As for your deck, I'm not sure if the pyros are good, hysteria seems better. A draconic studies might be better than the dragons. Double ooze might be too much. One ooze might even be, depending on what you play against. It's possible you might need to try seperating c'thun and nzoth into two different decks. Maybe you're missing a card that's pretty good for your deck like veilweaver or hysteria or illucia or something.

On a different note, I'm sure you prefer making your own decks but there was a no minion c'thun priest I saw. Not a very good winrate but probably decent into druid. It's just all the good priest cards and board clears, which you're running most of already. And also you might be able to fit a high priestess abara + idol of y'shaarj combo into a n'zoth deck but it also just might not be very good.

There's been many many other op, rampant, noninteractive decks in the past. The part that's gotten worse with hearthstone is the amount of people that only play the strongest decks. That happens with every game though and it's been like this with hearthstone for a bit. If your deck is bad into the meta then you'll probably have a bad time. Either you need to adapt to make your deck better into them or you just might have to start playing a better deck for the meta. It's going to be pretty hard to build a deck that's good against most of the optimized most played decks

Was very easy to find some rogues to test this out on. First game I didn’t draw great and should’ve waited a turn to time out so he got off the hook early. The second game I got a hidden wisdom to assure I could play every single time out. The pogo rogue went through many different phases where at some point they tried playing cards, most of the time they ended their turn right away but after a bit they even roped me for a couple of turns. Unsurprisingly I didn’t win that game, but it was still a moral victory. Made a pogo rogue win only a single game in 40 minutes when he easily could’ve won several several games. Got added by him and told him great game but got no response. Great idea op

    Quote from Shed >>

There is little to no reason not to play Galakrond and Quest together. The invokes generates a crapton of value with the rush minions, you literally need to play only one Elementalist to max Galakrond and in the mean time your opponent is having a bad time dealing with all elementals and lackey value you are throwing at him with the looming threat of 4 giants at any time. All I did was to swap out the lackey totem, champs and gigglings for the elementalists, manics and galakrond himself.

Hsreplay says galakrond shamans not running quest win around 6-7% more of the time. Dw though apparently the non quest versions still win 80% of the time that they play galakrond. Insane but the stats don’t lie.

Galakrond shaman only has 3 matchups near 50% win rate out of the most played decks so far and they are quest hunter, holy wrath pally and galakrond shaman. Everything else is around 60 or higher. Yes people are still refining deck lists and learning the matchup but it’s still going to stay strong. I’m glad to see people trying to make decks work and trying to counter op decks but that doesn’t mean shaman is not op. It is. And I’d really like to try out fun new decks instead of just trying to play a couple counter decks because shaman is everywhere.

Getting to see more stats on hsreplay. Galakrond quest shaman has about 60% win rate on average right now. Galakrond Shaman has about a 67% win rate. People are still figuring out how to beat it so I’m sure it’ll go down a bit. The thing that bothers me though.. in galakrond shaman the player wins 80% of the time when they play galakrond. Just a bit strong.

edit: looked up matchups. ITS WORST MATCHUP IS TO GALAKROND SHAMAN. That’s right. The lowest win rate match up is a 50/50 followed closely by quest hunter and holy wrath paladin and pretty much nothing else. Just a bit strong. Better get used to this for awhile.

posted a message on [Ranked] Stuck at r21 : so much Gold Player it's discouraging.

It sounds like you don’t have the biggest of a collection. I wouldn’t worry a ton about your rank and try and have more fun with finding decks you like playing. In most games I usually find that I learn best by watching better players.

I also find many golden players at low ranks, especially in wild. I think standard might be easier for low ranks just because people usually play wild and low ranks for easy quest wins.

For years now hunter has always had pretty good cheap budget decks you can make because the midrange decks don’t usually run epics or legendaries.

I would suggest you just work on decks you like playing and getting more experience if you’re still fairly new. You’ll get rank 20 in no time don’t worry :)
