anojnira posted a message on New Hunter Card Reveal - Rat TrapPosted in: NewsThe Question is How would you Make an opponent Play Three Cards.
Against Control = No options
Against Aggro = May be but Hunter does not have board clears to clear the board so the opponent aggressively Fills the Board again.
Against Combo = Yeah Good Card , But if they are already doing the Combo then what's the point.
But against Rouge = Definitely an A+ Card.My Knowledge is limited so this is what i think. Maybe this card is really good . Who knows :)

It is, but it doesn't tell you that.

I'm happy to see this happen, just wish it happened a few months ago! I'm worried that this might not fix what was wrong with the quest, but I think we're likely to see fewer people play it.
I always hated playing these rogues. 50% of the time they didn't have their cards and I won rather easily. The other 50% of the time there was no possible way I could effectively counter their play and they pulled off the quest with me doing virtually nothing. Non-interactive gameplay is neither compelling or fun. Raising the number to five doesn't necessarily fix this.

I think we're getting a Darkmoon Faire related expansion. Why? No clue - just throwing it out there!

Really strong comments from Ben here. I think a lot of people have certain allusions on an online tournament mode that just wouldn't work out well in real life - at least the idea of a closed bracket group relying on pre-set matchups and being held hostage to player availability. I do think tournament modes and tools to setup tournaments (preferably for a bunch of players in a Fireside Gathering format) are sorely needed, but they will only benefit a small percentage of players which is why Team 5 has probably held off working on them.
That said, this weekend I had one of the coolest Hearthstone experiences of my life. I've never been able to play the game face-to-face with my opponent, and I managed to pull that off the other day. I went to a wedding with my wife; it was one of her more distant cousins, so I was prepared for an evening of not knowing anyone there and having to force my way through awkward conversation until the warm, soothing embrace of alcohol helped things out. The first sign that things would be different was during the Best Man speech where, in typical roast-fashion, the groom was called-out for his love of CCGs - a comment that went unnoticed by most of the crowd who probably had no idea what that even was. At the end of the speech, the best man offered to host a quick Fireside Gathering in the bar (which, conveniently had a fireplace) if the bride was willing to give up her husband for fifteen minutes.
Needless to say, I excused myself from my wife, ordered up a white Russian, and introduced myself to a room full of guys 20 years younger than me and had a great freaking time. I also schooled them hard :)

The time of Priest is finally here. And it is glorious.

Man, there's a whole bunch of stuff I'd like to see.
Class Highlights - some kind of mechanism to stress using a particular class, maybe on a weekly set. One week might be rogue focused and all wins with that class yield extra gold (maybe 20 per 3 wins). The chosen class should be random by user to prevent too many people from playing the same damn deck all at once.
Achievements - but not what you're thinking. As a mechanism to help newer players flesh out their classic set, I'd have achievements that result in earning certain legendaries. Things like, 'finish an opponent 20 times with a card with Charge to earn Leeroy Jenkins' - that kind of stuff. Stress learning certain combos, game mechanics, and class archetypes and, at the same time, help players get those cards they may be missing. It's all a great way to help the new player experience.
Event Cards - I love the occasional one-off card that's not necessarily part of a set. Seeing a new card for Winter Veil, maybe one that addresses certain meta concerns, would have been a lot of fun. Keep on with the special events, but add some cards, too. We like cards. Cards in a card game are good. Especially when a single new card can shake the game up a little when it gets stale between sets.

Dammit... I just want to get Rafaam so I don't have to play this damn one again. I have yet to get him after trying 9 times.

After a small sample-size of three games, I'm inclined to agree.
Rafaam - you get a virtually free legendary EVERY turn!
Kel - you get a random card from a set.

While your mileage will vary depending on the rules, Tavern Brawls can be a great way to take care of daily quests, too.
