That's a pretty good inclusion, I didn't think of that. I'm trying it out right now at Legend and wishing that I had that card so I could tech it in, deck is still super fun without it though.

The key differences to this list being the definite inclusion of Stargazer Luna and the lack of Apexis SmugglerApexis Smuggler seems like a great inclusion, a lot of times I felt like I needed a certain spell to close out the game but my hand was full of cards like Fireball and Secrets. Hit Legend with a 59% winrate, but maybe that would've been helped by Smuggler? Hard to say, but this seems pretty cool.

You can, but it's a Cult Sorceror is much cheaper for essentially the exact same effect. No one's going to craft a legendary for a Tavern Brawl, and even if they did they'd never draw Solarian Prime in time for it to actually matter since this deck is so fast.

I'm Diamond 3 in Wild, and played a little bit of ladder today with a deck that specifically wants to beat Mage. It's absolutely still viable, you just have to be more careful with your resources. For example, now that Open the Waygate is 8 spells and not 6, you need to really plan ahead and predict what your opponent is going to do because you can't get your quest done as easily. Mana Cyclone and Flamewaker are still easily the stars of this deck, allowing you to pop off in combination with Sorcerer's Apprentice to remove the need for the quest reward in some games altogether. The deck's most unfair moments seem like they're when you can both pop off with those cards AND complete the quest super quickly in one turn, and this nerf hopefully remedied that. So TL;DR, yes it's still viable but it's not nearly as unfair in my very limited testing, I might be wrong but it seems like it's a strong deck that's no longer overtuned.

This is interesting, since I'm Diamond 3 Wild on NA and haven't had a chance to try the nerfs out yet. My prediction that you didn't cover here is that Even Shaman becomes a lot better. Now that the Druid combo is one turn later, Odd Demon Hunter no longer has Altruis and the Mage quest is a little more delayed, the deck seems like it has more room to breath and pop off before the opponent either kills you or hits their big combo turn. I'll be trying it out and see how well my theory holds up.

Even though I started playing in beta, the launch I best remember is when Un'Goro launched, no one had any idea what was going on and the rotation made the game extremely fresh and fun again. Quests were insanely fun (except Rogue, ick), there were cheap viable aggro decks again for the first time in a long while, and tons of experimentation occurred with cards like Finja that everyone thought was terrible. It felt like a renaissance for the game, and I feel like streams like this take all that fun and hand it over to streamers who already play a ton of Hearthstone anyways. Now, as soon as the expansion launches, tons of older players like me will be coming back to decently full collections of older cards due to the free deck and Hall of Fame, everyone else will be able to just netdeck their way through the new rank system to get lots of packs and dust, and all of the fun experimentation will be next to impossible versus already solved decks and whatever the most popular aggro flavor is (seems like it's Dragon Hunter right now, but I haven't played the game in months so don't quote me on that).

I don't think anyone dislikes watching it, it's the timing of it that's awful. The meta gets solved really quickly if 16 really smart people get to sit down and work on decks live against each other.

Closing your eyes doesn't stop the meta from being solved, the game will still become stale faster and not watching the stream does nothing.
