Dev Comment: Renathal had its run. He’s the most played card in the game and the meta has warped around him for a long time, so we are making this change to open the meta back up.
Ok, but where's the reasonable explanation for the nerf?
It's BS that the meta was warped around this card.
He was just included in many decks with cards which actually warped the meta around them. So what?
He didn't stop anyone from playing any class, deck or archetype (even though some bad aggro players would argue otherwise).
This is by far the most unsatisfying nonexplanation for a nerf i've ever seen.
At the same time, we know he’s one of the most popular cards we’ve ever made, so we wanted to preserve his core effect as an option for his fans.
Oh, how nice of you to preserve the heavily increased draw inconsistency for his fans!
I'm sure they'll have no issues with that since it's the "core effect" of this card and the main reason why they included him in their decks after all.

Without Renathal in this new meta you can't deal against aggro anymore, except if you play a very early deck yourself maybe
No nerf needed

Prince Renathal doesn't need to be nerfed or balanced. It's perfectly fine the way he is. He offers you more health and extra cards but you have to run him first, taking up a deck slot. Plus, extra cards in deck isn't necessarily a boon in all cases. The extra health doesn't matter in this game, due to the prevalence of combo and hyper aggressive decks. Nah, Renathal is a champ in his own regard. Not broken but not quite shite either. Cheers OP!

Thats a new trend? Every card has spelling from some mentally damaged Kid.

I’m pretty sure inappropriate gameplay means playing priest.

I miss the fatigue days of hearthstone honestly

Neptulon is the perfect example of powercreep, because even cards that put out that many stats are useless since you rarely get to play them in normal games since one person is dead by then.
I haven't seen someone play a full costed Onyxia against me in weeks.

Great if you play WoW, worthless otherwise. Thanks for nothing. Truly pathetic.

This isn't great; but it's better than you think it is. Remember, the card is permanent. So even after you cast it as a copy of a minion in your deck it's still in your hand. You're potentially getting multiple copies of minions in your deck, not just one.

Definitely playing the bare minimum in Wild until they address this. They ARE aware of the problem. Sadly changes aren't going to happen until after the upcoming tournament.

The OP is clueless. Renathal is just fine. You've diluted your deck and added an otherwise ho-hum Legendary minion to compensate for the extra ten lives. And I personally like longer give and take games versus early purely aggro ones.

I'm never in favor of nerfing a card into oblivion; but yes, I can see Neptulon being toned down a little. Perhaps losing windfury or have the hand attacking ability only apply to minions.

More like, and so it continues....

[card=golden]Blademaster Okani[/card]. The spell-hungry naga that isn't a naga.

I play exclusively Wild; and most of my Wild decks are Reno. This card could screw up the Reno state of my deck. So unless I find a really compelling reason to add this to my decks I very sadly will ignore this card. It desperately needs Taunt or Rush to make it worthwhile.

I have twelve unopened Mercenaries packs which I can't get rid of because I won't finish the tutorial.

Meanwhile Priest, nowhere to be seen in the championship, was ignored. Sigh.
