Mech Hunter was never a good deck. Sure, it can snowball some wins with early Mechs into Metaltooth Leaper but that's about it. It was Tier 4 on rank4+ according to the last VS report already.
No idea about the low ranks, but in the ranks of 4 to Legend Wild is way faster than Standard. Combo Druid heavily shapes the meta around it, invalidating most of the slow decks.
You don't need to dust all Wild cards to play standard. If you're really tight on dust, you can find a middle ground and dust some of the useless old legendaries that won't see any play, like Maexxna, Prince Malchezaar, Arch-Thief Rafaam and the legendaries from BRM that aren't Emperor.
At rank 7-6 right now I'm only facing 3 decks: SA druid, renolock, and even shaman.
I got legend on Wednesday and those three deck were everything on rank 3 and above. Playing slow decks with double Dirty Rat still feels like a gamble against combo druid. And against Even Shaman the rat is a dead card most of the time, because you can't risk giving them a free Flamewreathed Faceless or Sea Giant.
Ultimately I decided to played Even Shaman myself, because asking questions that demand immediate answers is better than to be reactive with tons of situational useful cards. But it's such a boring and unrewarding deck.
I think Rexxar on 8 was a misplay because it was too slow and the two shots at fishing for an Ironbeak Owl-Zombeast didn't pay off.
Push for 10 damage, Play Dead plus play Mossy Horror puts another 17 attack onto the board. Next turn you would have hunter's mark + DK Rexxar against their taunt, trade into Dragon Catcher and push 22 damage to face. You got him down to 15 and this line does a lot more extra damage.
After a year of playing tryhard Wild only I got Legend in Standard again this weekend. Used Odd Control Warrior until rank one some stars, then slowly declined back to rank 2 because there was not just enough aggro to prey upon and slow matchups are mostly bad. Swaped to Kathrena-Cube Hunter for slow but steady climb.
... and 'surprisingly' it's not Reno Decks that counter it.
3) Check your facts regarding to Big Priest playability and its winrate against the other popular decks.
5) Go to hsreplay and check Barnes' winrate in Spellhunter. Btw, Rhok'delar isn't included in a good builds because Barnes and Y'Shraaj are the better no minion payoff. That says all about Barnes' strength.
Dude we are talking about this topic in every thread dedicated to this.
Oh, I just found it amusing that you refer to statistics and meta reports if they support your point and totally ignore or even cite them falsely if they don't.
2) This uncounterable big bad evil Priest has actually counters "suprisingly". So I'm using your point against you to show that it has counterplays and not only in Control decks: Scroll to the Matchup Win rates

5) Even if big priest is the only wild competive priest deck (which I think it is) It's still too strong with Barnes. Midrange shaman was the only viable shaman deck during WoToG (unless you count aggro shaman, which I don't) but the deck was still far too strong.
Aggro Shaman was better than Midrange in WotoG. Midrange Shaman only rose to the god tiers after the Yogg Nerf Patch which was some time in Kazazhan already.
I haven't yet reach legend. So let's see your answer :
Warlock: Brann+Kazakus+Zola, Brann+Gnomeferatu+Zola, N'Zoth, Guldan, Sylvannas+Shadowflame, Twisting Neither, you can put Baleful Banker somewhere there too. Guldan's Hero Power is pretty good, Removal is not so bad.
As I said earlier : I play all these but Banker, and when you don't draw said cards, even with aggressive mulligan, you're toast. So your answer basically reads as : "get some talent and luck, N00B". Thanks.
There is a reason why having Barnes in mulligan increases Big Priest's winrate by ~19% according to HSreplay.
Ways to beat Big Priest as Reno-X: Shadow Essence into Barnes, Neither Shadow Essence nor Barnes. More greedy late game and Big Priest can't pressure you with a cheated out statue. You notice a trend? Yep, this does not depend on you doing anything but rather Big Priest's deck failing to do what it is supposed to.
Basically you are exactly in the same boat as someone who started new and has no cards at all, except it's much harder for you to make progress as golden cards are more expensive. So look out for some budget guide, this one doesn't look too bad: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1131455-guide-budget-combo-priest
Sorry for your bad performances. Played 14-7 with it this season, including my last two games today for rank 53 legend with 40mins to go. Overall 69-34 with it since I made the deck in December.
So it is basically 50% winrate. Does it sound for you like a Barnes on turn 4 every game? Doest sound for you like Barnes highrolling either Rag or Y'Shaarj instead od Obsidian Statue which is really mediocre against Control even on early turns? The Big Priest that I've played had a little bit higher winrate after tweaks that I've made.
Neither reading comprehension nor math seem to be your strong suit. Discussing with someone who changes all facts to his liking is futile. I am out of this.

I think Evenlock with Glinda Crowskin can do this better. Just Baleful Banker her with echo and you can set up two boards of 6 Molten Giant later.

Half of the WotoG and all newer cards are missing from my collection on Hearthpwn.
Edit: It works again.

Btw, all the Barnes counterplay listed above (Polymorph, Hex, Potion of Madness) does not beat Barnes into YShraaj into something big.

Nope. Garrison Commander says twice a turn, not an additional time.
