Any time Priest gets a decent card they nerf it.
This one doesn't even seem that nice. Feels like it was already pretty average.

Thirsty Drifter is indeed a weird choice for a nerf, considering it's a scam Taunt that's a direct counter-play to the extreme aggro from Paladin and Warlock. Like... What testing did they have that gave this choice merit.
I'm guessing it's because of it it being a free card for Zarimi decks. In which case, ONCE AGAIN, the text should be "... But not less than (1)."
Baffling how they can't grasp that design philosophy.

Yes! That's why i play only fun/interesting decks and I avoid like a plague these tier S decks that everyone plays like the pre-nerfed reno warrior. I would die of boredom.

Competitive is on life support, so unless you plan to finish top 100 there's literally no point in ladder grinding. Other than earning an extra pack or epic, whichever it was, not much reason to grind past diamond5

Imagine my surprise when I see the title, click on it, and it's not Deepminer Brann. You are mistaken, good sir.

Dev Comment: Renathal had its run. He’s the most played card in the game and the meta has warped around him for a long time, so we are making this change to open the meta back up.
Ok, but where's the reasonable explanation for the nerf?
It's BS that the meta was warped around this card.
He was just included in many decks with cards which actually warped the meta around them. So what?
He didn't stop anyone from playing any class, deck or archetype (even though some bad aggro players would argue otherwise).
This is by far the most unsatisfying nonexplanation for a nerf i've ever seen.
At the same time, we know he’s one of the most popular cards we’ve ever made, so we wanted to preserve his core effect as an option for his fans.
Oh, how nice of you to preserve the heavily increased draw inconsistency for his fans!
I'm sure they'll have no issues with that since it's the "core effect" of this card and the main reason why they included him in their decks after all.

Without Renathal in this new meta you can't deal against aggro anymore, except if you play a very early deck yourself maybe
No nerf needed

Prince Renathal doesn't need to be nerfed or balanced. It's perfectly fine the way he is. He offers you more health and extra cards but you have to run him first, taking up a deck slot. Plus, extra cards in deck isn't necessarily a boon in all cases. The extra health doesn't matter in this game, due to the prevalence of combo and hyper aggressive decks. Nah, Renathal is a champ in his own regard. Not broken but not quite shite either. Cheers OP!

Damn. If this is really legit then it's scary. I've been playing since Beta, I have such a large collection that I only play Wild. If I were banned for all the wrong reasons that would be a sad day indeed. No way would I start over, considering the time and expense I have already put into the game. Botting? Heck, I don't even copy decks.
2
Well, I really enjoy this one. Yes, RNG can screw you over. And yes, I resigned twice today because my opponent didn't understand that I was an ally, not an enemy. But I still like the strategy and tactics. And you can play in such a way to mitigate the RNG. Heck, the real game can sometimes be just as infuriating.

My monthly goal is Diamond 5. Oh sure, I've reached Legend every now and then; but I agree, the grind can be too much. Especially by someone like me who never, ever copies a deck and ignores the meta.

Great if you play WoW, worthless otherwise. Thanks for nothing. Truly pathetic.

This isn't great; but it's better than you think it is. Remember, the card is permanent. So even after you cast it as a copy of a minion in your deck it's still in your hand. You're potentially getting multiple copies of minions in your deck, not just one.

Definitely playing the bare minimum in Wild until they address this. They ARE aware of the problem. Sadly changes aren't going to happen until after the upcoming tournament.

The OP is clueless. Renathal is just fine. You've diluted your deck and added an otherwise ho-hum Legendary minion to compensate for the extra ten lives. And I personally like longer give and take games versus early purely aggro ones.

I'm never in favor of nerfing a card into oblivion; but yes, I can see Neptulon being toned down a little. Perhaps losing windfury or have the hand attacking ability only apply to minions.

More like, and so it continues....

[card=golden]Blademaster Okani[/card]. The spell-hungry naga that isn't a naga.
