Your reading comprehension really sucks man, he said 30 cards, nowhere in there was the expresion "basic cards" he basically meant that a competitive deck is only 30 cards that you can achieve by just crafting.
Oh my god, so many things; succubus, floating watcher, trogzor and unstable portal to name a few, i'm also eager to try the clockworm gnome and and Antonidas spare part deck, i mean if i have enough generation before Antonidas comes into play maybe i'll be able to have a finicky cloak field part reserved for him.
you are unable to perform actions in your opponent turn and viceversa, your turn is an untouchabble temple where you have to worry about nothing but Future actions and not what might happen during it, there are no instants, no trap cards, no quick action cards, no Manually triggered effects, No tapping effects, nothing that can destabilize a player on their own turn, and that's where Rng must come into play, otherwise the game wouldn't have depth.
As an example explosive sheep in mtg would look something like this Costs 2 colorless Mana Type:Creature Artifact
1/1
Effect 2R and tap: sacrifice explosive sheep and deal to damage to all minions. if you are unfamiliar with it, Mtg allows you to activate creature's effects in the opponent's turn as response to actions performed by your opponent, thus sheep would be an AMAZING card in Mtg while in hs it's just an above aveage card which barely scratches the surface of "good"
edit: Sure some people will say but there are secrets, well secrets have 3 problems, the owner only has control on when to play it from hand and not on when to activate them (who'd activatemirror entity on an acolyte of pain or mad scienist knowing that Cairne or Sylvannas is comming?) , the secret pool is small and only 3 out of the 9 classes have access to them 2 if you count that paladins secrets are not that great granting that when you play against a pally with a secret it will probably be noble sac,
the problem with Arena is that HS follow sthe simple equation of time=Money, the time i'm spending in Arena gaining 50 gold of value is much more than the time i actually get 100 gold in constructed, so seeing it on a purely economically viable eprspective Arena is worthless unless you spend real money in the entrance.
yes you can, this is the only TCG with a model as lenient as it can get, the other one with a similar model is MTg where players that are oficially registered get a "salary" where once every month they get shipped of 2 or 3 packs by wizards themselves as long as you have been participating in events like friday night and present your registry card, ofc that depends on the blasted local where i used to play was frequently visited by players that stole the wizard of the coast ids from others so that thy could have more packs i received a decent amount of packs before my id was stolen i must say but would've never been able to receive as many packs as i've gotten in HS in a similar amount of time.
He still prevents letal from spells and gives you the turn you may need to either stabilize or win wich actually happens quite often, you also have to remember that spare parts are spells and Loatheb is able to put a hindrance in your opponent no matter what.
For the moment keep playing normally, start playing arena in december 8; the reason is now that GVG comes out Arena will reward GVg packs, some people seem this like a negative but it's a frigging swee tpositive, the reason is that if they keep the same rarity pull rate as classic packs getting dust from them will be eaiser and faster since the set only contains 124 cards meaning you will get a lot of copies of cards faster than with classic packs.
The deal is simple. Classes that had a good Legendary got a crappy one and vice-versa: Tirion/Bolvar, Alakir/Neptulon etc.
Cenarius/Malorne, Jaraxxus/Mal'ganis ??
*Bolvar cries*
WHile i love Antonidas and have a lot of fun playing with him he's not In Tirion's, gromash's or Alak'irs league, hell he may be even out of Cenarius league, so your explanation doesn't justify Flame Leviathan.
F2P Handlock can't exist, it's the same for F2P druid of ramp or F2P war control, it doesn't make any sense. :)
Hello i'm a F2p palyer, never spent a dime in the game and have a kitkatz control warrior Card by card (xcept for Cairne, wich i don't own and use Feuggen as filler replacement for him), so i say eff it F2p Handlock can exist if the Op is dedicated enough, in fact with the 2k dust i have at the moment i am able to just go and craft Jaraxus which is the only card i'm lacking to complete a handlock deck.
i started my free arena run today but i'm planning on Ending it when the expansion comes out so that i get a free GVG pack maybe 2 if i'm lucky with my run, do i still get a classic pack if i end the run after december 8th?
Don't know what to pick between this three, it's also the first pick i'm inclined ot pick toshley but feugen may be better.
Edit: ended up picking toshley and then got this.. o_O
edit 2: second pick was SYlvannas although now that i think about it i guess that in a random cse shredder would have been able to grant me SYlvannas, Yseras, Rag or the new Op Trog thing that summons stuff when your opponent cast a spell because with GVG and the nature of the deathrattle effect the Pool of good legends far surpasses the pool of bad legends.

Hearthstone needs Rng for one simple reason

Well at least you'll have dust to craft what you want :).
