I think this is another quest (similair to shaman) where the pay off for the individual objectives matters more than the actual questline reward.

While i still have to see if drawing that many cards in a single turn is going to be 'easy' for demon hunter, getting a 4 or potentially 9 mana reduction for the small price of one mana is not something to scoff at

In wild there is a 'rare' minion called 'stitched tracker', it costs one less mana and discovers a card from your deck without requiring to trade a card.

Of course this card can discover more than 1, but then again thats going to cost you 1 mana extra per card and requires you to save up on your tradable cards.

All in all, this card really should have been an epic...

Unless there is going to be a good "pay off" card that synergizes with the amount of trades you made this turn or game i don't really see this making an impact.

You really need a trade based deck for this card to not just be a vanilla statted minion in most scenarios, and for that either the trade cards need to be better or the mechanic needs to be stronger.

In wild handlock (running giants) is actually quite strong and common.

This card is another pay off for their playstyle and not to mention it is even, which means genn is in play here (1 mana hero powers)

Now granted this is wild and most people play standard. No matter the format, Warlock is good at drawing cards. And no matter the deck, a four mana card that summons an overstated minion is bound to make an impact when played on curve.

Its an even cost card too, that means another threat to deal with for 'even handlock' in wild

But you dont have to deal with the massive tempo loss of the base forms, only with this card (which granted is a small tempo loss itself)

I dont really agree with the "warlock having 'control issues' right now" thing but i guess its not as good as it used to be.

All in all the card is not really comparible to the prime bases since this gives you tripple the reward (increased chances) and has better stats than most prime bases.

Pure chance at first, but during testing i used priest and 'steal' effects.

I realize now that mage using mana bind could be more consistent.

I just realized this might also interact this way with other 'spell casting spells' like puzzlebox of yogg saron but i will test this tomorow!

posted a message on Solar eclipse & Kazakus glitch!

My buddy and i discovered a very strange and unontentional interaction between the new Druid card Solar Eclips and the custom spell created by the wild card Kazakus.

Rather than casting the spell twice like Solar Eclipse states it casts it 4 times!

We think this is due to some janky coding because rather than casting the entire spell 4 times it actually distinctuates the chosen effects for the spell by casting the first chosen effect twice, then the second chosen effect twice and repeating this once. (So if you took 'deal 5 damage' and 'gain 7 armor' as the spell's effects it would play out like this: damage-damage-armor-armor- -damage-damage-armor-armor)

This is obviously not intentional but since kazakus is a wild card not even available for druid trough normal means it makes sense this got through playtesting

posted a message on What new cards are you still hoping for?

I'm really hoping for some new value weapon for rogue like necrium blade or cutlass to go with the new warrior/rogue legendary.

Maybe something that synergyzes with stealth minions or gives stealth for a turn after attacking, although the later  sounds a bit insane bundled with the weapon man.

I dont think the problem with bazaar burglary is the win condition since dealing 3 every turn is pretty descent and wears most opponents down quick. Its actually finding oppurtunities that justify the weapon going face that is the problem.

Thief Rogue needs some more board control tools aside from blade flurry, but since actual boardclears are against the class identity maybe some more secrets or betreyal effects?

posted a message on Studies Cards: Predictions?

I disagree with rogue getting a combo, it will be too easy to fetch and play since the concept of a study (costing 1) and emediately reducing the combo cards by 1 synergyzes too well with itself. I think its more likely that rogue will get a disguise study that focuses on either stealth minion or cards from another class.

If you want to gst balsy you can even say rogue or warrior will get a weapon study but i think its unlikely.

posted a message on Mechanic Question

Cabal shadow priest is a permanent steal, whereas the madness cards give you control for 1 turn. The folks at blizzard figured that stealing a minion and then attacking with it is too big of a tempo swing but also figured that the only way you could get full advantage out of a minion stolen for a turn would be alowing to attack imediately.

The way the madness cards work is they actually give the stolen minion charge! Players figured this out with a card from loe which gained charge after copying a madness spell on itself.

To be fair tho the devs at blizzard (as disconected from the meta as they may seem, they still make the game you play) have said multiple times that they are afraid of what the stealth keyword can do if it really gets the chance to shine and be opresive
