The payoff is purely psychological. Even if pressing the button every turn to gain 50 armor and attack won't win you the game, it will force your opponent into a state of terror and submission

DoktorPhill posted a message on New Hearthstone Expansion: Festival of Legends - April Release DatePosted in: NewsI remember back in the day when they removed the 'Enrage' keyword and gave the reasoning that too many keywords was confusing to players, and I thought that was such a stupid reason because who could possibly be stupid enough not to just take 5 seconds to learn a new keyword. You could even just experiment once and figure it out. Heck, descriptions of keywords even pop up whenever you hover over a card.
Look who we found..

Huh, so reborn paladin is gonna be a thing maybe? Except it has to end up being better than having a upgraded hero power. Well let's wait and see. I'm definitely hyped seeing paladin take another direction after just OTK and Mechs.

I would assume Fire Festival starts mid July as usual. No official statements tho.

I made these 2 changes - Dirty Rat × 2 + Deathlord x 2 and - Toxic Arrow + N'Zoth, the Corruptor

Lmao wouldn't have seen it if you didn't point it out. It's extremely similar, they literally just changed the color scheme and made it look a little different. Guess this is truly Rise of Reprints in more than just one way.

Oblivitron + Sneed's Old Shredder= HELL YEAH

I don't see how Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk is on your list, it's Ragnaros brought back to standard but only for Mage with a condition added to keep it balanced and it's ALWAYS Ragnaros, no random shit there. Also I think cards that don't add anything to your hand but put them on the field (Confessor Paletress, Sneed's Old Shredder, Rotface) are rather fun to play with since they can and often do offer a secondary win condition and have Highroll potential. Besides that, I think they are great designed cards and are very flavorful for what they represent (Sneeds Shredder kicks out his "driver" and so on). I get that you don't like that they just printed Golden Monkey 2.0 without a fun condition and a lot of people are salty about that but value generating cards are often very helpful for control decks and do more than you think.

"funny" addition: they don't change up their decklist or update their bot right after a patch. Best example: the Pirate warrior bots ALWAYS tried to drag Patches to your face because it thought he still had charge so they freeze in that action and don't do anything else until the turn ends or the Even Shaman Bots didn't get their 1 mana Hero power because they still played Flametongue Totem about 1 week after the nerfs.

Umm nope, it has ways to deal with all of that. "vs meme greedy decks" you should win on board with Demon synergy and Bloodreaver Guld'Dan + N'Zoth boards that should outvalue every "meme" deck. "No win con vs endless value" what deck are you talking about, be more specific. Jade Druid (or any infinite deck really) can be beaten with this combo once they shuffle cards into their deck: (Emperor Thaurissan proc on everything) Brann(2 mana)+ Gnomeferatu(1)+ Zola(2) on the Gnomeferatu+ Gnomeferatu(2)+ Gnomeferatu (2). This will burn 6 cards from their deck. If you just need to survive fatigue and abuse Bloodreaver Gul'Dan hero power play Brann+Baleful Banker on Brann+ Zola on Baleful Banker. This will leave you with an infinite deck by playing Brann+ Banker on Brann and Banker on Banker. "or burn face dmg"... just draw Rotten Applebaum, Reno Jackson or Healbot and play Baleful Banker/Zola on it as well if you feel like it, really this shouldn't be an issue. Vs Combo decks just pray of Brann+ Dirty Rat or Gnomeferatu. Honestly Renolock is incredibly strong and you're just playing it wrong.
