Yeah, I'm playing the Paladin secret deck some now at D5 and can't even get over a 50% win rate with the deck. Despite all of the crying here about this deck, it has one fatal flaw...it has basically no removal from hand. If you can't stick and buff minions, you basically lose to the entire meta right now. And guess what? The hardest thing to do in Hearthstone these days is to stick some minions given the massive amount of removal that's available. I mean even Face Hunter is running a bunch of removal (that just so happens to conveniently continue on to face).
If people are losing to it at the lower ranks, it's because they haven't learned to play around the secrets. Hey, guess what? Time to learn to play around secrets because it's part of the game and higher ranked players seem to work around them well enough.
Nope, everybody else here is right. The nerf to watchposts was predictable. You shouldn't craft anything in a rotation year until the first nerf patch hits. And you shouldn't craft specialty cards like this if you don't want to see the whole deck nerfed like this. The most notorious example of that, was the nerf last year to Galakrond Rogue...they nerfed a free legendary card that made the entire package of other cards useless. If you want to craft something early, use something that's used in like half a dozen decks and is ripe for nerfing in and of itself...aka Kazakus.
Secrets will still be played even if nerfed because the weapon is there to cast them for you. And if not, they cost 1 and have massive synergy with everything that the Paladin does. They are OP, especially if you look at what other classes have (e.g. other secrets). It feels like for this expansion they only worked on this one class and pretty much forgot about the rest. I am trying to have fun with other decks but just get destroyed. I get it, it's normal, some decks are stronger than others but this one has absolutely no weaknesses.
This is exactly what it was like last year too. It felt like they were balancing the entire meta around Paladin. Whenever a class became more powerful than Paladin, it caught a nerf while Paladin just continued on untouched. There wasn't a single nerf to Paladin last year until the very end when cheese Paladin caught a nerf.
About the only problem I have with mage is how long some of their turns can take. They're like over there playing solitaire with about a million cards, none of which seem very threatening, but it's just boring af waiting for them to finish.
Pure skill. At the end of the day though, I opened 93 packs and hit the exact expected number of legendaries (5). Did a little better on epics 23 to I believe an expected 19.
I agree the grind from Diamond 5 to Legend is the worst. It's probably the most competitive place in HS outside of like top 1000 legend or something. A better solution would be to just keep the win streak bonus and then to boost the amount of stars you get by reaching a rank by 1. I.e., if you hit Legend, you should get 11 stars so you can move through D5-D1 quickly. I don't understand why reaching Legend only gets you 10 stars, requiring you to grind D5 again and again and again.
You know, I'm not convinced this leak is true. It seems on the generous side and Blizz isn't known for their generosity. Of course, I guess we don't know what's in the set yet though. This is only 4 days away though and we haven't had any confirmation from Bliz. Also, the leak says we are getting Anduin next in Book of Heroes and this is different from the data mined order that we'd be seeing the Heroes in.
I would expect the next expansion will be mid-March now, no? Given the way the new Battle Pass works. You think they'll go 5 months of MDF and then cut something else short down the line? I'm not sure they can get away with that given how the Battle Pass loads most of the gold towards the end of the pass.
So, shouldn't we be getting some news on this? The halfway point for MDF is a week away. I want to know if I should keep hoarding these MDF reward packs.
Guess what, a tier one deck is op again...woooooowww....that's neeeeeewww... Stop complaining like kids people ... Just tech oozes and sticky...it's that simple... There will always be one or 2 top tier decks and there will always be people who complain abt it.
Ooze is no answer because of Hoard Pillager. Sticky is a good answer, but for me I just don't have the dust to be spending 800 on two copies of a tech card that will just rotate in 2 months. Hopefully the rotation dulls down Shaman and until then I'll just run quests.
My point is that something has to change, there's just too few decks (if any) that can beat it. They just overwhelm on the board way too quick.
This is really the crux of the problem not just with shaman but with every FOTM for the past few months. There's just no counters to the most popular deck except more cowbell (i.e. play the deck yourself).
I prefer the current agro meta. Reason being is agro decks are way cheaper. If it returns to a balanced meta, it basically means "control" is the best because the decks are way more expensive than the cheaper agro decks. I.e. a balanced meta = a pay to win meta as "rich" players go with control decks and f2p or "poor" players are stuck with agro. I'd change my mind if the game becomes significantly (~10X) cheaper or Bliz can release some cheaper control and mid range decks.

I saw that on mine as well, but it was where it should be by the next login.
