OmarComing posted a message on Corrupted Blood/Prince Liam interactionPosted in: General DiscussionYeah I just played a game with this same experience. I saw the Corrupted Blood and was confused, but then he played Spiritsinger Umbra which was tagged as being created by Prince Liam. Kind of an odd decision regarding the graphics, seems like it should just draw as normal without the blood reference.

Xenoblade_Hero posted a message on Card Nerf - Saronite Chain GangPosted in: Card DiscussionShudderwock has always been strong in tournament play over ranked play, recent tournaments with the current expansion have shown this is still the case so I'm glad laddering isnt the only factor being addressed in changes.
It also helps vs Keleseth highrolls which is very relevant to ladder, but doesn't destroy the card entirely as it's still a great turn 4 play. Overall I see this as a great quality of life change even as a Shudderwock player

Zyjinn posted a message on New Priest Card Reveal - Cloning DevicePosted in: NewsPeople keep saying this should be in rogue, but did everyone just forget about mind visions, and similar cards that priest takes from your opponents hand or deck. Even chameleos is on the same vein. Rogue is all about your opponents class, priest is about their actual deck.

"Mana Treants do count as Treants. We're going to be updating Living Mana's text to make that more clear - it'll say that it summons "2/2 Treants" instead of "2/2 minions""

The entire spell would complete before the spellburst triggers so it should work Exactly as expected for the Shadowflame eg you get the shadowflamed minion and the minions it kills.

Couldn’t give just 1. Being a Mac gamer my list would be a little limited. Blizzard had a lot of my faves.
Starcraft, Diablo 2, Warcraft series Particularly II and III (not reforged), Burning Crusade and Hearthstone of course.
Outside Blizzard I would say the Civ series. Civ V being my favourite. KOTOR. Deus Ex and For Gameboy Zelda Links Awakening.
There’s loads I could say, I couldn’t give just 1, sorry.

God the tin foil hats and confirmation bias is strong in this thread.
The MMR (or rank when no star bonus) is the only thing that determines how you are matched. Most players should get someone of equal skill/deck strength most game and therefore a roughly 50%There is no hidden smart algorithm that conspires to pit you against counter decks. This is purely confirmation bias. You only notice these things when they go against you and you don’t notice when things are going well. Things like local metas can cause these streaks.
If you really believe this exist please provide the evidence and significance statistical data and not just a “gut feeling”.
Occasional streaks like these are actually statistically expected. It’s not surprising with the thousands if players a few will notice things like this.

It is not rigged. There is no magic algorithm that just decides to stop your win streak and you will have no evidence of any such algorithm beyond your own confirmation bias. What stops win streaks is simply the fact a high streak will push you up the MMR and you will start playing better players/better decks and it’s the better players and maybe some bad luck/mistakes that stops your win streak.
You only like to blame some magic algorithm because you can’t admit you made mistakes, had some bad luck or were out played.
The MMR system they use is one based on similar rating systems used in chess and other similar ranking systems they are pretty well known and understood.
If you don’t understand these systems and truly believe there some smart algorithm out there to stop you winning then I’ll point you towards the tin foil hat shop over there ——> ..... It’s next to the flat earth convention and the shop for the lizard people. kappa.
Also no one is saying the systems help F2P, over say people that buy packs, just the new MMR system is better now than it was for them. Under the new system they are now less likely to face high legend players at the start of the season and will more likely play players of similar skill/deck strength.

Gotta love people that don’t understand MMR.
The whole point of the MMR is to match you as closely as possible to your skill/deck strength so that everyone ends up playing people of roughly they same difficulty/quality, hence why they system will trend towards a 50% win rates.
It not fixed, that’s how it works.
You win more, the more your MMR increases, the better the players or the better the decks they will be running. Simple as that.
This actually favours FTP, new and homebrew players because you are actually kept out of the clutches of high rank legend players, even at the start of a season and play other players of similar MMR.
I'm sorry you can no longer pwn old rank 15-20 noobs with your jank homebrew decks. Boohoo.

I’m not a big fan of BG and it seems like all the popular steamers and youtubers seems to only do BGs or MTGA theses days. There seems to very few constructed hearthstone steamers these days.

Everyone is hitting legend cause everyone’s locked inside. 🤣
