I have a feeling Spark Drill isn’t as bad/unusable as the consensus indicates. It has more synergies than people might realize. Toxmonger, The Marsh Queen, Reckless Experimenter, Elemental decks, and even token decks in general.
Another unsung factor to Murloc Paladin's success is that turn 1 Vilefin Inquisitor > turn 2 Rockpool Hunter is the strongest turn 2 tempo play in the game right now. The power of other turn 2 plays, especially after the War Axe nerf, don't come nearly as close and it shows. The 2-mana and 7-mana minion slot both need a renaissance this upcoming year.
The effect is definitely not worth it in today's current meta. Helps Big Druid ramp and dump their hand, gives Razakus Priest free cycle and ammunition for Voidform, and comes at a crucial point that accelerates a Bonemare turn if an opposing midrange deck can kill it immediately. Rogue also gets combo activations for free, which can be terrifying.
It's better than Hungry Dragon because it doesn't immediately negate its own stat advantage with that darn 1-drop. It's also a notable pre-emptive minion before an opposing Scalebane on 5, a rare early minion that can trade and survive against it. Also, the fact that it's a Deathrattle and not a Battlecry means you can properly take advantage of the extra stats this time, and if it survives for at least a couple of turns, the tempo disadvantage from giving a midrange deck two coins becomes much less harsh.
Overall, it's not the card's fault that it's bad, it's the fact that this meta in particular is really, really bad for it.
I like how Shaman is so far considered to have simultaneously the best and worst legendaries of the set. I personally think Runespear is less bad than people give it credit for, but I do understand the disdain.
Given the triggers we've seen so far and the effects they have, I think Warlock's will be a powerful healing spellstone, triggered by playing demons. We haven't seen a spellstone that heals yet, and it's doubtful that Priest would receive that one. I have this strange hunch that Hunter is going to get the AOE one instead of Warlock.
Fantastic card, has a lot of existing synergies and increases deck consistency. Current Play Dead Hunter would probably cut a Highmane to run this, no joke. Supports slower lists as well.

So, Mind Vision reprint 3x and Slam for Mages. Why bother?

I would've loved to see Dr. Boom pilot his own face in the final game, but the final version's cool too, I guess.

I think tictactucroc is gonna sue somebody...

They do! They’re 3 mana 2/2s that themselves split into 2 1/1s each upon death.

PCGames actually revealed 2 more cards as well; check the bottom of the article.

Nope. My Un'Goro packs did not yield a legendary. I got lucky with both Kobold Warrior legendaries and Frost Lich Jaina, but no dice with Un'Goro.

Hilariously, that Purify C'Thun Priest still works in this brawl. Just trade out the Eerie Statue for Humongous Razorleaf and 40 dust can be yours!

Well.
Turns out Priest is going to be pretty good in this expansion.
