posted a message on Blizzard has revealed the identity of N'Zoth!

Sinister, as expected. And he does have a kind of reptilian look if you look at the two ''faces'' on the sides.
This would make sense as he could be based on Zoth-Ommog from the Cthulhu Mythos.

I actually think N'Zoth is the one depicted sbove Anderonie, that one looks waaay bigger!

But this alien guy is damn cool also! Jeez, loving all this artwork!!

I think that one looks a bit too.. regular.. to be an old god.

The one that OP mentioned certainly looks a bit terrifying. Wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be N'zoth, but wouldn't put my bets on it either.

Edit: Also, it has some naga-like ''qualities'' to it.

    @Yogo

No offence, but this misunderstanding is getting a bit old.

Only C'thun is going to have these kind of dedicated cards that synergize with it.

I don't mean to take it out on you but if you look at any of the latest threads regarding the card reveals you will see that half of the thread is cluttered with posts where people assume all of the gods will have synergies like that and people have to reply to them over again telling them otherwise.

In case you didn't know these specific cards will also not be usable in Arena.

I haven't seen a Blue Post on this or anything from their Twitter, where did Blizzard say this?

To be frank I don't quite remember. Maybe in an interview perhaps. Since everything eventually ends up on Hearthpwn that's probably where I saw it first.

posted a message on ''random'' decks no longer random

Since the new patch ''create random deck'' that you can choose to use when you click ''done'' after creating an unfinished deck has been modified. It no longer gives random cards but now instead only gives good cards that generally see play.

Personally I think this is a bit of a shame. I enjoyed playing with friends using these random wacky decks where instead of playing with our usual decks each draw would be a discovery. Something I noticed with Blizzard and their games in general is that they leave no stone unturned when it comes to messing with and controlling every aspect of their games. Sometimes these ''imperfections'', like random deckbuilder creating ''eccentric'' decks, are the things that keep a game interesting after a long period of content drought.

They did something similar with WoW a bit ago. Many players enjoyed the challange in soloing outdated bosses in the game (me and a friend included). It was something that was bound to happen eventually as player characters grew stronger but which the WoW dev team perhaps hadn't prepared for.. So what do they do? They make sure everyone and anyone can solo these bosses by nerfing their power drastically.

For potentially challanging solo content you are now referred to the official route known as brawler's guild.

To be fair there are still some raids that are challanging to solo but I feel as we were ''robbed'' of alot of good soloing content.

Back to topic, what are your thoughts on the randomizer not being so random anymore?

posted a message on Whispers of the Old Gods : Possibilities for new Mechanic?

Personally I feel like there are already enough mechanics in this game for the moment. There is still alot of room for exploration with the inspire and discover mechanics, especially now that the game is likely going to slow down a bit with the ''removal'' of naxx and gvg. Someone else mentioned this, but if old gods are implemented I would like to see them as a rarity of their own akin to ''beyond legendary'' on youtube, with unorthodox ways of playing the cards maybe similar to how Elise works today.

posted a message on Museum Curator Better in Standard Version?

It depends on how many good deathrattles there are in the upcoming expansion. As it looks now, I say it's going to take a hit. A lot of good deathrattle cards reside in the gvg/naxx sets.

People, why be so rude? It's completely understandable to be frustrated when you lose something you've spent alot of time (or money) acquiring. I say lost because with the competitive scene being exclusive to Standard, that format that will probably be the most popular from now on, especially within the competitive playerbase.

Essentially, if you are a competitive player, standard will be what you play. Since boom can no longer be played in standard, he becomes rather meaningless to a competitive player. Anyone who crafted anything from GVG/golden naxx has all the right to feel frustrated.

Theyre not being taken away. Golden cards are crafted purely for vanity. You cant cry when your vanity toy is not longer cool. Times change. If you spend all your money on one flashy trendy toy then you're a retard.
Yes, it's being taken away from the format that may matter to him. The competitive format. If he plans to play the format that's competitive, then he will have no use for the gvg-golden that he crafted. Yes, playing flashy cards may not matter to you, but it may matter to him. Doesn't make him a retard.
Both formats are competitive. Yes, players who don't want to play Wild because they want to stay competitive, are retards, with huge ego issues.
Define competitive. When I say competitive I mean what has the potential to award world championship points. That includes sanctioned tournaments and what will soon be the Standard Format. Sure, not alot of players are going to get enough, if any points. For some players though, the prospect of getting into the ''pro'' scene may bring excitement and act as a motivational force. No, it doesn't have to make them retards or egomaniacs..

Rule of thumb when playing against secret paladin... don't hold onto so many cards due to DF. You should know that.

Also, your opponent wasn't noob. He has a golden portrait.

Golden portraits don't go hand-in-hand with skill.  I've played against plenty of noobs with golden portraits before.
I'm pretty sure he was being somewhat sarcastic.

posted a message on #3 EU Anyfin Can Happen Paladin

As it stands now, it won't. The combo requires huge sacrafices in the standard paladin deck and the murlocs by themselves are pretty weak. I've tried about a hundred different variations of this deck and while I enjoy the occasional win I still haven't found a way for it to be competitive.

posted a message on HS World Championship Winner spoiled... Again

Good morning! Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I understand that first and foremost I am to blame for jumping around on blizzard fan-sites.
Actually, I was avoiding Hearthpwn as a whole I just didn't anticipate the spoiler to also be found on MMO-champion.
    Joke's on me..

Yes, as I said, I understand that Blizzard wants to, and in a way are obliged to report who won their big tournament.

    I just thought
that naming the winner thread differently would have been a harmless yet helpful way to save people like me, who don't have the option to watch it live,  from dem unholy spoilers.

I posted this same thread on hearthstone forums and undoubtebly others feel the same way as I do about it. Someone had it spoiled through interacting with the B-net launcher..

posted a message on HS World Championship Winner spoiled... Again

God, I hate myself..  I've watched all previous HS World Championship matches up to the semifinals only
to refresh MMO-champion for the latest WoW Blizzcon-goodies only to have the HS-winner spoiled for me as I
habitually glance over at the blue posts.. Again.. Just like the previous year..

Now one would think I should avoid Blizzard News sites like MMOchamp or Hearthpwn as a whole until I've finished watching the whole thing
but really.. Now I understand that you want to announce the winner but wouldn't it be reasonable to name the topic something other than
    ''Congratulations to [Player Name]!''?

I can't be the only one having this problem, not being able to watch the matches right as they are being streamed live and then stumbling over a hard-to-avoid spoiler like this. Anyone else feel this way?

    ''sniff''
