Blizzard did it as always. Hard arch-type nerf, only 80 dust refund. Good job.

ThundervaleHS posted a message on Card Nerf - Leeching PoisonPosted in: Card DiscussionI probably know the answer but what if you give kingsbane lifesteal this turn and you destroy it? ( using it's last durability), it goes back in to the deck and could it keep the lifesteal? I know it's a bad assumption but you know... it keeps enchantments

lite0 posted a message on The December 2018 Nerfs Discussion ThreadPosted in: General DiscussionI don't like these nerfs. They literally killed two archetypes.
Kingsbane rogue was kind of busted, so fair enough. I think they could have weakened the archetype rather than kill it, though. They had to do something if they wanted to nerf it's worst matchup in odd pally, but jeez.
Shudderwock nerf is terrible imo. I totally understand the reasoning, but the timing is terrible. All they did is make sure the card will see 0 competitive play until rotations happen. The rotation was going to kill the combo anyway. You need something like the combo to compete with the power levels of year of the mammoth cards. They just killed shaman's only consistent tournament deck after it's been around all year.
Not to mention Saronite is a lot worse in general now since it loses handbuff synergy with keleseth, valanyr, soul infusion, etc.
Odd paladin is fucked. It'll still be around but it will no longer be a top aggro deck. Level up was the best card for the deck, nothing else will give the same level of finisher or ability to protect face against other aggro.
Not too sure about Druid. They will probably still be good but they might have to actually play some early cards. This really makes their curve weird since you can't WG into one of their many power 4 mana cards like Oaken summons, Branching paths, WW, etc. Might be worth it to just play the 3/1 ramp dude instead of WG. Odd druid is ded before it even lived.
Hunters are going to have a field day with this. Shudderwock, Odd pally, and Kingsbane all kept them in check more or less. I'm not sure what's going to now.

m0w posted a message on The December 2018 Nerfs Discussion ThreadPosted in: General DiscussionGood news here! The nerfs all touch the decks that are highly uninteractive - which is good! First Raza Priest, then (twice) rogue quest, now shudderwock (which is not that OP but still not fun to play against).

Druid was weak against wide boards. This card kills it, also the reason why we have lots of otk druid decks.
They already nerfed it. It was originally 5 mana. Also, I like the design of punishing players for overextending in this way, adds strategic consideration instead of just odd pally slamming 1/1s every turn.
Not to mention they actually added tech cards vs them that were run a lot at the hight of Druid power.

MaximGorkij posted a message on The December 2018 Nerfs Discussion ThreadPosted in: General Discussionrecently i craft kingsbane...
well, i will get full dust anyway, so noting lost
No, you will not. Kingsbane is not touched, so no dust refund for the weapon itself.

Gluttonous Ooze is absolutely fine.

I actually don't hate it at all, I'd actually consider it a generally 'fair' deck tbh. I hate tempo mage, zoo, odd pally more.

Nice. I am F2P, I've hit legend multiple times with out soending a penny, but then again I've been playing for like 4 years or something. Believe it or not, I've never gotten 12 wins in arena, my best is 10, I don't really enjoy arena tbh.

I was thinking maybe an expansion every 2 months, maybe a but bigger, like 30 cards 2 per class and 12 neutrals, but I think that EVERY month is too much. A lot of ppl really like the metas, and would want then to last more than 1 month

Exactly my opinion as well.

Same here tbh. Opened 90 packs of boomsday got Legendaries on packs 10,50, and 90, for a total of 4 Legendaries (1 freebee). I'm also F2P so yeah I does really suck for us

It's just a super high rolley deck, like Prince Keleseth

I think we just found a Blizzard Employee! Bless my packs next exp! (Maybe you're Been Brode in disguise, don't worry I won't tell anyone)

After my first pack opening day 1, I'll keep opening packs one by one until I hit the pity timer then save. I have started saving day puzzle labs came out for next exp

Like people were saying, Houndmaster Shaw is really good right now, but I bet that Mecha'thun might be good in the future. I'd still go Houndmaster Shaw though. It's really strong.
