Anti-synergy with n'zoth hunter unless you specifically built for some kind of kamikaze finisher.

At first I thought about Exploding Bloatbat 6-mana boardclear, but there is condition "if it survives"...

Hound master, perhaps? Trade it and clear the board with its poisonous effect.
There's always handbuff, too, but I think hunter is the least likely to see value out of that.

posted a message on New Hero Card Revealed! - Malfurion the Pestilent

Wild mill druid says hello. Three armor a turn is insane - better than justicar's Dire shapeshift in some ways - and the battlecry to create taunts is decent for the deck's gameplan.

I absolutely think that this card is good enough to be playable or very good. But I don't think that the effect is exactly meta defining.

If this card turns out to be good it will absolutely turn out the be tier 1.

The hero power won't likely see completion unless the deck is specifically geared toward it, but it is fantastic for control decks who don't want to run the dude or murloc package as just a plain token. Having a 2/2 every turn that the player HAS to deal with is incredibly powerful.

posted a message on Druid and Paladin Death Knights Revealed + More!

Both of these cards are absolutely sick.

I think everyone was waiting on the paladin knight and I'm glad to see that they delivered - both thematically and power-wise. I absolutely love this card.

My only hope is that they go back and give these knights secret interactions in naxxramas - Malfurion the Pestilent versus Heigan the Unclean would be legendary.

With all of these early drops I'm starting to wonder if an aggro/zoo priest is no longer a meme...

Definitely an interesting tech card to fight for board early.

posted a message on Raza or Tirion?

It honestly depends on your dust economy. If you have the resources to craft legendaries regularly? Raza. If not, Tirion.

Tirion is classic and likely will never rotate, so it stays in both standard and wild play. Raza will eventually leave standard leaving you down a legendary you can slot in your arsenal unless you travel to wild with the deck you intend to play with him.

It's the feeling I get when facing just about any priest in wild. I've had to take out my tirion and lightlord just out of pure fure of getting them constantly stolen and having Anduin, the 8-year old boy with a 543 mm nanopenis exclaim, "WOW", THE LIGHT SHALL BURN YOU!. OH STFU IMMA STICK A ROD UP YOUR WOWOWOW ASS.

     ...You measured? :kappapride:
I'm just messin with you man. I'm a priest player myself, seen my fair share of salt and giggles from both sides of the table. I dunno how you're piloting your deck, unless it's straight up dude aggro without at least tirion in it. Maybe running stonehill so it goes to hand instead of your deck would be easier? Priest has LOTS of ways to go into your deck, the only spell they have for your hand is mind vision, which is kind of uncommon.

This is my first post on this particular topic, so hello to all my fellow HS players.  I just want to say a few words to all the Paladins across all servers: you got the best legendaries and the best buffs.  Fuck all of you.  A dedicated Priest.  Thank you, I feel better alreaedy.  :)

Haha, love the irony in this post. ARE YOU MAD YOUR CLASS HAS THE SHITTIEST FÛCKING WORTHLESS LEGENDARIES AS COMPARED TO PALADIN? MAD YOUR OP AND ANNOYING AF ENTOMB IS GONE? PLAY A BETTER CLASS THAT ACTUALLY DOESN'T HAVE TO RESORT TO SUCH RETARDED METHODS SUCH AS STEALING COPIES OF CARDS THE PRIEST CLASS OR GARBAGE CLASS COULD EVER DREAM OF. LONG LIVE THE REIGN OF JUSTICE AND LIGHT. FOR UTHER LIGHTBRINGER!
What the actual fuck, dude. Tell us how you REALLY FEEL.

posted a message on Should The Priest DK Hero Power Have Been Resurrect?

I had kinda wished it would be something a bit more intriguing on the battlecry effect since a mass death effect is very...vanilla, however useful. Or, honestly, that Anduin would have retained at least some of his holy ability as a death knight like Sir Zeliek did. Lorewise it makes me think that maybe his faith in the Light is not as strong as it should be...

I think a choose one type ability that determined his battlecry/hero power would have been more interesting and flexible for people who aren't sold by the shadowreaper as he stands now. Like if the "light" version simply took on the aspect of a discipline priest and cast a holy nova or spirit lash effect that works like defile, recasting itself until it failed to kill a target and resurrecting killed targets on your side of the board in exchange for discarding your hand. Your hero power becomes passive, and gives a card that lasts until end of turn, regenerating each turn. The card reads, "(3) Give a minion lifesteal until end of turn."

I mean I'm just blowing smoke here, but with shadowreaper anduin seemingly targetting mid-lategame why not an anduin that punishes early-mid? It's an insane board swing, but you rely on the minions you stole with the battlecry to end the game. If the board is cleared your hero power is almost useless unless you pair with a cheeky embrace the shadows effect and charge a minion into an opponent's minion you cast it on.

I'd just like to see a priest that's not dragon related fight for the board.

posted a message on What do you think about ice block (POLL)
    Quote from brilliant_gnome >>
    Quote from Imvutaen >>

I say rotate it. It's been a staple of mage decks long enough to HoF it and gives mage something new to work with. I feel like the card by itself enables a lot of long standing archetypes that rely WAY too much on its existence.

I won't say that it's not fun to play against, because it's not like you can't play against it, but I feel like it's been mage's Azure Drake for the past few metas. But I feel like the reason they rely on it is because they suffer becoming like warlock or rogue who seriously buckle under pressure from lack of sustain.

Without the freeze/burn line of gameplay they really don't have a solid win condition aside from the ancient "play big stuff" method, which as we've seen with the lack of elemental mages, isn't really working for them. They need more deck archetypes or tools to enable something other than a super lategame combo like quest or freeze. Even secret mage relies on iceblock because their draw RNG can completely screw them.

Not saying to bring flamewaker bullshit back, but they need something.

Actually no, it hasn't been a staple of mage decks. It's been a staple of freeze mage, which has been a rare sight the last 2 expansions. Only in this meta has it made it's way into other decks because control mage and secret mage has gotten competitive. Reno mage has been semi-viable and pushed into good in wild now.
So that is a wrongful claim. If you compare it something like innervate, ice block has actually been a rather rare card for it's class on ladder in HS history.
The most common mage decks in the past has been tempo-mage / mech mage... neither of which has any use for ice-block.
And half this thread is whining for people who claim ice-block cheats them out of a win when they had lethal. They. Didn't. Have. Lethal.  If the majority of the discussion can't even get beyond that very basic fact, most of  it has no merit.

I'm not here to join in the circle jerk of OMFG ITS BRKN PLZ FX. You can relax...there's no need. I'm a standard player and don't really play mage, so I'll concede I don't know every minutiae about them and their matchups.
But the fact that freeze mage as an archetype has been one of the longest standing decks BECAUSE of this card is more what I'm getting at. It could be argued that alex is the backbone in addition to this, but I think that ice block enables the deck moreso than alex does if you potentially have a free turn to ignore your own defense and lob everything you got at their face per ice block you play.
Both mech and waker mage were tempo decks - something that hasn't graced mage in standard in a long time. In fact, since GvG and waker rotated afaik - they weren't usually included because they didn't need it when they could just kill you by turn 7 or so. It was more of a tech card against decks that had burn from hand like overload shaman. Since that rotation, whenever mage has risen to prevalence it's been with iceblock - even when reno mage was decent it was included.
My desire to rotate it doesn't stem from the stance that it's broken, but that it stymies deck innovation in the class when freeze mage *currently* is the benchmark to beat for mage. If elemental, dragon or n'zoth mage take off with the coming expansion I'll be glad to eat my words. But I picture that quest and freeze will still largely remain in the picture.
