Dunscot posted a message on Tempo Mage Asserts Itself in the Post-Nerf MetaPosted in: NewsRegarding all the negative comments about how good Mage is...
I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but I am still more concerned about Control Warlock/Cubelock. Say what you want about Tempo Mage or Murloc Paladin or Big Priest, at least all these decks will likely disappear with the next expansion. Warlock might face a new counter or goes all the Priest route and receives yet another overpowered stalling card, and then as a result gets nerfed after being uncontested number 1 for roughly two months, but otherwise won't be affected much by the rotation.
Mage loses Medivh's Valet, Firelands Portal, Kabal Lackey and most importantly Kabal Crystal Runner, so the Secret-M has a lot to compensate. Paladins lose Grimscale Chum, Vilefin Inquisitor, Rallying Blade, Stand Against Darkness and Steward of Darkshire, making both Murloc and Recruit a good deal weaker, Priest loses... just about everything, and Druid doesn't look too well either without Jades or Mark of the Lotus. I guess all classes can still go with Spiteful Summoner to cheese games (so much for class diversity and identity), but in the meantime, Warlock loses Misstress of Mixtures and, only for the super lategame, N'Zoth.
So yeah, Mage might still be annoying and sometimes frustrating to play against for the next 8 weeks or so, but after that, I would have my money on Warlock. That is, if the next expansion does not make it irrelevant somehow.

This minion has to be killed by bringing it to exactly 0 health. If you hit this with 8 damage for example, it will go to -3 health, meaning its new health would be 3. If you were to then hit it with 4 damage, it would go to -1 and have 1 as its new health.

AkiraTerion posted a message on Standard Budget Hearthstone Decks for Laddering in The WitchwoodPosted in: NewsThe comment section, once again, starts with stuff that makes me shake my head.
Hearthpwn posts all high end, top meta decks with dust costs of 7-13k. "OMG HearthPwn, where's the budget decks?!"
Hearthpwn takes the time to collect budget decks to help those with less dust. "LOL, how would this stand up to the meta?!"Never gonna please everybody. I know it should be obvious by now, but it never ceases to amaze me.

HeavenHs posted a message on How High Can I Climb? May Rank Season: Part 2Posted in: NewsThis set of articles is giving me cringe. It's been like:
1. Hi, I am a forum-article-guy, which means I might read some forums right ?
2. So I've started playing F2P-unfriendly game like HS.
3. But instead of reading forums and watching streams, like you would expect me to, and crafting cheap, new-player-skill-friendly and fast aggro deck. I started to mess up with some non-complete and expensive versions of control decks.
4. So I was stuck at R15. Then I rethinked my approach and crafted even more expensive deck, alright ? Got rank 10.
5. In the end, instead of training with some particular skill-based archetype. I went for considerably expensive, draw dependent, near-auto-pilot ( mistakenly considered a control ) Hadronox deck. And got Rank5.
6. Look, neither my own gaming experience nor forum and stream study did that for me, but DUST that allowed me to assemble one of auto-pilot decks like Hadronox or Shudderwock. What ?

Exactly, Priest lost Duskbreaker, Psychic Scream, Spirit Lash, etc. If they will get a new board clear they will be dangerous again.
