Looks like blizzard did a good job on this one.  Pretty even split on whether it'll be broken or junk.

Early game, it might handicap you badly enough you might lose easily.  On the other hand, in the late-game, it's essentially better than Assassinate.  Assassinate being good in arena, this might be pretty good as well.  I can't be sure, obviously, but it seems a fair chance.

So, in the several mentioned, past or present.  A few notable stats:

    Total Decks Listed: 93

    Total Posts Made: 66

    Favored Archetype:  Reno (11)

Highest Single Deck+Class:  Freeze Mage (7), followed by Control Warrior (6)

Most Listed Classes:  Warlock (19), and Mage (22).  Priest and Rogue were lower, with a respectable 12 and 11 respectively.

Also Fun: Midrange would altogether have just as many picks as Freeze mage (7), depending on whether you assume that the 4 people who listed Midrange Shaman were serious, or joking.

Note:  Some decks listed may have been the same archetype by a different name.  (I.E. Maybe some tribe decks were tempo-based, or something similar.)

Okay, so let's think about this.

On the one hand, we've got Muster for Battle, for 3 mana.  That's generally agreed to be a good card, especially on curve.  With the weapon and the bodies, you're in a solid position.

On the other hand, we've got Stand Against Darkness, which, while I was hyped for it when Steward of Darkshire was announced, was really pretty bad.  The bodies are understatted for the cost, and there's no upside.

Now, both of these cards did have a bit of synergy with other cards from the class, Quartermaster and Warhorse Trainer, but while I've heard about people getting massive value out of Quartermaster with muster, I've never heard of it with SAD.  Off the top of my head, it's probably because that literally requires both cards to be dead until you've got 10 mana, whereas 8 is much more efficient, and muster is at least passable any hour of the day.

So, take this card.  4 mana for a 4-4 statline.  That's obviously on the same idea as SAD, and no weapon upside.  Sounds pretty bad.

But, here's where it gets interesting.  While this may, by itself, be just as bad as Stand, worst case you've got 4 evolve targets, and the murloc deck has gotten a lot more support, and at this point, you've got your Coldlight Seer, and your Murloc Warleader, turning this board into something really dangerous, or even following it up with a Grimscale Oracle to double your value out of this, potentially.  This is neglecting a Murloc Tidecaller, which would, itself, become a force to be reckoned with, especially if it had already been on board, so it could hit for the full 5.  And, people have already talked about the synergy with Everyfin is Awesome, which, while League isn't rotated out, makes this card effectively free if you were planning to play it.  In short, I'd call this a good deal better than Stand Against Darkness, for a start.  I'm not going to say better than Muster for Battle, necessarily, as that was an excellent card but I'm gonna be looking into this.

Meanwhile, over in wild mode, we've got some greats, Old Murkeye and Siltfin Spiritwalker, who can both up the value even further.

In short, I would be on the lookout for this card.  Maybe it's awful.  It wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong, but hey, worth a shot, right?.

A ways back in my hearthstone career, before I'd even heard of hearthpwn, I was in a shaman v. shaman match.  Or maybe I was mage, I don't remember.  The point is, he managed to blast me down to 1 HP, but I had some serious threats on the board, and he had to hex one.  So there I was, 1 HP, no heals, with only a 1HP taunt blocking a shaman with a weapon, one hit left on it.  I kid you not, he held that weapon for the rest of the game, searching for a way to take down the frog he'd put there.  In the end, it was my win.

Similarly, I fought a mage as a priest, down to 1 HP, only my Hero Power healing me, with a superior board.  He, despite his best efforts, can't find any burst, and through sheer use of my Hero Power, I push my way back up to 10 HP.  It was pretty awesome.

Man, nobody ever remembers this card, I guess.  I don't put it in decks, but I do love to get one out of a piloted shredder.  4 health is a good start for when you're up on board but behind on health.

It occurred to me that I really only know a few decks, and I was just wondering what people loved about their own decks.

For me, I love a good Murloc Paladin, with some inspire elements, because it's so efficient.

I just considered:  Take the humble Bluegill warrior, which I personally run in my murloc decks, and not just for OTK purposes.   This card, on an empty board, lets you hit for half of the power you had on the bluegill, but at the bonus that it doesn't die.  That's valuable in the early game, as you can deal with, let's say, a paladin HP on their turn 2, or a fair number of one drops.  Then, either the opponent pings it down, losing valuable mana, or they play into it, giving you time to buff it up with a either your health buff or attack buff, and gain further advantage.

The loss of charge is a serious downside in the lategame, especially with anyfin can happen, but for the early game, I'm happy to see this guy.
