Definitely good in Wild Giantlock but unusable with the current card pool in Standard. Sure, you've put down a Summoning Portal and the legendary. You have 2 more mana to play 2 copies of a 3-cost minion. What is the insane combo you gonna pull off? Double Portal and 2 copies of a 5-cost minion? Which one is worth having 3 cambo pieces that are useless on their own? Really, the mechanic is cool. But the cost coupled with 10 mana limit kills its potential with everything except for 0-costed giants.

This might be usable in Quest Warrior and Quest Priest. Both Warrior and Priest get very good sustain from this card, many core quest-enablers are odd-costed. Shadow Word: Death, Psychic Scream, Shield Slam, Reckless Flurry and Brawl are all odd-costed. Many good taunts cost 3 or 5. As for pure Control Warrior, it would need an Execute replacement. If it gets an odd-costed single-target removal, this might be used there.

Perhaps, it may even be used in an Aggro Hunter with mostly 1 and 3-costed cards, since it can play two 1-drops on turn 2 and start hero-powering from turn 4 onwards. 3 unavoidable damage a turn will be pretty oppressive. Kill Command, Deadly Shot, Hunter's Mark, Ironbeak Owl and all the bows are still available to the deck. I think it may get away with having only Leeroy and this costing more than 3 mana.

So many people are still underestimating the power of Lifesteal. This might be what makes Corpsetaker usable for many classes, as it has only 2 stats less than the neutral lifesteal worm while costing 2 less. This is definitely playable as is. If we get a good Divine Shield + Taunt or Divine Shield + Windfury option, it will become very good. Perhaps, a Corpsetaker Keleseth Rogue will become a great deck again. Lifesteal becomes much more powerful when the minion gets buffed.

I actually expect that it will find its place in Handlock. Both Giants will be even-costed. Twilight Drake, Sunfury Protector and Defender of Argus cost 2 and 4. Defile, Hellfire, Siphon Soul, Twisting Nether and DK will still be usable, all while being able to tap the first half of the game for 1 mana. I suspect that it will be very good.

It might be usable in Token Paladin and Token Shaman, perhaps an Inspire Mage in Wild with Coldarra Drake and Fallen Hero. It's a pity that it doesn't work with Justicar Trueheart though. If they make an even-costed equivalent of Brawl, this might even be used in a slow Warrior deck, since most of its removal and good legendaries are still usable with this card.

Synergy with Summoning Portal is an interesting one. If there is another cost-reducer and a couple more usable echo minions, this might result in an interesting version of Zoolock.

This card is too slow for Quest Rogue, only usable if any effects that reduce cost of echoes are released for Rogue. Might be usable in Quest Warrior, but hopefully that deck never comes back.

As for other decks, 2/4 for 3 is not constructed viable. Spending all of your mana on it doesn't make it any better.

That's definitely a good one. I won't be surprised, if this card finds its place in an aggressive warrior deck to clear taunts and make favourable trades.

posted a message on Hearthstone is now on a massive decline ?

New player experience is probably very rough at this point, but starting in a month (when the new year begins) might be slightly easier. I wouldn't say that "Hearthstone is now on a massive decline", it sounds like you are simply not satisfied with their bussiness model. If you regret that you wasn't around when Hearthstone just released and it's too hard to keep up now, try the new Fable card game, it literally released last week. It even has cartoonish art style as well. If you don't like having a lot of new cards each year, try one of the indy CCGs, there are tons of them on the market. Most of them are very generous and some are updated only once/twice a year, so you can get a complete collection relatively fast and not bother with keeping up for a long time.

As was already said above, too many flying characters are already depicted on cards, Flying is not going to happen in this game.

posted a message on Of all the changes they could have made to the ladder they missed the most obvious one.

If everyone is playing Paladins and Priests, pick a deck that is favoured against at least one of them, tech against popular decks. It sure sucks to meet several bad matchups in a row but if the playing field is predictable, it's easier to rank up.

Class-based restrictions wouldn't do much because often a single class has multiple decks with very different matchup spreads (such as aggro paladin/nzoth paladin), while several classes may use identical neutral package and play similarly with the same good/bad matchups (pirates/bonemare/creepers before nerfs).

posted a message on Speculation Thread: New Expansions in 2018

    1. Duskwood or Terokkar. The color scheme reminds of Terokkar, but two Outland-related expansions in a year seem unlikely. As for Duskwood, there's also a portal to the Emerald Dream there, so it may get added to the mix.

    2. Netherstorm without doubt. Will probably feature both Eco-Domes and Tempest Keep.

    3. Too generic. White dots at the bottom of the image resemble a smiling frog, whatever it may hint. If both of the first two expansions are related to Outland, then maybe the third one will be related as well. So, maybe Zangarmarsh with Nagas? Colors are off though.

So, greedy decks won't have to manage their hand size outside of 10-card limit. That further simplifies the game, I don't like this change.

As for neutral draw, there's still Acolyte of Pain that usually draws 2 cards for 3 mana with no downside, as well as Engineers and Hoarder.

I expected this move. Hopefully, it means that other nerfed cards may move next year to HoF in their unnerfed versions as well (Starving Buzzard, Ancient of Lore, Force of Nature, Blade Flurry).
