There is also the other issue of actual average quality being a lot higher. Core set is a lot stronger than before, and even pack fillers in recent expansions have powercrept cards that have seen play in past metas. Amalgam is so consistent, you always get something usable. Just look at pirate warrior, they focused so much on giving it a good tribal deck that it feels like a 6-set meta deck, consistency-wise.
Wild being 'wild' is no reason to let it be a trashfire, and nerfing things like sniplock or banning stuff shows there IS a limit even in the devs' eyes. If they will touch switcheroo/ kael druid remains to be seen, odds probably aren't bad.
As for this 'tech' people speak of, there is no way they leave 2 12-12s with rush in standard that early. Even the most common switcheroo nerf idea to only swap health will still feel crappy to play against with a bless follow-up. I doubt they want to encourage a tech meta when they are pushing so hard for tribal decks, their consistency suffers a lot more from having to run tech compared to a lot of other decks.
Nerfing isn't only driven by stats, but by crappy play patterns. Barnes is a decent example, it wasn't even meta anymore when it got smacked down. And switcheroo makes for crappy games in standard and outright stupid games in wild.
This serves to remind everyone that this information is unavailable in the actual game client. How hard is it to add a small button with changelogs, news and what not? HS has existed for so many years...
Wouldn't mind it, but you being so hell-bent on countering amalgam, that's just ... Weird. Would've expected actual pirate hate, eating amalgam AFTER it discovered doesn't even accomplish that much, it's a 2mana 2-3 at that point.
Idea probably is fine for Kaz, just like that other idea of 'if you played 5 dragons this game' or w/e.
This removing counterplay to HL decks is a bad idea. If you want to limit HL usage in power draw decks, figure out something else. I partly agree because I remember Zeph in zoolock for Bloodlust for example, and it was pretty stupid.
I assume because there isn't such a counter for other cards, game doesn't count how many spells you play while Bolner is in your hand, so when you Bolner-queen counter is non-existent or 0, thus battlecry condition is not met for Bolner himself? Just a guess.
Meta was just as varied AND less polarized before Onyxia's Lair. That period right after rogue got nerfed, we had one of the healthiest and diverse metas in a long time.
Kaz won't be as healthy for the meta Kaz warrior gets decent replacement tools for what it loses.
It's a lot about the context too, the space around Kazakusan right now, with druid having 20mana and doubling spells for example. Or Jambre's quest Kaz DH with sentinels, doing some stupid things in a single turn.
Have to wait for the rotation and that's it for now. I'm guessing if there is fast refinement and we get a similar situation they will smack Kaz down so it becomes the bottleneck for these Turbo decks.

Yeah but you also probably shouldn't allow 2 12-12s with rush on turn 4 in standard? You know, as a rule of thumb?

Wait so you think Kaz's biggest issue is that he extends fatigue? Are you for real?

Don't think legacy cards drops from any packs, have to be crafted?

There was a nerf server side because of its interaction in a rogue OTK. It is a 3mana 2-4 now.
