Good point on the Priest play, but since you're probably the only person who currently plays Priest, it shouldn't be too bad ;) (J/K)
My other thought was the danger of the recent tech play of Crazed Alchemist to counter the invalid?/unvalidated?/non-validated?/vanilla? Doomsayer. Probably still quite a rare scenario tho.
Validated Doomsayer seems like another quirky Wotog card that doesn't see any real play, but I was wondering...could it work well in a ramp Druid deck? With just a single innervate + coin, you could get it out on Turn 2 - potentially even Turn 1 with the dream double Innervate. Seems like it would be pretty unlikely that your opponent could take out a 7-health minion at that point in the game. It's almost like a better version of Flamewreathed Faceless!
I don't play Ramp Druid much and I'm not a great deckcrafter, so I haven't built anything around the idea. Just curious to hear from other players (particularly Druid) whether this seems like a viable idea. Thanks!
I've heard the idea that he could be used as a "silence alternative" on things like Sylvanas etc., but that seems like a really rare scenario, and I can't really imagine tech'ing him in for something like that. There are plenty of things I could use the dust for, but want to make sure I haven't overlooked a reason to keep him (he is a Standard card at least, so he's got that going for him!)
Just achieved my first-ever 12-win Arena run with a deck that I expected to go around 3-3 with! No Legendaries, no epics, and a bunch of one-off random cards...but those 3 Frost Novas pulled me through at least 4 games I should've lost.
I know other people don't really care, but man I am so happy right now! :D
For my money, it doesn't get any worse than Entomb. Even when I know it's coming, I still cling to this vain hope that somehow my opponent failed to draw it before turn 6. But they always do. ALWAYS!
(I'm not actually salty here -- in fact, I've been playing Priest lately! Just wondering what cards others find infuriating...?)
I've been playing N'zoth Pally a lot lately, and it's a lot of fun. I'm currently Rank 10, and don't claim to be an expert, but I'll share my perspective.
I'd say Cairne is nice but not critical, whereas Sylvanas is a must - otherwise the deathrattle mechanic loses a lot of value, and you're better off playing a different style of deck. Cairne's stickiness is great, but I usually find him to be a "win more" card -- too late to counter aggro, and stats too weak for control. If you happen to have Chillmaw, she's a great Cairne replacement (in fact, I'd craft Chillmaw over Cairne if you had to choose one).
In short: I consider N'zoth decks playable with Sylvanas and without Cairne, but not vice versa.
Just my two cents. I must say I am happy to finally have a deck that Cairne fits well into though, even if I consider him non-essential! :)
It's just my opinion, but I feel like some of the C'thun interactions are quite confusing. For example, my opponent played his 13/13 C'thun to the board. On my turn, I played Aldor Peacekeeper, reducing its attack to 1. On his turn, he played Twin Emperor Vek'lor, which has the condition "If your C'thun has 10 or more Attack..." C'thun is sitting right there on the board with 1 Attack, yet the Emperor battlecry still gets triggered.
I guess the idea is supposed to be (correct me if I'm wrong here) that a C'thun on the board is just a "representation" of the ACTUAL C'thun, whose stats keep going up in the sidebar regardless of what else is happening in the game. While I suppose this explains the interactions, it really seems unintuitive to me.
Agree/disagree? Thoughts? Better explanations? I'm not really upset about it, just kinda annoyed. Maybe I'm the only one...?
I was running Control Priest, opponent was playing Tempo Mage...I had the game in hand with board presence and full health. Played Auchenai into his Duplicate Mirror Entity, then went face, taking him down to 6 health. On his turn, he played Reno Jackson...
Obviously this will be quite dependent upon how other classic cards are changed/nerfed (BGH, etc.), but I'm interested to know what the new crafting priorities will look like. This is particularly applicable for new players who don't already have all the good classic cards, but I still have some gaps in my collection as well. For instance, I never crafted Rag, and it seems like he may become #1 or #2 priority again with Standard.
Do you foresee any big changes in Legendary crafting priority? Any big jumps for things like Cairne Bloodhoof or TBK? I'm excited to see how older Legendaries might get revitalized with the upcoming changes.

Actually Yogg-Saron, Hope's End is a close second right now... the randomness is equally entertaining and infuriating! :D

Leeroy Jenkins? Doomsayer? SKill Command?

Turn 5 Naga -> Turn 6 Aviana + KT etc.
Aviana's ability trumps Naga's when played that way. Lots of fun when you get the right combo!

Aviana is an absolute champ in this deck!

Added on Battle.net. Thanks for the offer, would appreciate some gameplay advice.

Thanks, Auchenai!

Great guide! What would be best to replace Thalnos? Is the card draw more important than spell power? E.g. loot hoarder over kobold geomancer?
2
Great deck! Any reason not to run Harrison instead of Ooze? Do you think it affects the mana curve too much?
