I think they should change the pitty timer to 1 legendary in 20 packs...
You would still get people then saying it should be 1 in 15 or 1 in 10 and the same complaints will remain. It would be great but I don't for a minute think it would satisfy the community so probably no real point in doing it.
Sure 20 is just a suggestion which makes sense as most people seem to get that as an average. Now the deviation is huge with lucky players getting 4 times more legendaries than some unlucky ones. It simply makes impossible to the unlucky ones to make good decks especially if their bad luck is such that they only get the worse legendaries. If you wanna play a card game, you'll have to accept a degree of randomness but that doesn't mean you want to end up with lottery like results.
A ratio of 1 to 4 is simply to high but you sure can argue about the exact pity timer and variation below it...
There have been reports that the pity timer was bugged. My best bet is that you opened 40+ DMF packs without getting a legendary earlier and recieved compensation.
First time, I didn't count the packs per legendaries so I cannot confirm but, at the end of the opening, I'm sure I was close to 40 packs and I still haven't opened a legendary with the packs I bought from my rewards so you might well be right so I should have exceeded 40. So I'll have to decide if I still keep on opening thinking I'm close to 40 or if they did reset and I'm now starting with a pity timer at 0...
Anyway, communication doesn't seem to be something Blizzard even heard of...
Same here, didn't even play yesterday and only preordered the small bundle and got my normal legendary for it at release...4_77 could be right, I see only compensation... or bug (but that one wouldn't be in our favor ;-p )
It's funny you ask now when the first funny DH deck seems to appear. It's a childish reaction to turn one's nose up at a class because the only deck most people did create out of it is lame (no intention here to offend anyone so please don't pick up a fight). DH was annoying (to say the least) at release and many cards were sheer folly. That's true and that's what turned me away from the class at the time. Today I started experiencing the Soul DH and had fun with it (exploding one of those shitty slow thinking priest was the best part (no I'm not member of the "little priest tiddy baby hate club")) so why not???
This depends a lot on how much dust you have. I had a good stash of dust laid by when the expansion dropped, so I went ahead and crafted Infiltrator Lilian for my Tempo Rogue deck and a few epics as well. But I'm holding off crafting any more until the first round of nerfs. So in my case, I was able to compromise and craft some fun stuff and hold the rest of my dust back. If you have a good sum of dust, maybe you want to do the same. If you don't have much, maybe hang onto it.
But also, like a poster said above, you do you. You have to decide how to balance what's fun now (craft stuff and play it) vs rewarding later (hold onto your dust).
This says it all. I start feeling like a dragon sleeping on my dusty pile of gold but, even if I could craft all decks I want, I tend to wait for the meta to settle and ideally the first round of nerfs... Just crafted Kreen (because he sounded nice in a quest hunter deck) and secret passage (Kingsbane new friend)...
80 packs: the usual 1 in 20 ratio so 4 Legendaries (seemingly not the worst ones). Why would I complain, it's been like that on each and every expansion (or close)?
I didn't count the golden ones as, of course, there was none therein...

Maybe it would be better to restart your poll rather than reviving this old topic?
It's more crucial now with the new 800/1000 XP quests. I would often like to be able to play without triggering a quest

On the other hand, the question is: do you care for golden cards? To me, a golden legendary is a free legendary of my choice!
It's a lot easier when you'r sure it's a worthless one of course otherwise why not keep it and enjoy the shiny taste when you play it...
One thing is sure don't disenchant if you're not in desperate need for dust...

I opened my first legendary in 10th pack so I guess it worked for me

Here is the answer: no pity timer on golden packs

That is quite an old bug (don't even remember when it started). It doesn't seem like they care as it has no impact on the game...
