reveal Stream Coming July 1, and a Note on Mercenaries

The bags, armor and quest part must be a hint towards the expansion. Quests will return more than likely, the bag thing might be a new unique flavour card like spellstones or ranked spells. The bags sounds like some form of value type of card that when played/unpacked, adds stuff to your hand or deck.

As for the armor? Could be simple like more armor decks but I do wonder if it could be a new mechanic... a type of weapon that doesn't attack and comes with some passive ability. Some durabilty/health that your opponent will have to get to 0 to remove it from play similar to the shield of bulwark or whatever for warrior.

posted a message on What's this weird mill priest I've started seeing?

I've been playing this for a while now as a stupid counter to tickatus but it can absolutely annihilate 90% of control. Was able to get to D5 in 3 days and then any kind of druid, deathrattle demon hunter and aggro pally and hunter really becomes more prominent and a bit struggle but it can beat them and the process can be fun and satisfying! Keymaster alabaster has also finally made a suitable appearance in a decklist too which is nice...

I think it's more of a "go ahead and try it out" rather than use a specific deck recipe bc it ain't tier 1 and won't be unless they add one more thing that can make your opponent draw 2 cards or something. Use the cards you mentioned and the murloc that makes your opponent draw and maybe also mutanus and then see what you can make :)

posted a message on Why didn't my Dunk Tank get upgraded first time?

That's happened to me a few times before with Silas when it first came out and also the 6 mana mage Reno card that just rotated out. The only answer I can find is that it's a glitch and nothing more. But one that can ultimately cost you the match, which are the worst. So far, the only link I've come across (I could be misremembering) is that it's battlecry minions that fail to corrupt cards occasionally.

posted a message on Wailing Caverns Mini Set - New Cards

Oh, they will. They will for sure. While everyone was asking for another minion tribe soon they gave us over half a dozen spell tribes instead. And without doubt these are going to make classes feel more unique with the way spell schools work for the class. I even feel next year or so, they will remove druids core ramp and focus on an arcane druid that will feature new ramp/mana cheat abilities and a bit of damage like moonfire (it's 0 mana cost gives it mana cheat feeling potential), lunar eclipse and celestial alignment all fit into

Also I felt DH really didnt feel unique at launch and I worry any other classes they release would fall into the same issue until now... I mean no class atm is dedicated to frost (mage is like a 1/3) but Death knight could be...

posted a message on Deleted rewards packs

Happened to me with the recent rokara adventure, didn't open them... it just disappeared after about 24 hours. Next time I'm not gonna save them, even though I have every standard warrior card, dust is better than nothing!

posted a message on Arid Stormer not very arid

I thought this was gonna be a complaint that it ain't a 5 star card and was ready to roll my eyes but this made me chuckle.

As a side note, the moist cloud ain't actually a bad card and with a little more elemental synergy, I think I'd be able to forgive it's art being a bit weak 😅 tbf this expansion was all round a bit meh with it's art consistency I thought (frozen throne is one of the best imo)

No they're not random. I've played it a bit and as I recall, the drake is the last card and the aoe before that I believe..

posted a message on A secret change in mechanics or a bug?

Then I do wonder if this is intentional now? If it always summons on the side on the side of the player who cast the spell. Still too hesitant to just cast it on an enemy minion expecting the 2 to summon on my side though...

Anyone wanna add me to test it out on a friendly game and get some proper results??

posted a message on A secret change in mechanics or a bug?

Unfortunately I didn't get any clear pictures of the incident but long story short. My opponent had a minion and they played Grave Rune and Embalming (the 1 cost reborn spell for priest) on it. I used Mind Control on it, but when it died, the 2 minions were summoned for my opponent and not me however the reborn minion was summoned on my side. I think I did get a picture of all the minions that was summoned but that's all.

I haven't used mind control in a long time (it was my choice on a Palm reading) so I don't know if this is just how it has worked for a while or whatever but I'm pretty sure this is a bug and 1 that lost me a game which is always the worst kind :(

posted a message on Rotating Achievements

Am I the only one bummed out by the fact the darkmoon achievements are losing their exp reward? It's understandable to remove them once they move solely to wild but I'm so close to a few 3/3s but I know none will be achieved by the 25th.

Also, I think it would be nice to see some seasonal achievents, like around Easter time there could be something about playing 50 egg cards or they could release some chocolate based elemental and give an achievement for destroying 20 minions with it... and Halloween could have stuff like "control 7 minions with 'Spider' in their name at the same time" just a thought really and I'd never say no to more exp.

posted a message on "Steal" cards for Priest

Yeah I've always loved the idea, if it went as far to literally stealing the opponents card (destroying their copy too) then I might have a complaint or 2...

I'm hoping with these new spell schools that they really push for a good shadow priest based around the steal mechanic priest has, maybe even one that gets better in shadowform as well, with cards like: 2 mana restore 4 health to your hero, repeat for each time you have cast shadowform this game. Maybe a new shadow Velen, 7 7/7 whenever you cast a shadow spell, discover a card from your opponent's deck.

posted a message on Duplicate Legendary Mechanic

You should get regular when dusting golden and I don't think you need the full set of legendaries to find a regular version. (It happened with me and Ancharrr) I think goldens are almost a different entity to regulars in a way...

But the disenchant trick doesn't work until you have the full set of regular legendaries but ultimately, if you disenchant a recently nerfed card you can't find it in a pack until the full refund disenchant disappears

posted a message on Duplicate Legendary Mechanic

I think there's something they included where in you can't find cards that have been nerfed in the last 2 weeks as well. I remember that being mentioned on a reddit post years ago because I have heard of people who disenchant a certain legendary constantly so when they eventually open a golden legendary it will be the one they want.

posted a message on Custom Class Competition #7 -- Discussion Thread | Week One

How does this work? Does it debuff an enemy minion and buff this weapon at the same time so it goes 1,3,5,7 meanwhile debuffing 8 attack from enemies? Because if so that's already very powerful and adding lifesteal to it would be 16 damage and 16 health for 5 mana which is amazing as is, let alone the 8 attack debuff. However your 9 mana mech could have lifesteal maybe, especially when compared to the shaman 8 mana windfury lifesteal elemental. Maybe knock off 1 stat as it is a basic minion?

posted a message on Custom Class Competition #7 -- Submission Thread | Week One

    Hero Power Tokens:

Results from the hero power: These are token cards and can only be obtained when a text reads "Tome of the Old Gods". They don't make up your collection and can not be gained through a card like Cobalt Spellkin or anything similar.

The Cultist is my new class for this competition to be released alongside Madness at the Darkmoon Faire. The Cult of the Twilight's Hammer is a dark cult in the WoW universe, famous for worshiping and serving the Old Gods. With their mysterious ways, their never seeming to quit their destiny of Doomsday and absolute death and chaos and impressive recruitment abilities I had some space for creative flavour. Likewise this class seems to never quit, The Cultist has access to health restoration, single target removal and damage of DOOM level power (whatever that means) and capabilities of summoning huge boards and using the death of them to their advantage... And they also love Deathrattle.

They have many strengths and play styles, Aggro could be an option for sure, but so are Miracle. They have a great chance at tempo with their use of interesting buffs and especially with their new unique keyword Ritual, which is an effect that when played gets locked in and then triggers at the start of a set amount of your turns. E.g. Ritual (x3): Draw a card. Would draw you a card at the start of your next 3 turns regardless if the minion dies or whatever. However more will be developed on that in the Initiate set to come (or as I'm calling it "The Ceremonial Set"). And finally Control is viable with some very powerful legendaries to come... You could say they have God like power...

I will admit, the hero power is unique, similar to Warlock and Shaman in the sense it is a random 1 in 4 and gains you an extra card, however it is NOT a draw, in fact the outcome will probably be worse than a Warlock's 90% of the time or so. These 4 cards shown above are the outcomes and are NOT collectible from packs or whatever, just tokens (So I hope I don't break any rules in displaying them with no spoiler). Each tome of course represents an Old God, more particularly, their first iteration. Already, the abundance of low cost spells should shout "Miracle deck" to someone.

This first card is 1 of only a couple of minions in this Basic set. However it depicts very much the use of friendly swarms of minions dying for another use and also the start of healing possibilities.

Once again, a fairly basic card but this is the Keyword requirement for the competition. A card good for a quick big heal perhaps or for some Miracles.

The last to be showcased is this buff. Suitable for Aggro for sure but also great for Tempo and even Control with duping a powerful legendary of yours.

    Remaining 7 basic cards.

The final heal for the basic set. This class will feature more weapons, it is almost a necessity with what they are based on... This however is the only weapon in the basic set. It might not be the best but restore 10 health for 1 mana is not too bad!

An obvious Miracle card. Not great early on but can definitely see play with Animated Broomstick to activate one of the class's many effects that would trigger there. (The Tentacle is a token card)

With great knowledge, comes great power. A small buff ultimately that would probably become forgotten about over time, but there could be space for a little card like this.

One of their many removals that will become more prominent throughout the "Ceremonial Set" however there is further death synergy and at 3 mana... It ain't bad let's be honest here.

The second and final minion in the Basic set. After having change the card as Deathrattle isn't used in basic class sets I have changed it. The name is a reference to a book in WoW that ultimately makes individuals learn about the prophecies and join the cult. Originally the card had a Deathrattle of summoning a Cultist but instead the theme is that the card is creating books/tomes just like the name insists.

A very odd card to work out it's power level. However 3 draws are generally costed at 5 mana. Three 1/1's for 1 mana ain't bad but it's not as straight forward as that... The draw ain't instant, it comes in a turn later which might seem bad but if you know you are set up for a miracle the next turn, then drawing those cards next turn for free and set up a sort of wide board presence this turn for synergies then it might work better than most people are expecting. One weakness to this spell are transform effects. It should also be noted that card draw is one of this class's weaknesses. Not having many and the ones they do have are limited to a set amount, in this case it's 3. (Once again the Cultist is a token, however this one is unique, suggesting it has to be the ones summoned from the spell to die and are easily detectable.)

The 10th and final basic card. Another buff! This time, it's big! Essentially a Blessing of Kings with a possibly repeatable Consecration thrown on top for 8 mana. It's big and combo'd with Rush and Lifesteal it can be quite game turning.

I hope everyone has enjoyed looking at my cards, just to recap.

Strengths: heal, wide boards, Deathrattle and death in general, single target removal, buffs, moderate card draw and generators, unique keyword that keeps tempo (We'll find out more soon), a huge offering of small spells and also large powerful minions (None in here yet but trust me, they're coming).

Weaknesses: Lack of AOE, Whispers of the Void is one of only a very few AOE's in this class, fast play but no powerful draws, lack of direct damage especially for face, very few board buffs and it might actually be one that's a bit hard to pilot to begin with unlike Demon Hunter.
